Summary: The Four Agreements
Review: The Four Agreements was the first book I had ever read by Miguel Ruiz & it has changed me. If I had more money than I knew what to do with, I'd buy truck loads of this book & pass them out on street corners. I feel that every one should have one.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: not as good as the first one
Review: The Four Agreements, although simplistic, were very practical. The Four Agreements Comanion Book was next on the list to read by Ruiz. This book isn't impressive at all. The author just teases the reader with some information, then says "now go write in your journal about these things". I expected more from this author. There is nothing 'Toltec' about this book, nor is there a whole lot of 'wisdom' to go around either.

I would not recommend this book.

Summary: A Good Ponder...
Review: This book is not a fast read in the page turner sense but a very good ponder. If you like to ponder the big questions in life, this book should be on your shelf. The author has an amazing ability to see life so clearly and put it on the page. You'll find yourself saying, "yeah, that's what it is!"

Summary: Disappointing
Review: This book was suggested reading as if " THE GREAT SECRET to PERSONAL FREEDOM" was going to be revealed. It spoke of a self-centered mindset that seemed to suggest that I was to live my life how I wanted and not consider how my actions would affect others around me. A very simplistic and selfish point of view.

Summary: A Trustworthy Companion
Review: This Companion Book can help anyone who read The Four Agreements and realized that to implement the lessons wasn't as simple as it seemed at first glance.

It has been four years since I first read The Four Agreements and then The Companion Book and I still have to remind myself of the lessons. It takes diligence and commitment to lead the Toltec way of life and The Companion Book can help you uncover and overcome the obstacles in your path.

Just like The Four Agreements, I have recommended this book to anyone who likes to discuss favorite reads and have given The Companion Book as a gift. However, I rarely part with my own copy because I refer to it so regularly. The message of this story strikes me in a slightly new way every time I pick it up.

Don't pass up this opportunity to navigate your unique path through this maze of life.

Also recommended: Rat Race Relaxer: Your Potential & The Maze of Life by JoAnna Carey; Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz

Summary: The Four Agreements are brilliant!
Review: This is amazing; the author has summed up how to implement the Golden Rule in four simple action items. They are not hard to remember.

If you are in business, especially sales, this book will help you tremendously. In fact, if I were doing sales training, I would use this book, because the four agreements are probably a good summary of how to conduct a business relationship for mutual profit and for mutual respect. Brilliant!

If we can commit to following them every day, the world would definitely be a better place.

Summary: Grounding Clarity, Simple Truth
Review: This is an excellent book for anyone. Don Miguel shares a heartfelt vision of very fundemental and useful truths in a very practical way that is easy to understand and follow. His work also goes beyond the new-age people, and far beyond the pop-psych books, because he is the real deal. His connection with the indigenous traditions of his people gives his expressions an uncommon sincerity and authenticity. I guarantee it will help you, should you allow it. ...

Summary: GREAT Companion to the 4 Agreements
Review: Well, I read the 4 agreements plus Mastery of Love a few months ago and I have to agree that if everybody realized the condition of the human mind, we would have a better world. But I'm not waiting around for everybody :-)

This book carries through on the original book's promise to liberate the human being by realizing how we can MAKE our own reality instead of just accepting (and suffering through) the one that is given to us by the dream of the world. I'm just beginning to use the workbook and I can tell that it is just what I need to put Don Muguel Ruiz's ideas into practice. The original book plus The Mastery of Love ought to be read first.

I will let you know how I fare in this quest for mastering the dream of MY life. The exercises are serious but fun and joyous if approached with the spirit of wanting to further oneself on the path to personal freedom.
