Summary: Great program--especially for busy moms like me!
Review: I got this book in early March; I was skeptical at first, but decided that I would give the program a chance. I decided to try it for one week, and if it worked, I would continue. Well, that first week, I lost 8 pounds! Very motivating! I have now been on the program for eight weeks now and have dropped 18 pounds, and have lost inches--I have gone from a size 14 to a size 10 in that short period of time, and I am starting to see some muscle definition :-) After the first week, my weight loss has averaged 2 pounds a week--just as Jorge claims. The diet is very healthy, and the workout is simple. It is very easy to stick w/this program, especially if you don't have a lot of time to spend working out. Only complaint that I have is that he needs to publish a supplemental workout log so when you use up the charts in this book, you can continue.

Summary: This is a great program!
Review: I am now in my 2nd week of 8MM. It is just challenging enough to keep me motivated and easy enough to keep me interested. I've lost 3 lbs just doing the exercises every morning. I feel great; I have lots of energy. I'm especially happy with the idea of not having to do endless repetitions of the same exercise - every day is different, working a different part of the body. I can see results after only one week.

Summary: Thank God for Jorge Cruise!
Review: I was sitting on the edge of my bed. I had just said, "Oh God, I need to loss this weight. It's not me; but how can I do it?" Within seconds Jorge Cruise comes onto my TV screen. I must say I was skeptical at first when I got the book. I saw Jorge on the early show, briefly. He was demonstrating some exercises and then said, "It you got 8 minutes, I can guarantee that you can lose weight." Well, that sounded fantastic, almost to good to be real. So I went to Amazon.com read up on the book and then placed an order.

It took me a week to read through the book and get my weights, photo, etc. before I could begin. I wanted to see if this diet really going to work. I had tried a number of diets and always gave up because they didn't suit me or my lifestyle.

I must say, Jorge it works! I'm into my second week and I've lost 4 pounds and about 3 inches. I went to put on one of my dresses and it fell to the floor instead of my mid-calf. It was so encouraging. Already family and friend say they see the weight loss, and now I have so much energy.

Move over fat, I'm getting leaner!

I liked the idea behind 8 Minutes in the morning in that it combined simple, but effective exercies that could be done

Summary: Try this program before you try anything else!
Review: I've just completed my first week of the 8 Minutes in the Morning
Program.I have already lost 2 1/2 lbs. Here are my main reasons for urging to you drop whatever plan you are using now (if it is not working for you), and join us on the 8MM program: The exercises are actually doable, and take... you guessed it 8 MINUTES. You do only TWO different exercises in the morn. There is a VARIETY of exercises, so it's not the same ones every day. The meal plan is simple.The program is simple.The book supports you as if you had a personal trainer. The book gets you involved and has 'workbook' type pages, so you can see your progress. They have even included journal pages to fill in at the end of each day. Enough said - Just purchase it and know that you have found the program that you've been waiting for. You can do this and be successful, just like I am doing it. Wishing you the best in life!

Summary: Mom of two needs to find time for herself!!
Review: When I started this program I told myself that this was going to be the last time I tried a new program--If I didn't accomplish my goals this time I was going to forget about getting a lean helathy body and anything that went along with it. But I am sooooo excited I lost 4 lbs in my first week!!! I feel great!!

I love the diary format of this book,it helps keep you on track. The food plan is easy to follow as well as the exercises. The information on fat and types of fat are enlightening.

I've already recommended this program to some of my friends and my husband does the exercises with me.

Summary: Totally overrated
Review: I bought this book because some days my schedule is so busy I can't get to the gym, and I thought it would motivate me to do a "mini" workout at home before work. Unfortunately, the guidance is this book is so simplistic that it's virtually worthless. One needs about four to six hours of exercise a week to get anywhere. The diet information is extremely basic. I would recommend a personal trainer for one session (at a YMCA you can get a good orientation...) and a diet book such as Eat Drink and Be Healthy. With this approach you can build muscle and burn more calories, extend your life, feel great, get stronger, and look better, but you do have to work at it.

Summary: IT SHOULD BE CALLED 18 MINUTES IN THE MORNING!
Review: The exercises, especially when combined with the three pre-exercise and post-exercise stretches, take about 20 minutes to complete. Nevertheless, I like the simplicity of the exercises and the fact that four-weeks of daily exercises are provided and illustrated.

I feel that a lot of the book is filler (i.e. like the little meditational pep talks) but overall I am very happy with this book and plan to buy copies for loved ones.

Review: This is a plan that combines exercise (both strength-building and aerobic), a well-balanced food plan, and emotional/motivational work. I've just finished the first week, and am confident that I can stick with it.

Summary: Unbelievable!
Review: I have worked out for several years. If you do the same routine constantly it can be boring and unproductive. His excercises are always different. Also if time is an issue, which I think it is for most people, this is the book for you! You can achieve results without being bored and quickly. This is my third cycle with the excercises. I highly recommend the book.

Summary: Loose weight AND control your blood sugars
Review: The program described in this book is FANTASTIC!!! It combines all of the aspects needed to be successful in weightloss; weight training and exercise, motivation and inspiration, and diet and nutrition. The workbook format is easy and fun to use. I look forward to my exercises every morning!

I have type 1, insulin dependent diabetes and the absolute best part of following this program is the incredible blood sugar control I now have. Losing the weight is great, but attaining low, stable blood sugars is even better!
