I found the part where he meets the ghost on the beach on Long Island quite compelling. Jeffrey Wands, even though a psychic/medium doesn't have a lot of experience with ghosts and it's interesting to hear his take on what ghosts really are and where they exist and where they're going. If you're into the paranormal, read this book. It's worth it.

Review: I started reading this book, not really sure of what to expect, and before I knew it I was hooked. Jeffrey Wands brings you into his world and one step further. The process he went through to develop and perfect his relationship with the spirit world and his own pyschic side is a story in itself. The retelling of some truly heart-wrenching experiences may have left a lesser person too conflicted to continue and this psychic's journey will leave you awestruck. If you have ever wanted to explore your own psychic abilities, if you've ever questioned the afterlife this is the book for you. Written in such a down-to-earth fashion, this book is a quick and easy read for anyone. Having been given the opportunity to meet Jeffrey Wands, I can assure anyone with any doubts - he's the real deal!

Summary: This guy is the real deal...
Review: This book is fantastic, as the other reviews have stated. I read it in one night. As a person who has been struggling with their own psychic gifts all their life, I found his take on things refreshingly human, with all the information and none of the complicated scientific studies. He is wonderfully honest in this book, being the first one to say he is not always perfect, right, or even close in some cases. How impossible for him to claim otherwise when the spirit world is just as metaphorical and complicated as this one!! I have been to consult with him personally as well and he spoke with my father who had been gone for 3 years - trust me when I say he knew things that no one else knew. This guy is the real thing, and a pleasant, down-to-earth person to boot!

Wands' evaluation of other-wordly phenomena reminds us that he is not speaking of a world that should be foreign and unfamiliar to us, but that he is taking us all on a journey back to ourselves. Wands helps us to recover a birthright that we somehow lost along the way, and never knew we were missing. It is pivotal for many of us to at least acknowledge the potential for a better understanding of the psychic world, and Wands makes this learning transition feel both sane and safe. Review: This is an amazing book by a phenomenal psychic who takes the work of John Edward one step further. It's one of those rare books that you don't want to put down and when you're finished, you wish it would go on forever. Jeff Wands helps the reader become comfortable with the psychic world by relaying his knowledge in a very accessible way. You'll come away from this book with a better understanding of how to get a handle on your life. You'll also realize that the isolationist attitude that many of us have, is just not the way it really is. Once you get that, it makes life's burdens lighter, and the concept of developing one's psychic intuition is actually a very practical tool for self-improvement.

I was lucky enough to be in the audience during a taping of The Maury Povich Show and he came up to me and totally blew me away. There was just no way he could have known that my parents had recently passed away within 3 months of each other, and that they were concerned about their cat, whose name begins with an "S". Very recently I had a reading with Jeff, which was absolutely tremendous. The detail he went into and the accuracy of his psychic intuition is just astounding.
