Summary: Correct assesment
Review: While I believe (or rather hope, I havent dated ONE femme as of to date, I had better things to concentrate on Im 21) that all american women arent like this, this book probably correctly points out the matieralistic attitudes of teenage girls and women my age. Ask any older 35+ year old woman about younger women they'll agree with you they are MOSTLY lunatics.
A friend of mine (whos ten years older) pointed out to me once that hes slept with women out of wedlock and afterwords they force him to repay them in jewlery etc. And this book mentions just exactly that. After reading this book and researching female vice and greed on my own, I for one will NEVER worry about sex or be completely hung up about it like some of the men I work with are, those men are prime targets for female "sex-exploitators". Also, after all the pain the woman will put you thru after sex will not be worth the short pleasure anyhow.
Btw, does your girlfriend even RESPECT your decision to say no to her when she wants sex? From what Ive heard from other men after reading this book, I seriously doubt it. Chances are no to her means "a delayed yes". Just like a spoiled child. You say no, shell keep up and up not letting you sleep, and if you do give in she will force you to repay her in matieral things when you didn't want it in the first place hence pat of the reason this book uses the term "rationalized prostitution".
If your naieve and think that women dont practice some of the vices mentioned in this book then go into the magazine section of any store and find Cosmopolitan magazine (imo that magazine is a slight step above [or below] Maxim and other men's mags) and read some of the articles that mention things like: "How to seduce him", "How to get what you what". And if you STILL refuse to believe that women are nowhere near the goddesses that mom always led you to believe, theres not much hope for you.
The book does get a little ridicoulus and over the top at points, but you should read it and come away from it feeling that women are not always the "innocent" victims that the movies, press, and television likes to portray. They are plenty of female swines out there just like there are male swines.
This book needs to exist in an anti male world that constantly blames men for everything wrong in a relationship when it fails. Perhaps this will help eradicate some of the ridculuos stacked decks women have in court (don't get me started on divorce and "family" courts), work place (how many men have lost their job because they may have so much as looked at a women wrong), and in the dating scene (women treating decent nice gentlemen like s..t and thinking nothing of it, taking off with a piece of scum on a Harley, looking only for affluent men to pay their way even if they are abusive a***), thanks to the feminism of the 50s, 70s, and most of today's young women all do this.

Summary: Love it.
Review: Love it. Perfect. So, so true. As someone else has commented, the author really understands women and isn't afraid to expose their scams.

Summary: From what I've seen
Review: A friend loaned me this book and told me it would change my life. Well I read it and I don't believe that all women are as bad as mentioned in the book, there are some though. After I gave it back I pointed out to him that his fiancé makes more than he does. In fact, for all of my friends in "serious" relationships, she earns more than he does. Now maybe I'm just in a very small minorty here, but a lot of my buddies are either now finding out "I need a college education", or some just never left acadamia. Despite the fact that these guys were either getting a stipend or work a part time job to fill in the time between classes, they managed to attract women.
And to be honest, yes I am single am able to keep every penny I earn and use it for what ever I see fit.

Summary: Very well written
Review: After reading this very well-written, very well-researched book, I can understand why women are threatened by its content, and so try to malign the author. In our extremely sexist (female-biased) society, where women can get away with murder by manipulating men with sex, such a book as this will send shock waves through the female community, which is so used to being able to exploit men.

Every man in America should read this book!

Summary: Tells the truth!
Review: Believe it or not, a female friend told me to read the book because, as she said, "The author knows exactly what women are all about." So I did, and she's right. This is an excellent, well-written, well-researched book which really dares to tell the truth about female behavior--how mercenary it is and how duplicitous it is. Three cheers for Matthew Fitzgerald for having the guts to put this out there!

Summary: Excellent book!
Review: I just read a review bashing the book, so I had to respond. The book I got is in perfect condition, obviously printed with high-grade materials; it is also excellently written, without the repetition the reviewer complains about. Clearly she didn't attain a new copy through Amazon--maybe she read a copy which some angry woman (threatened by the truth) tried to destroy.

Obviously the reviewer is a woman, and precisely the kind of woman Mr. Fitzgerald writes about: threatened by the exposure of the truth about mercenary female behavior and overflowing with self-deceit. Her response to Fitzgerald's compelling writing and hard-hitting observations is ad hominem arguments, which means that she doesn't have a leg to stand on and knows it. He review only serves to underscore Mr.Fitzgerald's whole thesis.

