Summary: This little volume is life changing.
Review: I picked up this book kind of by accident as I was shopping in a natural food store. I have never read anything by Chopra before and have heard much about him, both positive and negative. I read this book in an afternoon (recently) and have re-read bits of it each day since. I carry it with me in my purse to read when I have a moment during the day. The principles are universal and can be applied to every area of life. My life was different the very first day I tried applying these principles. They are simple; not easy, but simple. If you wish to gain peace in your life and be more comfortable with yourself, others, and the universe, read this little book and learn to apply its suggestions in your everyday living. This book is on my all-time great list -- I'm going to make sure I'm never without a copy. May it be a blessing to others the way it is to me.

Summary: When The Student Is Ready. . .
Review: It's Deepak Chopra, need we say more? I picked-up this book at my local library about 4 days ago, and being a very short and small book, I've already read it and am stunned. The first Law (in a nustshell) says to "Practice Non-Judgment" for 1 day. You say the affirmation in the morning and remind yourself throughout the day - yada, yada - get the picture? Anyways, I hadn't driven 1 mile when I was already whining about the "idiot" drivers on the road. I had to laugh out loud and shake my head. Boy, do I have work to do! :o) Anyways, this book is a kick in the butt and an eye-opener IF YOU ARE READY. Always remember: When the student is ready, the teacher appears. Well, I do believe my teacher appeared.

Summary: Wonderfully illuminating - refreshing
Review: I first came across this book in 1994, and since then I have never been without a copy. Even if you are not a Chopra fan, I encourage you to read it - just give it a channce and you will understand why I like it so much.

It is like an easy reference book that reminds oneof some very basic, yet complex and at the same time fundamental principles of everyday living. Many days when I feel unbalanced, I stick this little book into my pocketbook and I read in on the train on my way to work. There is a very useful synopsis at the end of each chapter for easy reference.

I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have recommended this little gem. Its one of my favorite gifts to give. I hope you too can enjoy this work which is timeless in its value to those who want to lead a balanced and peaceful life.

Summary: Lots to apply and digest
Review: I am a Believer in Christ as the Son of God. So from this perspective the book was wonderful and enlightening. Applicable to your immediate state of mind and cirmstance, with plenty of information for further insight. Practical, and straight forward. I highlighted ideas I wanted to develop, made a few personal notes (not needed), and am going to use this as a handbook that I refer to once a month. In the future it will be used as a refrence book.

Summary: Breath-Taking
Review: A masterful work that takes all that 'is' and 'is not' and presented in a form that one can not only understand the great teaching of the 'secrets' of a plentiful life (if one applies these techniques) but also open new doors to better worlds ahead.

Summary: Timeless Reference
Review: One of a handfull of important books that have helped me to transform my thinking and my life over the past 20-years. Basically ancient wisdoms and the basic concepts of manifestation presented in simple and practical language for real-life implementation. This is one of those rare books that I can't keep on my bookshelf as I'm constantly giving away to someone who might benefit.

Summary: the absolute bottom of the new-age barrel
Review: I got this thing from a book club and found it unreadable. It is nothing but a stream of incredibly vague, feelgood pseudo-thought meant to make people feel good while they're reading it and thereby sell books. It won't change your life anymore that any other escapist stuff will. And I thought Wayne Dyer was bad... this guy is truly a fluff writer, the bottom of the genre. No wonder he's so popular.

Summary: impactful
Review: This book is a classic. It gives so much information on the universal truths from the Veda. Sometimes difficult. I missed the link with the practical world. It is not an Absolute Victory by Pino who brings all of this knowledge steps further. The spiritual laws is a book to have for everybody who wants to complete spiritual and self help literature.

Summary: Simple and Wonderful
Review: This book has influenced me a lot in my life. I have had it
for the past 6 months or more and have read it again and
again. In times of difficulty, some things I remembered
having read in this book has brought peace to me. The law
of least resistance and the law of giving has influenced
me the most in my life and I am more aware of the other simple
things happening around me. This book has been written with
such simplicity, that the words stay with you always. I have
shared this book with a few friends and recommended it to
many others. All loved it and experienced it.

Summary: Very clear and well spoken
Review: This book isn't the typical new age mindless fluff. Regardless of what one may think of Chopra's ideas, it's undeniable that he presents them in a wonderfully lucid fashion. Although I get the impression sometimes that Chopra a bit too glib like a person hawking "visualize yourself rich" books when they never were poor a day in their life. I also get the impression from third-hand sources that Chopra may not "walk the talk" as much as he might try to give the impression that he does. Regardless I have found the book a thought provoking resource, and it is very instructive to read it in conjunction with Florence Shinn, Arnold Patent, and also re. Edgar Cayce's "active patience."
