Summary: A Fortune Cookie
Review: The book lacks substance. Every time I look up a word, it's like reading off a fortune from a fortune cookie. If you have really complex dreams, you have to think of ONE word to describe it in order to look up some type of meaning. Half the time, the word doesn't even describe the situation I was looking for. The rest of the time, I can't even FIND the word I'm looking for! If you're really serious about dream interpretation, I don't recommend this book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Enlightning, Informative, and Accurate
Review: This book has added so much insight to my life. It has helped to interpret happy, troubling and odd dreams that have guided me through lifes many paths. It offers you hope, inspiration, and warnings, if you choose to beleive. You must read the beginning to understand how to interpret a dream. That is the key. I keep it by my bed. I bought my book in 1985 and it has been my sole source for interpretations. I trust it!

Summary: Definitely a Dictionary
Review: This book has only a few pages of how to interrpret your dreams, writing a journal, etc. The rest are words from A to Z.
People, places, things in dreams I never even thought of. This book is a great tool in deciphering dreams.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Lots of words but not enough meanings
Review: This book is set up like a dictionary. However, most of the interpretions are rather vague, or way out in left field, having little to do with what was in my dreams. As a random example:

Buzzer: You can look forward to a happily stepped-up socail life if you heard the sound of a buzzer in your dream.

There are other dream interprations books I have found to be much more accurate and useful.

Summary: Crock of sh*t .... ZERO stars!!!
Review: This book is such bull. They have taken certain symbols and labeled them as if everyones dreams mean the same thing. My biggest peeve about this book, would be that it labels the appearance of wolves as a bad thing. Excuse me, but not all people fear wolves and see them as signs of 'the devil' or some crap like that. They fail to take into account the fact that different symbols may mean different things for different people. Instead of this book, I recommend "The Complete Dreambook" by Gillian Holloway, Ph.D.
Much better quality and diversity.

Summary: Lots of words but not enough meanings
Review: This dictionary may contain 3,000 "magical mirrors" but I think that the authors put far too much emphasis on the dream symbols' precognitive meanings (omens for the future) rather than on their symbolic meanings, which are much more common. Many times, according to this dream dictionary, the "omens" that my dreams were supposedly predicting were very unbelievable and even ridiculous. I found this aspect of the book highly frustrating and unhelpful in interpreting my dreams. On a more positive note, I had to give the book two stars for the few instances where the interpretations did have symbolic meaning (such as the interpretations for colors), or where the symbolic meaning was included along with the "omen". I have not yet found a good published dream dictionary, but dreamdoctor.com and yahoo.com both have good dictionaries, although neither one has more than a hundred or so dream symbols.

Summary: Very interesting book
Review: This is a great book. I don't take things like this that seriously but I think this is very interesting for entertainment purposes. It is a good "thumb through" book.