Summary: Now men are exploiting men!
Review: The central concept of this book is that women use men for money. Gee, I never realized. Sarcasm aside, the book is poorly written, stereotyping all women into undeserving ungrateful prostitutes. The pages are filled with vulgar profanity and female bashing, with an overall tone that treats women more like chattle than humans. The physical properties of this book aren't any better than its content. Toward the end of the book, aproximately ten to twelve pages (two pages at a time facing each other) did not get printed! I suspect that no reputable printer would touch this garbage, and the author set up some makeshift infrerior printing press in his garage.

A brief summary of the book: It is about 120 pages. Out of the 120 pages, the same thing is repeated over and over again in any way the author could find. Women use guys for money. This takes up about 75 pages from beginning to end of the book. In order to add "filler" to make this look almost like a legitimate publication, the author includes about 40 pages of female bashing quotes taken from guys on the streets. That's the book in a nutshell.

Of course anyone should be skeptical when reading reviews from women about a book of this subject, and I was too. However, words can't express how bad (on many levels) this book is. The author clearly has gotten severely burned by women in his lifetime and then chose to use his experiences to write this hate filled tribute to the opposite sex. In doing so, he is now burning all of the men that spend their hard earned money to buy this garbage! Come on guys, we all know that some women are only out there for one thing, just use common sense. Trust me, you would get more satisfaction spending your money on a date that doesn't put out than filling this guys pockets by buying his book.

Summary: "they want their cake and eat it, too!"
Review: This is a shocking, no-nonsense book that affirms the seldom spoken about observations of most men. However, I do believe that Matt Fitzgerald could have made better distinctions amongst women--of course, they are not all golddiggers, nor are they all of the same age group or ethnicity (things that influence behavior). Nor do I agree, as the author asserts, that all stay-at-home mothers, esp. those homeschooling the children, are goading her husband for more money. These days, most of those families are not well-to-do (husbands are blue-collar) and the woman is concerned about the ability to provide as a parent for the kids--not herself.

However, I do believe that the tenor of this book best describes and applies to American yuppie, college-bound/educated (the most corrupting influence of all), hotel bar-hopping nouveau-riche women. Women nowadays in this society benefit from more economic opportunity than their male counterparts, graduating from college and pursuing advanced study at twice the rate of males. Yet it is still inculcated within the youth as a matter of "etiquette" that the guy still always pays--and given the overall rise in the standard of living of this society--he pays big! And given the sexual promiscuity that is extant w/in this cross-section of the population, women who date will have sex w/ the men they date--the men who pay--ergo, the author's term for dating, "legalized prostitution."

Of course, some of these "upper-crust" women decide to be pseudo-traditional as wives--to the extent that they don't go to work (or at most perhaps teach grade-school for half a day 9 mos/yr). Beyond that, they will have no more than 2-3 kids that they shuffle bet. day-care and "activities," providing her with plenty of "time to herself"--e.g., mall, spa, tennis, etc (all which daddy pays for)... This contrasts with the true tradition of mothers with 5-10 kids and all domestic responsibility. American women are now above that, right? At least they think so. What a raw deal for a guy, who in his profession must compete with these women for his own job, by which they coldly assess his worth as a human.

So women are kind of like cars--go with foreign!!! Most other societies have not experienced as much women's lib. nonsense (and are accustomed to a lower standard of living) as the US, and in those that have (like northern Europe), women's equality is taken seriously--they will actually pay their own way and initiate dates!!! The games that US woman play won't fly. Sure, social considerations still exist in other countries--but on the level that those societies (unlike the US) have social-class systems (w/less mobility) and expect people to betroth within their own strata--"marrying up" is seldom an option. The Cinderella's of America need to get over themselves.

Summary: Hillarious and so true!
Review: I read this small book in an afternoon and laughed my head off. There is nothing in this book that hasn't occured to any single guy out there or even married guys for that matter..... It's well put together and is the kind of book you'd share with your buddies and talk about..... far from the correct-ness of women's perception of the situation or the politically correct atmosphere most of us work and live in. Not to be taken too seriously, just really funny and well done. Bravo.
