Rating: Summary: For Women Only Review: The book FOR WOMEN ONLY is great! There is thoughtful and caring effort given to let women know they are not alone nor different. These professionals have a bright future. The only thing wrong with the book is its title. This literary work should be required reading for any male wanting to have a meaningful relationship with a woman.Al Wilson
Rating: Summary: In a nut shell Review: The book is a pusher to buy Viagra with a testosterone chaser. Worse yet these two sisters of toil think you should thank your lucky stars that you have a man. Good grief, they want us to be *Men*. And they call themselves doctors...and women ???
Rating: Summary: Waste of time and money Review: The book is printed (at least in the UK) using thick paper and enormous typeface, making you think that it's a thick book full of useful information, but upon opening it you see that it's patronisingly written and published with enlarged type...as if we're children...and has NO practical advice for women who want to help themselves....it does feature a bulleted list telling you to "try" things that you've probably already tried; they're not even very creative. Sorry, but I already thought of using candles, thanks. Basically the book extols the virtues of Viagra and tells you what you already know: there's something wrong with you, you need to see a doctor, and nobody is able to help you except for the illustrious Berman sisters. It's a waste of time and money. Skip it.
Rating: Summary: What every woman should know! Review: This book addresses the problem of sexual dysfuntion in women. Few women feel comfortable talking about their sexual function complaints in private, much less with their doctors. This book provides women with information about normal sexual function and responses, what are the causes for sexual dysfunction, and what are the emerging treatments for female sexual dysfunction. The book also provides useful information on how to talk to your doctor about your problem and what questions to ask regarding treatments. A list of resources is provided at the end of the book as well as a questionairre to determine if you have sexual dysfucntion or not. All women and their parthners should read this book. It will be an excellent additon to any library and provides for great dinner converstation and cocktail party discssions. All women need to be informed about their bodies, how they respond, and what the potential problems are.
Rating: Summary: For Women Only is not for Women Only!! Review: This book has something for everyone. No matter how sensitive, its subject matter is presented in a clear, concise and readable manner. My wife and I have already found it catalytic to our relationship. I am sure that both patients and their physicians will have increasingly open and productive communications as a result of this eye-opening approach to women's sexual health.
Rating: Summary: DISAPPOINTING!!! Review: This book was not helpful. It read like a public relations promo for the Berman and Co., with a the makes of Viagra also getting a nod. I didn't find the writing helpful, well-written, or in the least bit interesting. A waste of my money.
Rating: Summary: Best Book on The Subject Review: This is clearly the best book out there on female sexuality, and believe me, I've read them all!!! It's well written, to the point and provides a plethora of information for women, their partners, as well as health care professionals. A must have!!!
Rating: Summary: Waste of time read Review: Those of us who know our bodies could tax from this book a pharmaceutical rant of the drug Viagra. As for the rest of the story - none to be found in this book. Save your dime. You would be better off using a search engine on such women's issues. You will find much more information and direction than this book could have conceived.
Rating: Summary: Everyone should read this book--men too Review: What Our Bodies Ourselves did for women's health, this book does for women's sexual function. This book explains things about the physical and psychological aspects of women's sexuality that most doctors won't or can't tell you. This isn't just about sexual dysfunction, but about sexual function in both the mind and body. The Bermans explain exactly how women's bodies work sexually, why sometimes they don't work as well as they should, and what can be done to fix problems. Their empowering message is that most problems CAN be fixed--you don't have to live with them. I found this book a real eye-opener. I recommend it to anyone in a sexual relationship, male or female, if you're having problems or just want to improve your sex life.
