Rating: Summary: The Ultimate Gift Review: In clear, simple language the storyteller leads the reader through a process of discovery in a quest for life's great gifts. This book is heart stuff and head food; it beseeches the reader to read it fully and then again "as needed", which will probably be often."The Ultimate Gift" is designed for the motivated and unmotivated, for the believer and non-believer, for the cinic and the optimist, for the lost and for the found, for those who "don't need this kind of thing" and for those who know they do. Rating: Summary: Give yourself a gift, read "The Ultimate Gift '' Review: It's all good, but I kept hoping for a surprise. I never got one. Just one man's obviously fictional road to redemption. Life just does not tie up loose ends for real people this easily.
Rating: Summary: Trite and True Review: It's all good, but I kept hoping for a surprise. I never got one. Just one man's obviously fictional road to redemption. Life just does not tie up loose ends for real people this easily.
Rating: Summary: Great read Review: Jim Stovall has written a wonderful book with rapidly developed, believable characters. The 80 year old lawyer, the Uncle attempting to save his nephew, and a Nephew that really seems to fit so many spoiled, bratty teenager twenty-somethings. A great read on how helping others to learn about oneself, is the ultimate gift.
Rating: Summary: What everyone should read Review: Jim Stovall really hits the nail on the head with a 12 step program to becoming a better person. With chapters based on true humanity, this book will become a classic. Executive Books finds another Daimond in the rough with Jim Stovall's writing. Definately a feel good book that helps you do a little soul searching to make you a compationate, understanding person. Kudos to Mr. Stovall! I can not wait to read his next book, to read what other incites he has on humanity.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: Just read it this morning. Only takes 2 hours for a slow reader as myself. Absolutely wonderful reading. Everyone will get some extremely exciting useful information from this book. Also some tears will be shed.
Rating: Summary: Finally, an understanding of what a real legacy should be Review: Mr. Stovall skips the trite correlations of money equals happiness and reminds his readers that money is no more than a tool. We need to go deeper than our net worth to find a full life. He does it with a non-cluttered writing style that is easy to read and heartening to those who will spend a few hours improving their life perspective.
Rating: Summary: I am ordering 50 copies Review: My mother gave each of her five sons a copy of this book. I read it in one hour and a half. I started at 9pm one night and hated to put it down to go to bed. I picked it up the first thing the next morning. I pastor a church and am ordering 50 copies to sell in our church bookstore. Regardless of your religion (or even if you have no religion), this book will help you have a new view on life. I publish a daily e-mail and this is the only book recommendation that I have given. I recommended The Ultimate Gift to 140,000 readers of MountainWings. The only reason that I gave it five stars is that they don't have a ten star rating.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Book HIGHLY RECOMMEND Review: The writings of Jim Stovall touched me. I recommend this book to everyone.
Rating: Summary: The Ultimate Gift Review: This book is interesting. I first started reading this book for SSR (sustained silent reading) in my English class. At first the book seemed kinda slow but that was just the introduction of the book, but the introduction is long. This book teaches you about stuff that you should hold on to, like money, relationships, family. I would suggest this book to 8th or 9th Grader. This book is about 140 pages long, for the Intermediate reader.
