In todays competitive environment we have found that teamwork is something we all want, yet so difficult to obtain. It starts with knowing what it is that you "bring to the table". With Showing Your True Colors you are able to identify, understand and foster people to come together to share common goals. Whats so great about the book is that there is no "right or wrong", there is no "pinpointing" it is just who we are and we are all so valuable. I mostly enjoyed the Color Combinations which helps understand that not because we share our Primary Colors that means we are alike. As a True Colors Licensed Trainer this is "the Color Book".
Looking forward to Mary's upcoming publication.

Review: As an educator with 30 years experience in the classroom and in coaching, I wish I could have read Mary Miscisin's book 30 years ago! I would have been a much better teacher and coach because I would have had a much better understanding of my students and athletes and how to more effectively communicate with them based on their colors. I couldn't put the book down because I kept meeting past students as well as people I know now represented in Miscisin's creative and stimulating examples. "Showing Our True Colors" was so challenging and packed with information, yet so simple to understand and implement. Every parent, teacher, and coach ought to read the book. It is a must for couples and anyone who wants to communicate more effectively. Where was this book when I needed it? Oh, yeah, I still do need it today. Thanks Mary!

Easy to understand and reads very quickly! She explains the different personalities using the color coding system of Blue, Green, Gold, Orange, with each color representing a different dominent personality. Easy to understand and to incorporate into everyday life. The example stories she gives in the book are fun to read and put it in the most simple form for relating to each personality. I found myself viewing people differently, in a more positive way, and figuring out just which color they would fall under. I work in a customer service business, and found the information in the book, helped me understand my co-workers as well as my customers much better!! Wonderful and motivational. Great reading for everyone especially if you are in contact with the general public or work in a large office. Highly recommend for everyone!!

This book was a fantastic refresher! It really helps you to understand your own personality and how you relate to others. Especially useful are the sections on the colors under stress. It isn't really a substitute for the workshops because there is no facilitator to answer your questions and to help you with understanding all the colors of your personality but it does go into depth about the foundations of the True Colors theory. I thought it was great! I have ordered another to give as a gift to introduce a co-worker to True Colors. I think it can help her with all her interactions.

Review: If you haven't had the opportunity to actually see Mary speak, you have missed out on one of the most wonderful experiences in the world. She is bright, funny, engaging, and insightful...just like her book! This is one of those books that give you a laugh and insight on every page, and usually laughter at yourself when she reveals just how our True Colors affect our behavior. I've had to buy other copies for people at my work, because they don't want to give back my copy! All I have to say is GOOD WORK MARY!

It is a great tool to "turn irritation into appreciation" "Showing Our True Colors" is an exceptional book with explanations and examples of the four temperament styles. It is broken down into understanding your own color (temperament) and then explains how each of the four colors communicate. You are given concrete examples of how to understand and communicate with each of the four temperaments. You are also given examples of the characteristics of a temperament in stress (Characteristics of a faded blue, etc) and how to help "brighten" them. The cartoon characters are funny and to the point. They are great examples of the situation being discussed. It has been my experience that when I show someone this book they want to know how to get their own copy (there is no way they can get mine from me!!) Congratulations to Mary Miscisin for putting together this wonderful communication tool.
