Summary: There's a reason it's been around unedited for 26 years
Review: Having closely examined literally dozens of dream books from the name-du-jour to Carl Jung, since I first acquired a dog-eared copy The Dreamer's Dictionary 19 years ago, I must conclude that people dream differently. But for me, whether a symbol is dreamed, or wanders across the floor at some revealing moment, I trust the Dreamer's Dictionary to illuminate the meaning. In my life quest I have established many useful methods -- and one of those is to use my manually scanned & OCR'd copy of T.D.D. to do quick searches. It's very revealing. I can say this, about my supposition on dreamers: even when I examine the dreams of OTHERS I have found this book accurate and helpful about 85% of the time -- and that it is a big improvement over the others I have tried.

Summary: This book is fascinating & wonderful!
Review: I found this book to really predict my life. At first it scared me but now I find it fascinating.

Summary: 100% correct each time
Review: I have a copy of this book & I find this book is very accurate. A friend of mine asked me a question about one of her dreams and when I looked it up it told me what would happen to my friend and it was 100% correct.

I'm not a superstitious person but I believe deeply in this book, because what it says is going to happen, always does.

Summary: Great Book for dream interpretation
Review: I have an old worn copy of this book from it's first printing in the UK. It travels the world with me, and is much used. Pages falling out and falling apart. Book held together by rubber bands.

I recommend this book whole heartedly if you are interested in the meaning of your dreams.

Please make sure you read the introduction a few times to understand how to use the book.

I have been searching for a new copy for awhile, and was quite surprised to see a new printing.

I really recommend this book to anyone interested in knowing the meaning of their dreams.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: I have attempted to analyze my dreams with the help of this book, and have repeatedly found it lacking. More often then not, key elements of my dream simply weren't mentioned in this book (and I don't think it is because my brain is wired differently than the rest of our species). I am hoping to find a better book.

Summary: Excellent Dream Interpretations
Review: I have been a serious student and now an adept practitioner and teacher of dream interpretation for many years. Any serious student knows we must ultimately rely on our own inner knowledge for the best interpretations. However, guide books can be helpful. I have read many books on this subject, but this one has proved to contain the most accurate interpretations for me. I would highly recommend it.

Summary: Totally different from other dream books
Review: I have had this book a long time. It was ok until I got a copy of the Dreamers Dictionary by Barbara Condron. The interpretation of symbols from one book to another is totally different! I started to write my dreams down and the Condron book seemed to make more sense. I ended up throwing my copy of this book away. It was of no use to me.

Summary: Not perfect, but better than some others I've read...
Review: I have several books on dream interpretation, and none I've found yet seems to be the perfect one for me. I do agree with another reviewer that different people dream differently, and we might need different interpretations of our dreams. This book works for me some of the time, but not all.

The individual entries are fairly long and complete, however I wish there were more entries. At 382 pages, you'd think a lot would be covered (and it is), but I do know when I go looking for an item, about a third of the time it's not there. All in all an ok book, and one which suits my needs some of the time, but not the be all and end all of dream dictionaries, at least not for me.

Summary: My use of this book is my number 1 hobby.
Review: I have used the book since 1983. I would write down my dreams at night and confer with this dictionary for an interpretation the next morning. Then on occasion I'd follow up with journal entries of an everyday event that correlated with the book's interpretation. I've discovered correlations that have been amazingly consistent. However, sometimes the interpretation is fuzzy. As a result, I have wondered if anyone is chatting or conferencing about this book's interpretations over the Internet
