Summary: My views
Review: A very very good book for people who are in middle of their life and don't know where they are heading. It helped me personally to appreciate who I am myself and helped me to understand that failure is not the END to itself. Gave some big picture of the life.

I was having trouble understaning what state I am in. The classification of the failure modes helped me to organise my thoughts and work towards better planning and execution.

Hope is there even after all the failures. I wish others also would benefit from reading this book.

Thank You,

regards
ramki

Summary: Sometimes Failure is Success
Review: After getting fired from a job I hated I decided to pick up this book because I was pretty miserable with my life in general even when I had the job.

One thing I didn't realize was that I really needed to be willing to accept failure. With the job I had I really wanted to quit but I was too afraid of failing. The whole thought of "crashing and burning" was unbearable to me.

Now instead of just looking for another job, which is not my calling, I am now pursuing my real dream and that is to start and run my own technology business. The whole thought of failing before was just too scary and frightening to me but thanks to Randy Gilbert I don't really have the fear anymore and I now have the true courage to go forward with my dreams and deal with whatever setbacks I may have to deal with.

Like Randy Gilbert said, "You have only one life - make it a good one".

Summary: A must read
Review: This book is a must read for anybody who is chasing a tough goal. I have often find that fear of failure holds me back. This is what the book is about, failure managment. After reading this book i changed my attitude to failure . Thomas Edison took more than 10,000 experiments to invent the lightbulb. At something like the 5000th experiment a journalist asked him "so how does it feel to have failed 5000 times Mr Edison". Edison replied "Young man there is something that you dont understand about life. I didnt fail 5000 times i just found 5000 ways that didnt work" This is the attitude that the author is conveying and he does it well. His choice of quotes are also good. Many coming from Napoleon Hill who is probably the most famous author on success ever. I would recomend u read this book if you want to become proactive minded.

Summary: Bound to Succeed!
Review: Randy Gilbert's "Success Bound" gets down to the nitty-gritty on the psychology of succeeding in a very simple and direct manner. You'll not only enjoy reading the book, you'll enjoy USING it!

Summary: It's Awsome
Review: Before I started to read Success Bound, I had read, the Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles. And Success Bound only added more truths, to the knowledge that was presented. I helped me so much. I was encouraged, enlighten, and motivated to do what I had to in oder to succeed. I set out to read other books
that contained some of the same contents. It has been the most
inspirational tool that I needed. I really wished that I has a person like Randy Gilbert as a personal friend. I know that I would learn much, and that I would be successful in all that I do. My father is the main source of help. But it wouldn't hurt for me to Randy. May God continue to bless you Randy as you reach out to help those who need you.

Summary: Re-hashing of every self-help book written
Review: I read all the reviews posted previously, as I feel they're usually a good indicator of a book's value. Not this time. After reading this book, at least as far as I could go, I can say it is nothing but a re-hashing of every self-help book written. There is nothing new or thought-provoking to be found here. It's not even well written or well organized. The only original thought is the author's angle that it's failure or the fear thereof, which inhibits us. Therefore you should welcome it and not be afraid of it. Beyond that, there are no stories of how people used these concepts to become successful, or how the author himself actually employed these ideas.

I do not want to suggest saying Mr.Gilbert isn't sincere and heartfelt in his work, he seems genuine in his beliefs. But after looking over his websites I think its his goal to become a self-help guru. He's chosen the moniker of "Dr. Proactive" as though he has years of helping people. Between this book and his website, it just seems like self-promotion.

I'm sorry Mr. Gilbert, but there's no substance here in this book. Nothing anyone hasn't read many times before. Maybe I'm too cynical, but having read enough books like this, and having wasted enough time and money on these books, I've come to realize one thing - 90% of these type of books are nothing more than rah-rah, go-get-'em speeches covering 200 pages. Most of them featuring nothing that would really make a big difference in someone's life. This deluge of self-help and personal-coaching books are a waste of your time and money.

I recommend five books in this vein as being all you need,
- How to Win Friends and Influence People, by Dale Carnegie
- Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill
- Life Matters, by Phil McGraw
- Self Matters, by Phil McGraw and
- How Could You Do That?, by Laura Schlessinger
The first two are tried and true classics of self help, that most all the rah-rah books being published today are based on, and that last three are books that will have you take a good hard look at yourself and why you do the things you do or don't do what you should. Without that foundation, no one can change much, that is where personal change and growth must start.

Sorry to be so rough on you Randy, but that's how I see it.
