Summary: Overwhelming and Exciting!!!!!!
Review: I am a 35 five year old divorced woman with five children,from New York. The book I read "Men cry in the dark". I was overwhelmed. I could not put the book down. I was happy to read a book about successful black men and their relationship. The books I read were about men how they cheat and dishonest. I felt good to read a book about men that were senitive,honest,and felt good about their woman in their lives. I laugh out loud. I really enjoyed this book. I am going to tell all my girlfriends to read it and my male friends too.

Summary: A book written for the millinium.
Review: I found this book to be very helpful when it comes to looking at your own personal relationships. I recently went to one of your seminars at the CSU Convocation Center. I realized after reading this book that I allowed my ex husband to not only cheat on me, but played a big part in his decision making. I feel the second most important thing I learned from this book is that if you are not compatible with your partner the relationship will eventual fail.Thank you, for writing a book to help the black woman understand the black man and the relationships we develop.

Summary: Loved the Book
Review: A co-worker, who never reads, read the book and suggested that I read it. I loved it. I am in a transition period between marriage and divorce and it helped me to see how men think as it relates to male-female relationships. Even though we were married 22 years, I saw some errors that I made in the relationship in this book. I highly recommend this book.

Summary: Interesting
Review: I'm torn between whether I liked this one or not. I did enjoy the reading because it was entertaining, however, I think my let down was due to all the hype I had heard about it prior to my reading it. Or, maybe it was because I think that I am in a different place than the situations and characters he described. I would probably recommend it as a fun loving sociological study that should be viewed more as entertainment rather than normal everyday life. Besides what's true for some may not always be true for others.

Summary: Could not put the book down
Review: I am a 34 year old black male businesss owner and I havent read a hole book since I graduated from high school.I read this book (Men Cry In The Dark) in 23 hrs because it grabed me and I just couldn't put it down. I have been happily married for 10 years and with the same women for 17 years. Although the storie didnt relate to me directly I felt that I was personally connected to every one in the book. I must also say that this one book has inspired me to read more books written by black Authors and I cant wait for the new book to be released. I am also going to run out and pick up How and why men cheat today. Thank you Michael Baisden for inspiring me.

Review: An associate gave me this book to read. From the first word I was hooked. All men should read this book and be true about its content. Another great book about relationship. I can't wait to read the next one.

Summary: The male version of waiting to exhale
Review: I could not put this book down! Every paragraph was intense for me. After reading the first chapter I called my friend in Orlando, Florida and told her to pick up your book so, we could have a male bashing session afterward. To my surprise that was not needed. We had both gone through some of the same things that were discussed in the book and were able to shed light on certain situations. So to all you women out there that even thinks your man is cheating, you better pick up this book and learn a lesson on your mate. To Michael, I love you and my friend loves you to (since I put her up on game). I can't wait until you come back to Los Angeles, CA. You know the fellas out here is hating on you for keeping it real. But the ladies love you!!

Summary: Could not put the book down, stayed up all night to finish.
Review: I found the story resembled Terry McMillan's, "Waiting to Exhale". It could be described as a male version. Perhaps the story could be criticized for the same banality as Ms.McMillan's. It was still totally enjoyable. Sometimes we can be equally entertained by different types of writing depending on the mood. I enjoyed the charcacters and the story line. The book was self published and I understand that Mr.Baisden is a novice so I say kudos, job well done. I will still read his other book even though I felt it was unfavorably reviewed. We must give the writer credit where it is due. The number of African American writers discussing relationships in the way Mr.Baisden does is not real large. In addition there is room enough for him. If you want Walter Mosley read Mr.Mosley. I look forward to more writings from Mr.Baisden. As for the nay sayers about his relationship expertise, let he who can do a better job step into the limelight. Mr.Baisden has an audience. We live in a free capitalist society that allows him to enjoy the fruits of his labor along with his market of readers. You go brother!

Summary: Eye-opening...
Review: First of all I would like to state that Michael Baisden put this important issue together very well. The book really explains why and how certain incidents happen in relationships between men and women. How the respect and love level is not being handle in the proper manner. It also expresses that certain women will allow infidelity to go on in the relationship and steadily lets him back in. The positive aspect of the book is that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. It's all in how the persons morals and values are in relation to having and appreciating who you are involve with. Congrads Michael, keep up the positive material and maybe one day this continous cycle of infidelity will decrease or better yet...STOP, always keep hope alive. P.S. If you know of any book clubs out here in Atlanta, I would love to join. Reading material like yours keeps books as one of my favorite hobbies. Ms. T. Luckett

Review: I just ended a relationship with a man that had a girlfriend, and this book helped me to do so. I believed the lies about what a horrible person she was and how she treated him so badly, and now I realize I was the fool. After reading your book, I now realize I have to set higher standards, not only for myself, but for my daughter as well. How can I teach her about love if I don't know myself? I am greedily awaiting your next book, Michael! I went to the seminar you held at GA State Univ and you have given me the courage to pursue my first true love-writing. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you have the opportunity, please write back with a few tips on how you got started and how you stay motivated.
