Rating: Summary: Real answers for any owner of a MIND! Review: It's fascinating that the data in this book has one of two effects on the reader. They either apply it and love the gains in personal happiness that result, or they begin to rant and rave and go berserk because they have dedicated their lives to CAUSING problems for other people rather than helping others. Open the cover of THIS book, and you'll begin a journey of self discovery. IF you're brave enough and IF you have the goal of personal improvement
Rating: Summary: This book is awesome: HUGE bang for the buck! Review: I've used the techniques in Dianetics, and I've found them to be priceless. Read the whole thing (not just a couple of chapters), then USE it. The joy you'll have as you wash away the pain of your life has to be experienced to be believed. When I discovered Dianetics, I found out that you really can help people. THAT is the greatest feeling in the world, my friends
Rating: Summary: Heavy. Changes to direction of the course of this culture. Review: I have read this book 4 times. I have not read any other book four times. It is the announcement of the beginning of the end of Psychiatry. But that's not what the book is about --- it's just what is happening
It is truly the basic owners manual on the human mind. L. Ron Hubbard discovered something that is basic to every person on this planet and therefore is applicable to every one on this planet. That application done correctly will increase one's abilities and awareness to places one normally never thinks about.
Rating: Summary: Hubbard cracked the mystery of the human mind like a walnut! Review: I was amazed at the amount of painstaking research Hubbard did in the years before putting this book together! He really did figure it out. I can't put the book down; it's fascinating and very exciting. The naysayers missed something (something big). No wonder its been a bestseller since 1950
Rating: Summary: Fantastic book! Review: This book not only has the answers to everyday problems and
upsets (the techniques given completely restored my happiness
as well as my nearsightedness!) but also indirectly exposes
the scam of modern day psychiatry and psychology. By providing
simple means to totally cure your maladies at the price of a
paperback book, it leaves the above mentioned money grubbing
pseudo- "sciences" in the dust
Rating: Summary: Highly recommended! Review: This book is great! It changed my life!

Rating: Summary: If it's a science, then where's the research data? Review: Isn't it strange that within the 500+ pages of this work of so-called "modern science," there isn't a single piece of scientific data to back it up? If L. Ron Hubbard really did all of that "research" into the human mind, then where are his research notes? Who did he do this with? Exactly when and where did this research take place? Did he use control subjects? What were his failures when he researched the field? If you ask these questions at any so-called "church" of Scientology, you will not get a single straight answer. I know, I tried...and the only answer they could ever give me was "buy the books, take the courses." Give them money, money, money. Critics say this book was written on a typewriter over the course of about three weeks, and an image of the cover of the original science fiction magazine where Dianetics first appeared -- the May 1950 issue of "Astounding Science Fiction" -- is available on the Internet. Just because Scientology calls this a "science" doesn't make it one. Do your own research and read newsgroups like ..., and see for yourself.

Rating: Summary: Finally understood my mind and other's Review: Amazing. With a very SCIENTIFIC approach, I could understand how the mind works, what is going wrong with it and what are the various effects it could have in my life and other's. Finally, it showed me a precise technique to check out by myself the theory contained in the book and improve conditions in my life and other's. I deeply recommed you to buy and read it, and check this out by yourself.

Save your cash. You want Sci-Fi? Go read Ray Bradbury or Isaac Asimov.
Think about it. l-ron-nutbag died in 1986 (Wanted by the feds) and the cooks still think he's writing NEW books?
