Summary: Easy to do and keep on track!
Review: This book is great for beginners. The exercises are simple and can be done with supplies you have at home. I am at an intermediate level, so I've added 20 minutes of aerobic work for warm-up and I usually do 3 or 4 exercises each morning instead of 2, but it definately is easy to do and keep on track. Plus, if you are short on time, you really can do a warm-up and 2 exercises in less than 10 minutes!! Some good diet tips and recipes also included.

Summary: Worth every penny!
Review: I am presently on the program and enjoying every minute. It's very easy to read and it makes so much sense! The exercises are challenging, but the lifestyle change is attainable and...life-saving. Invest in yourself...in your future...and give this a try. It truly is a plan you can use for the rest of your life.

Summary: Best weight loss/fitness book
Review: I have read so many books and magazines looking for a weight loss/fitness program that works for me with my busy schedule. I found what I was looking for with this book! Jorge provides you with a food plan, a simple system for keeping track of what you've eaten, 2 daily fitness exercises for 28 days, as well as mental exercises daily that put you in the right frame of mind to conquer the weight loss. This book is meant to be written in. You'll mark off each set of the exercises you do each day in a chart he provides and there's a page devoted each day to recording your thoughts for the day. So actually, with this book you're getting a journal, a food plan, a food diary, mental and physical exercises, as well as motivation. Using the book along with his web site and e-mail is the best defence I've had against excess weight!

Summary: It Really IS 8 Minutes in the Morning!!!
Review: The title does not lie!! It really IS just 8 minutes!!If I can do this program, almost anyone can!! I had given up hope, and was in complete despair when Jorge's book caught my eye in the bookstore aisle. Not only do I have little time, but I also had almost NO energy due to severe thyroid disease. All the other programs in all those "other" books were too difficult for me! Even someone starting with less than average strength, like myself can do this!! 8 Minutes in the Morning is exceptionally well layed out. The format is simple with easy to follow weekly plans that make fitness possible for even the most time crunched individuals. The daily motivation that goes with each days exercise is just what you need to get going, but not so much that you get bogged down in reading! The nutrition advise is cutting edge with information on how "good fats" can help you lose weight AND stabilize your appetite. This is not the same old, tired, diet book. This is a message of hope and inspiration that is whithin reach of everyone!! I know, because I have lived this for a week and I am all ready stronger and losing weight! It's the first time in years that I know I WILL reach my goal!

Summary: 8MM Really Works!
Review: The title of this book intrigued me to try it, because if I can't invest just 8 Minutes a Day to MYSELF, then I have to have my head examined. The exercises are great, and the food suggestions really work. I love the flax oil that Jorge recommends, and find I use it all the time now. This book is not one to gather dust on my bookshelf - I'm using it everyday, and will continue until I reach my goal, and beyond.

Summary: Finally weight loss book you cannot say "NO" to!
Review: Jorge Cruise's Book and Tapes, "8 Minutes in the Morning" I found was simple enough weight loss program that you could actually have hope that you could follow through with the exercises and food plans.

I lost 7 lbs. my first week and 1.5 lbs. the second week and this program made be a believer, that I can go the distance and reach my goal weight.

He makes it so simple and so easy, that with just a little effort and a few minutes each day you can succeed.

My biggest problem has always been no motivation for exercise and every diet became my last meal. So each year, I just became heavier and heavier. I have learned through Jorge's book how to look at food and how to deal with food. There are no bad foods according to Jorge, so now I have no need for those last meal diets...I just need to choose quality and quanity. He has also made exercise so attainable that I have no excuse not to do it.

In just 2 weeks I feel so confident with Jorge's exercise and food outline that it has already become part of my daily life.

I recommend you not only read this book, but do the exercises, follow the food plan and do his assignments. The gain you will have from this is the reward of knowing you finally found something you can stay with and succeed with for the rest of your life...the loss is your body fat and getting to your ideal body weight.

Summary: Weight Loss Success Story!!
Review: I have been on Jorge's program for only a month now and I can't believe what I am seeing in the mirror now! I am posting this to help all of you in hopes that you will not only read his book, but purchase his progam and give it a try as well.

