Rating: Summary: this book tells it all! in at times somewhat raw language. Review: this book gives all the reasons a man will cheat,& how he cheats, & who enables him. there's some raw language in the stories he tells of his own situations he found himself in. this book is especially good for women to read if they want to know how, when & why men cheat. I found it very valuable information.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Should be in the library of both sexes. Review: Although most women are aware of the moves of the "players," it was enlightening to actually see the confessions in print. The author brilliantly captured the roles of both sexes in the games that are played in the name of or search for "love." It was both humorous and sad.
Rating: Summary: Never Satisfied: How & Why Men Cheat by Michael Baisden Review: The author offers a lot of insight into how male-female relationships truly operate in the 90s and how our relationships will continue to maintain a downward spiral if positive solutions are not placed on the table. I appreciate the fact that the author did interview real life people who did experience real life situations. He offers a nice blend of drama as well as comedy. I am anxiously awaiting to read his next book entitled "Men Cry In The Dark" which I did purchase at the same time. My next review is on its way :)
Rating: Summary: Excellent Guide to the Cheating Male Psyche Review: Absolutely superb read. Wish I knew about this book earlier, before I dove into the dating game. I was on a quest to learn about the male mind when I stumbled apon this book. Though I have read a bunch of novels written by male authors from a male perspective, this was single handedly the best guide to the male psyche. Thanks to Mr. Baisden, I will never be played or taken advantage of. Ever!
Rating: Summary: A humorous, but not fully believable insight... Review: I've read a variety of Baisden's works and, easily, this is the best of them so far. The behaviors, explanations, and testimonials appear most believable when placed in a southern or middle American setting. From my experience, I'd find it hard to imagine in the Big Apple. As a result, it serves more as an entertainment device than an informative device for me. Some of the passages made me burst out laughing in full hysterics. I've often recommended it to others from that alone.
I couldn't advise a woman to read this to truly learn about a cheating personality, but it could certainly illuminate one to possible traits with the use of intelligent reasoning. More often than not, the answer is obvious. Besides, that's what private investigators are for. Kidding!
Rating: Summary: Won't the REAL men please stand up... Review: And tell us that you don't actually behave this way? Written from the viewpoint of the reformed Playa himself, this book goes so deeply into "How to be a Playa" and "Any reason is a good excuse to cheat", then devotes, what? Two pages to the disclaimer that cheating is damaging to relationships? He makes it seems like if a man cheats, it is because of something a woman did or didn't do. How much responsibility for the crime does Mr. Baisden place on the cheater himself? I only have to hope that there are men who cherish good relationships and women in general, not who feel trapped and suffocated by their women and are "forced" to go out and cheat. To the reader who said, "Why bother?", I pretty much agree. It doesn't seem to matter how wonderful BOTH of you think the relationship is or how much he is in love, he will probably search for sex elsewhere if you forget to take the dishes out of the dishwasher. As for the book, and others by this author, it is very disappointing that the grammatical errors are distracting to say the least. Spell check, proofreading, and writing lessons will help that. The author's immature approach to shedding light on one of the most devastating issues in relationships? No help there.
Rating: Summary: Simply Wonderful!! Review: Loved this book. I really got an inside peek at the heart of a man and why so often things don't work out. Now that I know why men are at times unable to commit. I am now ready to read the latest work by LaDawn Black - Stripped Bare: 10 Tested Truths for Landing the Very Best Black Man.
Rating: Summary: TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT.... Review: I already knew this book was going to be funny, but I didn't expect it to be hilarious! Honestly, I wouldn't think it was funny if I was one of these women...but I'm not...so I loved it! It was an entertaining read and brutally honest. Mr. Baisden deserves a pat on the back for telling it like it is. The story about Patrick was the best of them all!
