Rating: Summary: Beautiful book Review: I found this book on a school trip to Baton Rouge. I gave it to my mother for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. I recommend to anyone who just can't figure out how to say how much they love mom.
Rating: Summary: My Mom LOVED This Book Review: I gave this book to my mom this mothers day (2002). She received it early because I'm up at school and when she got the package early she just decided to open it up. As soon as she got it she gave me a call to let me know how much she loves it. She keeps it next to the sofa so she can read it every day. She also told one of her friends about it at work ( who isn't even a mother but loves animals) and her friend wanted to see it. When my mom brought it in to work , her friend started crying because the words are so sweet. I didn't get to look through the entire book since I ordered it online but I'm sure glad that I picked it out. I gurantee that your mom will love this book if they are sentimental and love animals!
Rating: Summary: Bradley Trevor Greive Does It Again!! Review: I just knew I had to buy this book, especially since "The Blue Day Book" is one of my favorites. The pictures, along with the short, but very connecting sentences, is a book that any mother, of any age, can relate to and appreciate. This would make a great Mother's Day gift!!! It will surely warm her heart.
Rating: Summary: Tiny , and author particularizes pictures to HIS childhood Review: I was very disappointed. To my surprise, the author has particularized many of the pictures, such that they make no sense to anyone but himself and his mother. For example, here's one caption: "You also taught me that even the worst day seems okay with a big mouthful of milk and cookies. Mom, you'd be amazed how often your calming philosophy of milk and cookies has carried me through the hard times." Now this makes sense to him and his mom, no doubt, and I'm sure she was touched. Here's another "And even though I'm gradually coming to terms with eating broccoli ... and taking that terrible pink cough syrup."Hmmm. Mom and I loved eating broccoli together. How about this one "I'm not sure I'll ever get over your making me kiss your great aunt smack on the mustache!" Hmmmm. Maybe that is a funny memory for him, and his mom. Or how's this..."I'm so sorry...for sulking when you made me go to school or wouldn't let me get a Mickey Mouse tattoo or get my tongue pierced." These particular references to the authors unique experience undermine what I had thought would be the essence of this book, as suggested by the title, "Dear Mom, thank you for everything." An expression of gratitude for the devotion and love that every(any) loving mother had given their daughter or son. I anticipated that the words would be crafted in such a way that they could read as if written from any daughter or any son to any loving mother. But apparently the author was unable to relinquish the opportunity to make a particularly grand expression of gratitude to his mom alone, by including several specific references to their unique experience, which completely undermine and interrupt those moments when he achieves the goal implied by the title of the book and the pictures.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful and beautifully touching book Review: This book brought tears to my eyes the first time I read it. The thoughts are so sweet and touching - and the photos bring a humorous and warm depth to this lovely little book. Not only for Mother's Day, but any day of the year you just want to tell your mom how much she means to you. It will be something she will treasure!

Rating: Summary: Best gift a Mum could have Review: This book brought tears to my eyes! I loved it so much I wanted to buy a copy for myself from my kids! (They are only 5, 3 and 6 weeks, so they won't be buying it anytime soon!) Every Mum should have, or at least read, a copy!
Rating: Summary: Great book for Mothers Day Review: This book is adorable. Each page has some kind of animal picture with a sentence or two at the bottom. The pictures fit the captions so perfectly. The captions are about the Mother-Child relationship and how grateful the children are for everything the Mothers have done for us. Some captions fit my relationship to my Mom more than others, but they are all pretty general. The pictures themselves are worth buying the book for your Mom for Mothers Day!
Rating: Summary: Give me a break Review: This book is filled with silly photographs, many of which are degrading to the dignity of animals, with a line or two on each page about "the greatness of being a mom" from a male author who isn't even a parent??!! Give me a break. I'm returning this.
Rating: Summary: Precious! Review: This book is full of examples of the things we ought to say to our mothers but too often never do. Perfect for both young children and adult children to give their mothers for any occasion or no occasion at all. The photos were perfectly chosen to go with each caption, and it gets its message across without being wordy or overly sappy. Mother's Day is sooner than you think- keep this book in mind.
