Summary: Certain to be a classic
Review: The Sense of Being Stared At is certain to become a classic. Like most classics, the book can be opened randomly to any page and before the reader will be something meaningful to read again and again. The book will appeal to professionals, students, hobbyists, or anyone interested in psychology, sociology, parapsychology, biology, or consciousness in general. Many parents, I suspect, will be buying it for their offspring, igniting or fueling their interest in various areas of science. The author, Ruper Sheldrake, in his usual fashion, explains complicated concepts in a manner that the public can comprehend. His innovative book is beyond interesting - it is fascinating, enlightening, and a joy to read. And between us - it is worth much much more than the cover price. I am recommending it to all my family, friends, and colleagues, and giving it to students as a must read.
