Summary: All children need to hear how special they are.
Review: I bought this book for my nephew when I was asked to be his God mother. I think every child needs to hear these words and know they are special. The illustrations and pictures make the book come alive. The message of the book makes everyone feel truly blessed. This is a book I will buy for every new baby who comes into my family.

Summary: What a beautiful book!
Review: I bought this book when I was pregnant with my twin daughters. It is a gift from me to them (when they get older I will share it with/give it to them). It holds a very powerful meaning for me. I read the book through tons of tears and when finished, wrote a message from my heart on the inside cover to my unborn girls. Now that they are here (8 months old) I want them to be all this book mentions and more.
The author says it all so beautifully and this is just such a wonderful book...a must have for any parent who wants the world for his/her children!

Summary: Reminder of Gifts for Any Age Child or Adult
Review: I found this book by chance when looking for a book to tell someone how wonderful they were. I turned around in the bookstore and this book was staring me in the face. I find the twelve gifts to be beneficial and beautiful reminders of every person's talents and traits. I bought 8 copies on the spot and plan to give one to everyone important person in my life. It really is a wonderful inspirational book. I'd like to see the gift text republished without the storybook introduction so that it could be listed in bookstores under Inspirational literature instead of under Child Care. I'm afraid people will miss it in this section. I recommend it highly to adults and children alike.

Summary: Its a message of the ages
Review: I found this gift of a book while I was browsing in a small shop in Alaska. It's a book that is definitely one to be kept in one's own library to remind ourselves each and every day of the gifts that we have as individuals to share with the world. I believe that there is so much negativity in our every day lives and a book such as this gives us back our humanity to us. As someone said we think we are human beings trying to be spiritual when in fact we are spiritual beings trying to be human. So for all of those who have low self esteem and think they have nothing to give others, read this book, it is a must! And for those who know they have gifts to offer someone, read this book, for it puts into such simple words how simple it is to be wonderful each and every day! Thank you to the author for having the strength and joy in her heart to put forth loving words of inspiration! I am a true fan!

Summary: A gift of a book
Review: I got this book as a gift for my firstborn son. The first time I read it I sobbed and sobbed. With thr birth of my son I gained a new realization of how precious all children really are. Each attribute this book discribes can be applied to all and help us all feel special.

I love the artwork in this book. My son loves this book and it is always good to read together-as he is older now. I have another opportunity to teach him and let him know of his specialness and the love I have for him.

Summary: This is a great gift giver!
Review: I loved this book. I was so moved. It is very simple but states more in these few words and pictures than a thousand self help books.

I am ording more now just as gifts to my daughters and there teachers!

Summary: A great message for adults.....and, okay, children, too.
Review: I plan to give this book to my adult friends who don't understand the value of their gifts. This is so well done that it should be shared with adults....altho it's written in such a way as to speak very well to children. I fell in love with the message as I finished each page.

Thanks, Charlene, for sharing this work with the rest of us.

Summary: A Beautiful Gift for the Prince or Princess in your Life!
Review: I was so happy to receive this touching book last week. As this book begin's "Royal dignity was yours from the day you were born- Psalms 110:3" we are reminded how each of us has our own special gifts in life.

The book includes a special page for gift-givers to inscribe some personal thoughts to the receiver. I always told my 23 year old daughter she was a princess and now I have a book that shows her just how special she has always been.

I highly recommend "The Twelve Gifts of Birth," as a wonderful gift to give to a pregnant woman, a newborn baby, or a child of any age to remind them of the special gifts that were their's from the day they were born. It would be an especially thoughtful gift for a young person who is struggling with adolescence to help remind them of the beauty and talents that they were born with.

Not only the words are beautiful, but the quality of the materials used to produce this book will make this a gift that will be treasured for a lifetime.

Summary: A Blessing!
Review: I work with children in a public library (on a bookmobile!), and I purchased this book for our collection. It's a warm and loving story that instructs children in their emotional development, encouraging them to draw on strengths within themselves that they may not realize they naturally have. The text is simple, yet exquisitely written. The message is delicate and sweet. The photographs are realistic and reflect children experiencing the world. How I wish I had these kind of spiritual teachings from a parent when I was growing up! This book offers a great way to begin to teach your child how to soothe himself or herself, and how to face life's challenges with heart. I highly recommend it for your children's library at home, and for you too!
