Summary: absolutely fabulous: like astrology via sex and the city
Review: this book is sort of an un-astrology, or rather an ur-astrology book. if you are looking for the same old same old esoteric gobbledy gook, it may not be for you. this is a smart, urbane and sexy read, in fast, provocative language and it is so eerily accurate that i actually choked on my coffee at certain points. to boot, it is at times laugh aloud funny. not to mention that some of the astrological information, particularly as it relates to known individuals of a certain sign, is startling. though i really like linda goodman, too, i find her books a bit too woo-woo and out there, not to mention quite dated at this point but i disagree with the two negative reviews below. in a way, i feel that starsky and cox pick up the baton from goodman and really run with it! i find myself re-reading bits of this book a) because the information is too spot on to believe sometimes and b) because the writing is so expertly crafted I actually marvel at the style and the seamless manner in which the writers are able to blend high concepts with down and dirty ones. honestly, it's the most fun book i've bought in eons. i take it out at dinner parties and people go crazy and completely red in the face. about five of my friends have bought it after seeing my copy. it's a total revelation on one hand and a really guilty pleasure on the other

Summary: Finally, somebody understands!
Review: This book was recommended to me by several people and I was eager to read it. From the first page, the first sentence actually, I was hooked. So many astrology books just spit out the same-old stuff...and in the same-old way. Sextrology's authors are real writers, which is refreshing, and they've obviously given the subjects of sex and sexuality some real thought. My own chapter (Virgo Woman) completely flipped me out with its accuracy. In fact, it answered some big questions I've had about myself. Amazing. This book is an absolute must!

Review: this is by far the best and most insightfully modern interpretation of star signs and how they apply to both ourselves and our partners. i am blown away by the authors' ability to deliver such helpful and fascinating information in such a readable way. i cant wait for their next book. keep em coming!!!!

Review: This is obviously two smart writers who got together with the idea to do something in "astrology" and that's as far as it goes. The writing is good - they're good writers - but it's ALL a re-hash of ALL that has been said before, with some S&M / gay /trendy fetishy additions thrown in. Clever writing - but no salami. I was really disappointed - it looked SO promising! I felt like I'd been snookered - a case of the Emperor's Clothes - and had wasted my money. It's a bit disrespectful of the astrological community actually - poking their nose at astrology while making off with money from their book. I wouldn't be surprised if they come up with another natty idea next! NOT FOR ANYONE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED IN ASTROLOGY. BUT IF YOU WANT A TRENDY COCKTAIL CHIT-CHAT BOOK - THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU.

Review: This is the best astrology book I've ever read. In other books the sign descriptions are so vague they could apply to anyone, but these are so accurate you'll think the authors have been secretly reading your diary. The authors thoroughly cover all aspects of the signs--physical, emotional, sexual, and intellectual--so you really get a complete picture. It's also a pleasure to read because the writing is so intelligent, cool and funny. I'm amazed at how much I learned about myself and all the people in my life. I've shown it to a few astrology skeptics and even they had to admit it was right on target. So don't waste your money on another astrology book--just buy this one!
