Summary: Invaluable book for healing and living intuitively
Review: In Dr. Orloff's new book you will find more than theories, more than an intellectual recitation of an author's ideas, and more than magical formulas promising the world. You will find a warm, compassionate, humorous, and wise friend offering insightful, personal guidance and support for living life intuitively. The book title could easily be expanded to "Dr. Orloff's Guide to Intuitive LIVING." The issues she addresses relate directly to life situations we all share. I have also found it helpful to refer back to specific chapters and exercises as new issues arise.Through reading this book and completing the exercises your intuitive voice can grow stronger. Invaluable support for ACTING on this intuitive voice is included. "Dr. Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing", which I now consider to be one of my most valuable reference books, is in my library right next to my other essential reference books by Webster, Roget, and Northrup. It is a book that will speak to all generations. In fact, I recently lent my copy to my mom and she found it so helpful I bought her a copy for Mother's Day!

Summary: Useful Information
Review: Judith Orloff has pulled off a bit of a hat trick. She has written a book that is at once sensible and readable about subjects that are all too often treated in a way that is either hype and nonsense or so dry and medical that you get bored. At one level, like her first book, this is her own story, which, because of her candor, holds a kind of voyeuristic fascination that moves you along. But beneath the narrative lies some very good advice about how to stay healthy and how make your intuition and your sexuality functional. She never tells you anything she hasn't tried herself, and she has a well-trained medical mind so her information was not just pulled off of some web site.

Summary: Insightful, inspirational, instructional, life-enhancing.
Review: In Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide To Intuitive Healing: Five Steps To Physical, Emotional, And Sexual Wellness, Dr. Judith Orloff (Board-certified psychiatrist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA) integrates intuition and classical forms of Western medicine. She explains that we are keepers of innate intuitive intelligence so powerful that it can prevent illness, relieve anxiety and depression, enhance sexuality, help us choose the appropriate doctor, and even accelerate the healing process. Dr. Orloff describes how to use these intuitive gifts everyday to clarify spiritual beliefs, choose relationships, find a fulfilling career, learn how to use remote viewing to "read" people, and to understand and effective use dreams. Dr. Orloff also maintains that sex is not simply a physical act, but it is an intuitive path as well. Through focusing on both the physical and the energetic aspects of self we can sharpen intuitions through receptivity to the erotic forces of life and nature, awakening to full-bodies, heart-based human sexuality. Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide To Intuitive Healing is highly rewarding, insightful, inspirational, instructional, thought-provoking, quality of life-enhancing reading.

Summary: Intuitive Healing
Review: I am a physician who practices Complementary Medicine and have many patients who are very intuitive, some very comfortable, some very uncomfortable, but unable to deny it and wanting help to develop and understand their intuition, integrating it into themselves, no longer hiding or denying that part of themselves.

It was wonderful to find a book both coming from a place of love and well-grounded that I could whole-heartedly recommend to patients, who ultimately are the healers of themselves. We are only guides who can offer some direction from our experience and learning. The time has come for us to acknowledge our inter-dependance in this "dance of life."

Were we from another culture we would not feel our intuition so alien, but embrace it as just another tool to healing and wholeness, which Judith helps people see so beautifully.

Thank you for your gift!

Summary: Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing
Review: It's a pleasure to read such a well-written book from a "woman of science" that addresses so much that is spiritual. When Dr. Orloff spoke at The Center for Conscious Living in Moorestown, NJ, it was a wonderful opportunity to hear someone who combines the best of traditional medicine with the innate abilities we all possess. This book takes a step-by-step approach to teach how we all can be healers. Thank you, Dr. Orloff!

Summary: BEST OF THE SEASON
Review: As the producer and host of Book Tours for Wisdom Television, I read and review hundreds of books a year in the personal growth field. Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing is my "pick" for the season. Wonderful, helpful and usable advice on healing our bodies, our emotions and our sexuality. To make it even more valuable, it reads like a novel - with personal stories of Judith's own life and those of her clients. Could not put it down. I am recommending this book to all of my friends.

Summary: Deeper healing
Review: Dr. Judith Orloff offers a courageous new paradigm in medicine which makes room for the intuition's natural pathways to healing. In this age of sophisticated medical machines and sterile diagnostic laboratories "Intuitive Healing" can teach caregivers how to better understand the patient's entire condition and teach patients how to use their own inner wisdom to achieve deeper emotional, spiritual and physical well being. Her five step strategy is an open and compassionate approach that can vastly improve doctor-patient relationships.

