Summary: hilarious
Review: a friend brought a copy of this book to a dinner party the other night and it had the bunch of us in stitches. i'm not a big believer in astrology as a rule but i have to say some of what the authors said about my sign made me wonder if there were hidden cameras in my bedroom. it's an incredibly entertaining read, especially when done so aloud, in a company of (close!) cronies.

Summary: Spot On
Review: After reading parts of the book and these reviews, I have to agree with the reviewers to give it high marks. It can be so spot on as to how you approach sex and mating that you will "choke on your coffee"

What difference does this make? In a world where sex, mating, relationships, sexuality can move so fast, this book allows you to reflect on your behavior, motivations, good habits, bad habits, etc. Learning more about yourself (while not blindly agreeing with everything that is written) can only be a good thing.

I would definitely recommend going down to a book store and reading excerpts and decide for yourself.

Summary: 500 pages about sexual compatibility
Review: Even if I don't always like the language in which this hefty book is written, its content is almost encyclopedic. The authors make a difference between straight and gay couplings and male and female principles (yes, the mind of a woman Taurus is different from a male Taurus). This book is full of keywords, body rulerships and discusses sex and sexuality quite in-depth. Definitely a reference in understanding each other's sexual character!

Summary: Normally don't waste time on sun signs, except this time!
Review: Excellent, in-depth analysis of the differences between males and females in the same sign - perhaps same-sign couples are not as compatible as is commonly thought. The authors also devote three pages to gays in each sign, instead of the paragraph or two seen elsewhere, which is refreshing. The authors' description of the impact parenting has on the different sexes in each sign is also uncannily accurate, but there was almost no mention of how subjects in each sign fare as parents themselves. It made me wonder if any of the authors' clients are actually parents.

What didn't I like? The emphasis on weaknesses and character flaws. Parenting styles are described as dysfunctional for almost every sign, with the possible exception of female Libras, if I remember correctly. Some signs are portrayed far more positively than others - Sagittarius as kings and queens, Capricorn as late bloomers and losers. This may in fact be accurate - I'm not questioning the underlying research - but it's a little irritating if you happen to be a Capricorn.

Nonetheless, this book is totally worth the rather long read. If you didn't realize how much information can be gleaned from the sun sign alone in the absence of any other chart data, this book is almost sure to surprise and impress you.

Summary: More like six stars actually.
Review: Finally someone has dragged astrology into the current millenium. I couldn't speak more highly of this book. Starsky and Cox take us for a stimulating walk down a well trodden path. Those who compare them to other authors in the same field miss the point entirely.

Summary: Zero stars really
Review: I agree that this book is over rated. I read the editorial review and thought I would be getting a book which would speak to the spiritual and sexual aspects of each astrological sign. However it really seems to tie into "old think" regarding the roles of men and women and portrays people in a terms of negative attributes. Also, I am not close minded regarding Sexuality and Slang etc., but the writing in this book regarding sexuality uses slang terms in a way which only further weakens any positive points the writers may have been trying to convey.

Summary: chillingly accurate
Review: I have to admit I am not generally a huge fan of astrology, but this book [b'day present from a friend] is completely amazing. Chillingly accurate & hugely enjoyable, it somehow manages to be incredibly readable as well as highly intelligent. Great to read quietly to yourself but also fantastic to in a crowd. Friends & I had one of the funniest, sexiest & most enjoyable evenings in recent memory, reading it out loud to each other. I am a total convert,- It's fabulous !

Review: I LOVED SEXTROLOGY AND AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT IT.IT GIVES A FRESH AND FUNNY SLANT TO FAMILIAR TERRITORY .THIS IS NO TIRED RETREAD.EXHAUSTIVELY RESEARCHED AND PACKED WITH DETAIL. THE IRREVERENT SPIRIT MAY NOT BE FOR EVERYONE BUT I THINK IT IS A VAST IMPROVEMENT OVER THE TONE OF MOST ASTROLOGY BOOKS.THANKS STARSKY AND COX.

Summary: I've been converted!
Review: I never was one for astrology, but this book is so smart and so accurate, I've been completely turned around. It's freaky how dead-on the descriptions of each sign are. Plus the writing is so sharp and funny (and VERY sexy), it's absolutely impossible to put down. I stayed up reading (mostly about my exes) till 2 last night. My friends keep begging me to lend them my copy, but they'll have to get their own; I just can't let go. Stella Starsky and Quinn Cox are my new idols! Buy this book for yourself and your friends. You'll thank me.

Summary: Grossly over rated
Review: I purchased this book thinking it would provide me with a different appraoch to astrology , only to find it seem to do nothing but outline the possible flaws in each sun sign, I think this book is very one sided and biased and do not recommend it to anyone, buy Linda Goodmans books theyre much better and more value for money , this book is not worth buying.
