A lifelong skeptic, I approached these books with trepidation, expecting to find little more than the usual "Age of Aquarius"-type drivel. However, the information and supplemental exercises contained in the book truly caused me to change and greatly improve my outlook, circumstances, opportunities, and relations with others. Whether you "believe" in Ms. Roman's premise or not, this book (along with the others in the series) offers real, truth-and-compassion-oriented advice which obviously comes from *someone* really smart, regardless of the dimension in which one believes he or she lives.

Review: A gentle but powerful guide to becoming more positive. This is not a book that you will read and forget about, it will keep you company for years. I have recommended this book to friends and family, who, in turn have recommended it to others. Now I am recommending it to you!! Once you have read this, try the rest.

Summary: Dramatic Changes
Review: All of the other reviews have expressed my thoughts on the quality of this book and it's message. I want to add one thing.. the messages in this book literally saved my life. Since my teenage years, I was depressed and even suicidal on a few occasions. As an adult, I was medicated for my depression. However, there are 2 things that can create a depression: a chemical imbalance or overpowering self-pity. As I learned from reading this book, all the events in my life happened because they needed to and I have control over them. Luckily I didn't truly have a chemical imbalance. The book helped me to reevaluate my life and I pulled out of the "self-pity mode." I have been happy for the past 5 years and off medication. This book has spurred me to make self-discovery a favorite activity. All the reading I have done on New Age and self-help principles have resonated the same messages that Orin does in Living with Joy.

Review: I first "read" this little gem of a book in 1991, when it,and one of the other books in the series Spiritual Growth seemed to "jump out" at me from a New Age bookshop in Dublin,Ireland. I'm glad to see that almost a decade later it is still being enjoyed globally... It is truly a timeless classic...and a book that I turn to time and again for its simplicity , clarity and wisdom on practical spiritual living. Highly reccommeded for those who are beginning to look at life from a more spiritual perspective.....It will change you for the better in some way...One again, long overdue thanks to Orin and Sanaya
