Summary: Brain-Behavior Disorders- A Practical and Useful Source
Review: Drs. Sbordone and Saul have written an extremely informative and practical book on behavioral disorders consequent to brain disease. These two authors, a neuropsychologist and a neurologist-psychiatrist, have combined their expertise in a highly synergistic way. The product is a book which successfully (and accessibly) covers topics from the discipline of neuropsychology to neuroanatomy and neurobehavioral disorders to neuropsychological assessment and tests. One of the unique aspects of this book is the ability to look at these patients from a cross-disciplinary view. A second strong aspect is the excellent coverage of the effects of traumatic head injury. A third valuable aspect is the detailed discussion of the mental status and neuropsychological assessment. A fourth aspect is the series of sample cases and reports with their critiques. In addition, the book has an remarkable set of appendices with a great glossary of terms, drugs, and tests.

This book has a great deal of useful information organized in a very readible format. In fact, one of the aspects that recommend it is the ability to quickly refer to a pertinent topic, disorder, or specific neuropsychological test. I strongly recommend this book.
