Rating: Summary: THE TRUE MEANING OF LOVE! Review: Monica and Paul's love for one another is mesmerizing! Their love is Ocean Deep! The storyline is unique in that it involves the survival adventures, love and romance of Monica who is an African-American 22-year-old woman and Paul who is a 62-year-old Causacian man! They become stranded on an island after a plane crash. They struggle with their feelings for one another as well as question themselves as to what their friends will think! Hmmmm! Not to give the storyline away, it makes you question your position on what would you do if........ To quote our dearly departed R&B singer Aaliyah: Age ain't nothin' but a number; throwin' down ain't nothin' but a thang! It makes one question themselves: If love came to you this way, what would you do!!!!??????? Hmmmmmm!!!! This book in a word was: Awesome! In two words: Loved it! In three words: Couldn't get enough! Kaya and Rick, congratulations. The Gods Laughed is beautifully written. It's a Page Turner. Definitely a Must Read! By the way, Kaya and Rick, is there going to be a sequel forthcoming? :0) (Just a little inside jokie-joke) (wink-wink)
Rating: Summary: A thougthful and insightful read! Review: This book is about a 22 year old black woman and a 62 year old white man who are the only survivors of a plane wreck and end up on a deserted island together. They endure a lot but finally find themselves drawn together. The ironic part of the story is what happens to their fantasy relationship when they are rescued. The book was kind of wordy but it was pretty well written and enjoyable. I am partial to happy endings, however, this ending will give the reader food for thought.
Rating: Summary: Monica and Paul's love is ageless. Review: When I first purchased this book I didn't think I would enjoy it because of the May-December relationship but I have to admit I was wrong. I enjoy how well thought out the plot and details were. Paul and Monica's love wasn't instant like it is in some IR (Interracial) romances. They built up it to it on the island after the plane crash that killed all the other passengers but them. Monica had to overcome her wonder and awe of Paul stranded on the island with her. She also had to stop wishing and wanting a younger and much stronger man there with her. But realize what a treasure she had in Paul Logan. Paul insecurity about his age how to stop to allowing him to fall in love with the younger beautiful Monica Sanders. He came to understand Monica love for him was honest and pure not something that happened because of being stranded on an island together. I did enjoy this book because it was different from all the other IR romance books I have read. If I sequel is written I would buy it.
