Review: Dianetics is not a complicated book, but I'm not surprised some readers don't really get it at first. The field of the mind and mental health has been stuck in a rut of failure after failure. I have seen more people ruined by faulty mental health practices than helped. If you're looking for the standard "cures" like turning people into prozac zombies, you won't find it in Dianetics.

Once you get into the book and realize that it is a new science all in itself, off the beaten path -- that it's not "like" any other science, then it makes sense.

Remember the story of Alexander Graham Bell -- when he invented the telephone, everyone laughed? Perhaps like the telephone, Dianetics is a discovery ahead of its time.

Alexander Graham Bell said:
"Leave the beaten track occasionally and dive into the woods. Every time you do so you will be certain to find something that you have never seen before."

Review: This book changed my life forever! I found the answers to why people have failed relationships, can't communicate to those they care about and why they can't resolve addictions. It has something for everyone, you won't be sorry you bought and read it. If you know someone who is struggling with life's problems, recommend it!

Review: My husband has been getting Dianetic therapy. He's been doing a lot better since he started! He communicates more with me, and he seems a lot happier these days!

I have been reading this book - and it is very logical. It explains about the mind, and how it works. The therapy is explained in detail, with lots of examples of how it works.

When I finish the book, I'm going to use this technique on my chidren!

Review: I've read this book several times. Each and every time I did,I got more out of it and more powerful tools that I can apply to my WHOLE life.

I found it especially important to look up words I didn't understand while reading it or I'd put it down and not read it.

Understanding exactly how the mind works changed my life and my view of man. I used to wonder why people reacted to the things the that they do and why they did insane things. Reading and understanding Dianetics explained why and gave me the tools to truly help people.I use what's in the Dianetics book every day of my life and I have a good life and so do my children. I don't think I'd be truly happy if I hadn't read this book. It truly changed my life and those around me!

I especially liked the chapter "The Clear" - which explains what the human mind can be, when free of crippling aberrations.

This book is about becoming the best you can be - and not as some dream - but with a technique that can help you achieve your full potential.

Summary: Finally! Understanding the mind
Review: This book really helped me to understand the mind - how it works when it's functioning well, and why it sometimes go awry.

It explains things like irrational fears, why some people get stuck in grief after losing someone, why sometimes people have irrational reactions to things and emotional responses that don't seem to fit the current situation.

This book is a little difficult to read - lots of five dollar words - but with a dictionary, I was able to get through it.

I also took the Dianetics Seminar - offered at the Dianetics Foundation in Boulder, Colorado - and this helped me to understand the material even more. Then I audited (Dianetics counseling is called auditing - from the Latin word "audire" which means to listne) and I was amazed to see how well this technique works!!!

It was easy to apply, once I understood how to do it. The course cost something like $20, and I finished it in a weekend.

I have used the data I learned from this book and the course in other aspects of life. For instance, as a parent, I know how my children's minds work. I know what to do to help them.

It's well worth the reading!

Review: This is the most thorough book on the mind today! When you read this book, you will know that you are reading truth and you will gain so much understanding about yourself and others! This book really gets at what is causing insecurity, self-doubt, jealousy, and other emotions that are holding people back in life. This book gives you the answers to get rid of what is causing pain, upset, and preventing you from achieving your true goals. It is the only self-help book that addresses the actual cause and gives you a way to get rid of it!
