Summary: Tune in and get well
Review: Finally a brave and spirited author courageously breaks from the politically correct voices of the medical establishment to reveal simple and direct truths about disease and healing! How can we empower ourselves and make better choices? The answers are contained in the latest volume of work by a brilliant, creative, and compassionate psychiatrist. Dr. Orloff skillfully weaves in many case studies and some examples from her own life to illustrate the five steps to wellness: 1. Notice your beliefs, 2. Be in your body, 3. Sense your body's subtle energy, 4. Ask for inner guidance, 5. Listen to your dreams. There are many practical suggestions including how to use your inner guidance to pick health care professionals who are right for you. Dr. Orloff wants you to be a partner in your health care and receive the best possible care. In Dr. Dean Ornish's forward to the book he says, "Love enables us to contact our deepest intuitions". I say, open your mind and your heart and enjoy the journey through these pages!

Summary: I highly recommend this book
Review: Judith Orloff is a seminal figure who is bridging the gap between the wonders of Western medicine and the knowing that humanity had more access to when we were less mechanized and industrialized. In a world that has become so plasticized as to lose touch with the inner realm, her contribution has been consequential. That she is a well-credentialed and highly regarded psychiatrist (which requires one to be an MD), who uses all the tools that modern science has gifted us with, who also has a laboratory-tested gift for intuitive knowing, makes her uniquely worth listening to. The value she brings isn't dependent on her proving her case about her inner knowing, but comes from her telling you what can be known because she knows it -- you are getting a report from the front lines of inner space. Her rapid rise to great popularity as a speaker and workshop leader has been almost unprecedented, attesting to the chord she strikes with so many people who have felt safe, thanks to her, to come out of the closet with experiences that are not validated in our objectified modern worldview. Rather than being skeptical, it would behoove those who have relied only on the tools of science and technology to open themselves to the wisdom of this book.

Summary: Marvelous!
Review: "Intuitive Healing" an innovative and inspiring book by the marvelous Dr. Orloff. Don't miss it! And don't miss her riveting memoir, "Second Sight."

Summary: Good but not as good
Review: This is a thoughtful "sequel" to Dr. Orloff's first book, Second Sight, but I didn't feel the writing flowed as well. The book was more of a formula, alternative self-help book than a personally written book such as Second Sight was. I have a hard time imagining those who are not familiar with Dr. Orloff's other book enjoying this book at all. I would recommend that anyone interested in this subject read her first book first.

Summary: For the heart and head
Review: Dr Orloff provides a rare combination of wisdom and common sense in her approach to helping us help ourselves. It book is easy to read and understand. I plan to use her points to improve my relationship with my wife and my mother. Another great read is The Romantic's Guide. That book was a gift that has helped me mend the wounds in my marriage.

Summary: The journey begins here but ends elsewhere
Review: It is very refreshing to read such a book from a practitioner of medicine. Too often, doctors forget that while the body may have an ailment, the spirit must be heeled for the body to be heeled. While this subject appears to be "new" to many individuals, this subject is not new. Dianetics is truly the handbook for the mind and was first published in 1958. While Dr. Orloff addresses the health of the spirit, she doesn't address the source of the demons that inhabit so many people. I encourage those reading this posting to read Dr. Orloff's book then buy a copy of Dianetics and finish the journey she starts.

Summary: Insightful Guidance
Review: This is an insightful resource book for those who are either beginners or well on the path to understanding how to use intuition in every area of their lives. Filled with exercises, questions to ponder, tips and case histories of her patients, this book is written in an easy conversational style. Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing has made it okay for us to trust our "inner voice" again. We each have this inner guidance connected to our spirituality within us. Dr. Orloff shows us how to use this "voice" to fully connect with our love ones, understand our doctors and our healing and even how to avoid absorbing other people's negative energy. I have highly recommended this book to my friends!

Summary: Harness this mighty power
Review: After publication of her first book, "Second Sight," I fully expected Dr. Orloff's courage to be rewarded by her getting excommunicated from the (left brain only please) psychiatric profession. But now, she teaches classes in intuitive healing to her peers, many of whom are thirsty to escape the tight little island of drugs and analysis. With "Intuitive Healing," Dr. Orloff has broken even newer ground, bring the expanded world of intuition out of the 'woo woo' and the realms of experts into the daily (and nightly) life of the reader.Dr. Orloff conducts you through the basic life situations of health, death, emotions, relationships and sexuality; demonstrating how one can harness the mighty powers of intuition, remote viewing and dreams to understand, solve, heal and be guided through the questions and problems life constantly provides. Her style is passionate and convincing and the many anecdotes from her patients, friends and family clarify and highlight how this all can work. And fortunately, Dr. Orloff avoids the cold clinician's approach and unselfishly breaks ranks with her profession by sharing the qualities and adventures of her own intuitive life and development.

Summary: A Profound and Loving Book!
Review: Dr. Orloff has written an extraordinary book. Reading it has proven to be a profoundly inspiring and transformative experience for me. She has convinced me that I must listen to my heart more often and let love, not fear, motivate my thoughts and actions. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in getting closer to becoming the best person they can be.

Summary: The power of intuition to heal can change your life
Review: I've written my new book, Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing as a sequel to my first book, Second Sight. It is a tribute to the power of intuition to heal. It is divided into three parts: the body, emotions, and sexuality. To be whole I passionately believe that intuition can give us the courage and forsight to make our lives joyous, healthy, and free. My hope is that this book will help you trust your intuition- whether you want to awaken your sexuality, become an emotional warrior or heal your body, intuition can and will show the way. As a psychiatrist and intuitive I know the passionate, in-the-moment awareness intuition can bring. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I loved writing it. Many blessings to you all.
