Rating: Summary: Oh the good old detachment law.... Review: minus 1 stars! People, all I have to say is: You need to detach yourself from making millions of dollars from your next new age bestseller, that is what Dr. Chopra has done so far in his 'oh so spiritual' path. The man who sells Rumi CD-Roms with Demi, and Madonna, is not even worth being mentioned, let alone read! Don't waste your money or your time. Your life is way too valuable. Look within. The answers are all there.
Rating: Summary: Puts everything into prospective, must read!! Review: This is an excellent book. Everything he writes about makes since and it's up to you to put into your life. The quote, "The past is history, the future is a mystery, and the present is exactly that, 'the present'". Excellent, take everyday nice and slow and enjoy it and don't be a judge. Enjoy your silence and enjoy the silence in nature. It's wonderful I can not tell you enough about this book. Good Luck !!
Rating: Summary: Be careful what you wish for Review: This is a great book. It helps guide you in the spiritual journey. I reveals the universe as a wishing tree. I think one should be humble and seek love as opposed to wishes, but hey it's a free world. To better understand quantum physics I would recommend: The Self Aware Universe by AMit Goswani, Both the Spiritual Universe and the Dreaming Universe by Fred Alan Wolfe
Rating: Summary: Great is the operative word for this book Review: The author helps us identify our "fear based" ways of thinking and substitue more effective ways to think. These concepts work. I would also recommend the book An Encounter With A Prophet to get rid of even deeper "fear based" beliefs.
Rating: Summary: Pocket-Sized Wisdom Review: This book travels everywhere; it can be collapsed and folded to fit into your briefcase, backpack, purse, or lunch pail. It has been written for people moving, either up or down. It doesn't have the footnotes or bibliography or annotations that would cut it for a serious or academic work. It folds the East into the West--Eastern thinking into Western functions. The wisdom inside is handy, practical, straight forward, and precise. It can be read waiting for a plane, on a Sunday afternoon (what I did), or by the bedstand. For these reasons, it is important. It fills its place. Read it.
Rating: Summary: A Change Will Do You Good Review: This was the first Deepak Chopra book that I read. It definitely changed my life. Although all the "laws" are common sense and things we already know- Deepak helps remind us how important it is to incorporate these principles into our daily lives. I have read and reread this book, loaned it to countless people and given the book as a gift. I highly recommend this book and all of Deepak Chopra's wonderful books to everyone! The changes we can make in our lives using his insights will definitely do us good!
Rating: Summary: It's common sense! Review: The ideas presented in this book are so interesting and yet so simple, it's common sense. I recommend you to summarize the 7 laws and print them, so you can remember to apply them. That's what I've done and it's working.
Rating: Summary: Deepak hits key points of awareness essential to all of us Review: He speaks in language down to earth enough for anyone to understand. Seven laws gives us the keys to truly living up to our intended purpose. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Rating: Summary: Spiritually motivating Review: As usual, Deepak Chopra provides us with a wonderful guide to living and the fulfilment of dreams in words anyone can understand. My favourite part of the book is at the end of each chapter. He provides a practical way of incorporating each spiritual law into your life, instead of just saying "this is it!". It is not only easy to follow, but beautiful. This book will move your soul into directions you probably didn't even know you had a soul ;o) As they say we ARE all ONE ! Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Nourishment for the Soul Review: As always Depak cuts to the quick. He knows and speaks from the heart. There is no window dressing in this book, just basics to give one a firmer foundation for exploring and growing spiritually.