I look at food much differently than I did one month ago. The object is to be smarter about your diet and to then make smarter choices. I have news for all of you...you CAN teach an old dog new tricks...I'm living proof! A month ago I was eating what I thought was good for me and after about one week of Jorge's plan I realized that I had still been eating incorrectly. No wonder I was unable to lose weight for 18 years! I am so pleased to say that I have now (12/15)lost 10 pounds since the 9th of November and only have 20 pounds to go to my goal which I plan to lose by February 14th. This is the first I have been under 150 pounds in 18 years! Jorge's program not only showed me the error of my ways, it showed me how to correct them and have the conviction to stick with it! It's easy! If I can do it, anyone can do it.

To me, now, food and Jorge's plan are the road map for my journey to my desired weight. His system is simple and, in an organized format, explains everything you need to know to get to where you want to be in weight.

My first problem was that I wasn't eating enough protein. I would keep going to the gym, trying to build my strength and improve my muscle tone but I wasn't giving my muscles enough food for growth and repair! How dumb is this you might say...but if you don't know what you are doing, you don't do it right! Now, I am sure I get all my protein servings in my daily diet and I have found a new affinity for nuts. Walnuts, pecans and sunflower seeds ...I just love 'em!

I was also sabotaging myself with the wrong carbohydrates and worse yet, I was eating them at the wrong time of day. Yeah, I knew I had to eat them but what I had to get a handle on was the difference between complex carbohydrates and simple carbohydrates and their purpose in my diet. Complex carbohydrates are the ones you should eat. These will make your body a lean, mean, sexy machine! Complex carbohydrates balance insulin levels because they burn slower in your body and are foods containing more fiber (whole grains) than simple carbohydrates (processed white breads and rice) which are fast burning, contain more sugars and increase insulin levels drastically. It is much better to have a slow steady burn going on in your system all day if you want to lose weight. My motto is now...if it's white...don't eat it!

Vegetables are my friends especially the ones with the really bright colors! I love yellow peppers! I eat as many vegetables as I can (with the exception of potatoes and carrots). They are full of vitamins and minerals and have less sugar than fruit. Here, again, I was confused. I thought fruit and vegetables were on the same plain. Not so - so now instead of a piece of fruit for lunch...I have a plateful of veggies with tuna. Nothing is going to stop me now...

Water is the key to life! We are all close to 70% water and we need to keep that level balanced. The more water you put into your body the more hydrated and healthy you will become! You have to have it and it is infinitely better for you than other types of drinks. I always have a tall glass of water with me now no matter where I go. In fact, I am so particular about having it with me that I start to freak out when my glass get close to being empty and it's not convenient for me to get a refill. Water has no calories in it and your body needs it for maintaining blood volume, skin health and toxin release. Without it, you'll be dehydrated, whith lower blood volume. This makes your heart pump harder to move blood throughout your body which then makes you tired and without energy to exercise and ultimately unable to live life in an optimum manner. In addition, the electrical and chemical signals in your brain ride on water and it seems quite obvious to me that a lack of water could contribute to headaches and visits to "La La Land" better known as Alzheimers.

Jorge is Captain Weight Loss to me! I am so glad I was introduced to his program and I am now very much looking forward to February 14th when I will be 125 pounds, fit and healthy. Riverama...here I come...and I will be wearing that yellow polka-dot bikini!!!

Best of luck to all of you! I hope you have as much success as I have experienced so far!

Summary: New Year's Revolutions!
Review: Every year, for many years, I've listed "I will lose weight" as one of my New Year's Resolutions. And year after year, I have not followed through. Perhaps I have not achieved this goal because I did not have a game plan or realistic time frame for doing so. Now I have that plan--I read Jorge Cruise's book "8 Minutes in the Morning" less than a month ago, and have lost 7 pounds already. His approach to weight loss is easy, realistic and inspiring, and it works! Even if you think you've tried everything, your health is something you don't give up on. You have nothing to lose, except that excess weight.
