Summary: Mental Preparedness
Review: This is a wonderful pamphlet on mental preparation, frame-of-mind, and calm decisionmaking. It is about attitude and how it relates to avoiding conflict if you can, and protecting oneself if you must. It is worth rereading every year.

Summary: Basic foundations for the security-concerned people
Review: This is an easy and pleasent reading, as good as the other books from Col. Cooper that I've read, but more useful to the people concerned with their security and self-defense in a broad sense. I consider the treatment of the alertness and the willingnes to not be victimized the most important contributions of this booklet. You don't need to carry a gun for benefiting from this reading. I strongly suggest this booklet to any responsible person, not for just one sit but for reading it from time to time.

Summary: useless book
Review: This is the worst book that I ever read in my life. Completely pointless. If you do not know these principles presented in this book intuitively then I am surprised you are still alive. All the book amounts to is "hit hard, fast, first, and keep on hitting". Sucker punch, pay attention, stay cool. There is the book in a pinch. The book has a grade 3 mentality and a similar writing style. Waste of money and dunno why they wasted perfectly good paper publishing this drivel.

Summary: Another "Must Have"
Review: Too many reviewers of this book are entirely too worried about length and cost.

Jeff doesn't claim the concepts in this book to be original, nor does length have bearing on quality. The concepts in this book can be critical to survival. If our entire society thought and reacted in this manner, our crime rates would drop dramatically, and the overall society would be more polite and better behaved.

I have purchased and given away at least a dozen copies of "Principles". It has ALWAYS been money well spent. This book bears repeated reading.

Summary: valuable book
Review: Two guys tried to assault me, as I was walking home one night. I was able to escape, unharmed, because I was applying principles I'd recently learned from this book.

Thanks be to God who delivered me, and the means deliverance, which was Mr Cooper's book!
