Rating: Summary: Not Worth It Review: This book is very obsolete. All the information in it is available on the internet. It is not helpful at all for those who have moderate to advanced knowledge on steroids. It is as if the book was thrown together from literature printed off of web sites and research papers.
Rating: Summary: Supplement Advertizement (NOT A BOOK) (A GIMMIK) Review: This "book" was writen as an advertizement for Growth Factor-1 a supplement produced by belle international. Ther is some information about anabolic steroids but is not specific or informative. The only reason this was written was to sell Growth Factor-1. BEWARE
Rating: Summary: A waste of money Review: This book contains very little useful content. A fair bit of space is wasted discussing legal supplements that were in vogue a long time ago. I didn't find any false information in this book but there are quite a few typos and a general lack of coherency. I'm not at all impressed for the price.
Rating: Summary: A Very Good Book Review: The Steroid Bible is a very good book. It provides a balanced presentation of both the side effects and benefits of steroid use. I now understand the many reason why so many athletes are willing to take the risks involved with using anabolic steroids.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Steroid Book Review: I have read all of the steroid books on the market and The Steroid Bible is, by far, my favorite. It provides all the information you need to know and doesn't lean towards either side of the steroid issue. Also, some of the reviewers here should actually read the book before writing their reviews. The Steroid Bible does contain information on HCG, Nolvadex, Clomid, and Sustanon.
Rating: Summary: weak source of information Review: First of all the book is poor quality, comes in a ring binderform like a ... pamphlet. And it is hardly a bible. Has no information on steroid stacks. It does refer to tapering but never discusses the use of hcg, nolvadex, clomid etc. to counter the side effect of ganadotrophy. It lists some steroids on the market but does not even cover Susteneon and offers little information about them. I learned vitually nothing from this book that I hadn't learned on the internet already.
Rating: Summary: Educational, Entertaining, and to the Point. Review: The Steroid Bible greatly enhanced my knowledge about steroids. I found the extensive section on steroid side effects to be the most valuable part of the book. I was not aware of the mental aspects of steroid use and didn't know that steroids can cause both extreme confidence and extreme depression. The reports written be steroid users were both educational and entertaining. This book gave me an inside, behind the scenes tour of what it is like to use steroids.
Rating: Summary: This Book Has Helped Me A Great Deal Review: My boyfriend started using steroids a few month ago. He had me convinced that steroid use was no big deal and that he knew what he was doing. At first I believed him, but after a few weeks he started losing his temper over small trivial things. He would become verbally abusive with me and a few times I though he might hit me, but he never did. I learned a great deal about steroids by reading The Steroid Bible. I now know that steroids can make it hard for a person to control his temper along with other side effects and how steroids can be used in the safest manner possible to minimize these side effects. I showed The Steroid Bible to my boyfriend and he changed the way he takes steroids. His temper is no longer a problem. I would prefer that he not take steroids, but he is a serious bodybuilder who has a good shot at becoming a professional and I want to support his dream of becoming a professional bodybuilder.
Rating: Summary: Big Disappointment! Review: I purchased this book to gain some insight into steroids, cycles, and the side effects associated with steroid use. From the very beginning I found the book to be very biased and one-sided. The spelling and grammar was horrible. The book had several miss spelled words and grammatical errors. The book has very little information, which in so many words, strongly suggested that you should not use steroids. It does not contain any facts about specific steroids. Most of the book is just testimonials of people who have supposedly tried steroids. This is the worst book on steroids that I have ever read. The book is written very unprofessionally. This book is a one star rating at best!
Rating: Summary: Exactly What I Was Looking For Review: The Steroid Bible was exactly what I was looking for. Comprehensive, unbiased information about steroids. Nothing is hidden or left out. Both the benefits and dangers of steroid use are presented and I was allowed to draw my own conclusions. Most steroid books either exaggerate the side effects that steroids can cause or try to pretend that taking steroids is as safe as using creatine or protein powder. The Steroid Bible presented the facts in a clear, easy to read manner. Steroids are powerful drugs and they must be handled with an appropriate degree of knowledge and respect.
