Summary: Great Book
Review: This is a great book! Gives you all the reason you should switch your animal to a raw diet and then gives you so much more.

Dr. Lonsdale shows how a corrupt pet food industry is protected by an equally corrupt profession, the vets. His courage in facing these two monsters is to be embraced.

The book is not a 'how to'-- but who needs a how to? Feeding animals a raw diet is not a complicated thing to do but understanding why we do this is very important

Summary: This book is life-altering
Review: When I first heard of the RMB diet, I was dubious. Having read this book and seen the effects the raw meaty bone diet has had on my dog, I am completely convinced. All it takes is logic. Regardless of how well a dog is domesticated, it has the genes of its wild ancestor, the wolf. In the wild, how and what does a wolf eat? It eats raw meat and bone. It doesn't open up a can of dog food containing 80% water and 4% meat. It doesn't kill an animal and then oven-cook it. It doesn't eat only one meal a day. We are slowly killing our pets by doing these things. It is so unnatural. We need to use logic and mimic nature. We need to understand that cats and dogs aren't furry humans. They need to be treated differently. A human doesn't find the prospect of a raw meaty bone appealing. An animal does. It's that simple.