Summary: the art of living: stellar
Review: This is a practical book for people who want to take charge of their lives and live more fully, richly, deeply. It's for those who dare to step outside the ordinary in order to grab hold of more of the juice of life. I found it to have meaningful application in all areas of my life. In a field full of dubious characters, Dr. Orloff is simply the genuine article, the real deal. Selfless and stunningly compassionate, she is clearly guided by a deep desire to show us that being psychic, being intuitive doesn't make her special. It's in all of us. We simply need the tools to chisel away the stuff that's in the way of our finding it. And she's masterful at helping us to do that. Her healing arts are the arts of living.

I was especially moved by the intimate and vulnerable way in which Dr. Orloff shares her knowledge, letting us see into her own life and the ways in which these insights have guided and helped her. That's courageous. She does it with humility, with humor, and a grace of language that requires a slow read in order to absorb the written word and all that lingers upon it.

This book is magnificent. I take it to bed so that it's the last thing on my mind (and heart) as I sleep.

Summary: Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide To Intuitve Healing
Review: Book review by Maryel McKinley Ph.D. (c ), C.A.D.C. "A MASTERPEICE!" Dr. Judith Orloff, author of the bestseller "Second Sight" has recently released her newest masterpiece which is titled "Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide To Intuitive Healing". Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing is a powerful and practical tool that will help the layman as well as healthcare practitioners how to make deep, lasting changes in life for the better.

This superior piece of work walks the reader through 5 easy steps, which will empower you to take charge of your life and relationships, as well as tuning in to ultimate expression of sexuality, and how to detect and prevent physical, mental and emotional maladies. Also, she includes a chapter on how to deal with the cycle of death and dying which is extremely beneficial to those dealing with these inevitable life issues.

When we develop our intuition we can literally change our worldview and perception, as we cut through the veil of self-deception and self-defeat while developing and strengthening our innate psychic abilities. The transformation that occurs, as a result of this book will also help the reader to make decisions more effectively. Decisions that used to baffle you will now come intuitively and smoothly for the highest good of all by taking the clear, insightful steps that are simply laid out in this unprecedented book.

Dr. Orloff is a licensed medical doctor and practicing Psychiatrist in Century City, as well has on the board of psychiatry at UCLA Her practice is so effective and popular, that she has a waiting list of literally over 5,000 just to book an appointment with her for psychiatric therapy.

The five steps that Judith has offered in her book are actually taken from her own life. She uses these 5 steps in everything that she does. They re 1. Notice your beliefs 2. Be in your body 3. Sense your body's subtle energy 4. Ask for guidance 5. Listen to your dreams This book is written with an undertone of love, and comes from the heart, rather than the head. Dr. Judith Orloff's guide to intuitive healing is one of the best books I have ever read, and I believe it will be the catalyst for great changes in the way we incorporate healing in our lives. As a matter of fact, a group of us, who had access to the book before its release, have actually started a study group based on the teachings in this book. I highly recommend others to do so as it has benefited us greatly.

Summary: A Goofy, Silly Book!
Review: As someone who is extremely open to the subject of intuitive healing, this book was more than a disappointment; it was a disaster! A more apt title for Dr. Orloff's "Guide to Intuitive Healing" would be "Imagination, Narcissism and Hedonism. The book is written entirely in the first person in an oddly breathless, emotional, style that leaves one with the irresistible urge to go brush their teeth. Virtually every page is devoted to the author's favorite subject: Herself!

This is a goofy, shallow and audaciously self-indulgent book devoid of any serious insight or inspiration into the matter of intuitive healing. Rather the book is devoted to the author's...self-projections and childlike wishes, intertwined with obsessive and apparently unresolved conflicts concerning her childhood, the death of her father and typical cliche new age mumbo jumbo. Get ready for chakras, auras, and faith healers, out of body vacations, psychic healers ... you name it the book has them all.

The Sexual Healing Chapter is purely gratuitous (to help sell books no doubt) in which we are treated to the typical tantric sex stuff, G spot locator, together with Dr. Orloff's ever present personal and strangely inappropriate intimate experiences and ramblings.

Some of the Doctor's more unique ideals include the notion that all body excretions are sacred, including feces, and urine; that women should worship their menstrual blood and personal hygiene such as bathing, use of deodorants and mouth wash are phobic and unnatural.

Dr. Orloff looks good on the dust jacket and presents herself well in television interviews. She comes off as a deeply caring, compassionate, professional woman of the new millennium. I predict her book will be a great hit with the new age crowd, physic healers, tarot readers, Wicca high priests, PBS, third encounter survivors and all unmarried, childless women who live with thirty cats.
