Summary: It works
Review: I was recommended to buy this book from a therapist I had desperately went to seeking SOLUTIONS, in 1998. I was a single parent living below poverty level at the time. I read most of the book, re-read parts of it and began incorporating perhaps only 10%. With just that small bit of effort (and a couple other excellent solution/perspective changing -oriented books, my life changed to the better dramatically. The book itself is wordy, but the reconditioning solutions do work. Recently, I made a decision to move toward fully maximizing my potential and have just started going back to STUDY more. If only applying a mere 10% of his ideas without reading the book to its entirty made such a fantastic difference, I'm now ready to challange it at 100%. With that, I recommend not only reading, but studying and APPLYING the concepts in "Unlimited Power" if creating changes in your life is what you truly desire. 4 Stars due to style and wordiness. Content ... 5++ stars all the way.

Summary: Almost but not quite.
Review: I read his book didn't get one iota out of it. Put it away for a couple years broke it back out and got tons of information out of it. It really motivated me to take a look at some of the areas I wasn't accomplishing at. It didn't help to be honest not to say that it won't work. The ideas and principals are excellent when applied to a lot of lifes miseries unfortunately I didn't feel they applied to the one situation that was really creating me misery. If you have a bad habit this books great or if you have fears. The only fear I have is of snakes and it doesn't hold me back in anyway because I don't encounter snakes except at the zoo and they are behind closed glass so big deal. I think Tony Robbins should tell you exactly what he did to get out of his circumstances that would be much more realistic approach. He says he used techniques of NLP to go from a $400 dollar apartment to millionaire. He tells you the techniques but doesn't tell you how he applied them to his life. So your still left trying to figure out how to apply them in your life. To get over this obstacle he suggest you hire a coach that of course he supplies. I think it's a great idea unfortunately I feel a lot of people don't feel like it's worth their money or may not have the money. I don't know of if this is a review but it's definetly a rant and hope it helps. Take It Easy Rob

Summary: Please don't read that book!
Review: If you really feel like there's something missing in your life, if you are really miserable to that point, this book is for you. But the problem is that it's not going to help you. It will make you feel great for about 10-20 minutes after you've read a whole chapter and you will feel like you have really understood something great, but I promise you that it will not last. Try it! Go ahead! I'm just trying to save you 2, 3, 4, maybe 10 years of reading his books, going to his seminars and listenning to his tapes and not changing your life in any way. I won't even mention all the money you will lose on all that stuff. If you really want to change your life, read some philosophy, get into sports, religion, or whatever you're into, but PLEASE don't increase the misery in your life by reading the "teachings" of that poor giant, of that leech: Tony Robbins!

Summary: Had to add my 5 stars!
Review: I gave this five stars and send in this review just to push this great work on up to where it belongs. I have a bookshelf full of self help tapes, some good, like Zig Ziglar, Louisa Hays, Depak Chopra, some really terrible and rip offs. I really don't like being ripped off in the name of "inspiration". But this is really the best motivational tape I've come accross in years, better than others by the author. It's fun to listen to, insightful, intelligent without being condescending or partonizing, just a very inspirational and motivational work. Something different about it strikes me every time I listen to it. It's gotten me back on track after a lull in my life, gotten my juices flowing again and I'm already achieving greater success in all important areas of my life...what else can I tell you? Try it, it's worth the price of the purchase, I promise.

Summary: If you want just one self help book--this is it
Review: I've been a student of personal development for over ten years. My long time favorite has been "The Magic of Thinking Big" by Dr. Schwartz.Tony's advantage is in his power of communication both in books and on tape and combining personal development strategies with NLP Techniues.Awaken the Giant is a great companion volume and goes into more detail the actual techniques, although now they are called NAC.Besides Tony's two excellent books and the Magic of Thinking Big, one other book that has played a major role in my business and personal life is Direct from Dell by Michael Dell.

Summary: OK, a little corny but...
Review: Tony's enthusiasm for this stuff is great. Some of the material is a bit silly, but to paraphrase Tony- "If you can get one or two idea's, then the book is worth while". This is the case with this book. The two sections I enjoy (and revisit) are his section on goal setting, and the chapter on breaking out of limiting beliefs. Like any self-help book if you don't do the exercises the material will not help you.

Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a simple starting point in personal development.

Summary: You can do anything you want.
Review: Anthony Robbins discovered he had Unlimited Power whilst living in a 400 sq. foot bachelor flat when he was 26 years old. Three years later he wrote this best-selling book.

The keys to Unlimited Power are easy to define. The first is to know exactly what you want. Most people know what they don't want, and focus on not getting what they don't want. Unfortunately, your subconscious mind can't tell the difference. It only knows what you think. If you are always thinking about what you don't want, you'll get it!

Study this book. Take it to bed with you. Have it with breakfast, lunch, and dinner until you know what you want. Then you'll be on the path to getting it.

Summary: Great book for motivation
Review: This book is a must for improving one's life. It has valuable information on motivational techniques that work. One person who can review this information is Anthony Robbins himself who has suffered from procrastination lately, his new book has been delayed another 6 months now it has been delayed a total of 2 years. Tony put out the book! What has taken you so long, practice what you preach!

Summary: Life Changing
Review: Excellent reading. My sister gave me this book. I started reading and couldn't put it down. You do however, need to be patient with his sometimes wordy writing style. However, the concepts are so real, it's amazing! Robbins touched on all aspects of life. You can apply it to any situation at any time.I loved it...I read it while on holidays and after the first few chapters I felt so empowered that I put Robbins' theory to the test. I flew in a single engine plane on the same day!(something I wouldn't have dared to do previously). Proof that this stuff works.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Motivational
Review: At times, Unlimited Power is painfully simplistic. Robbins uses silly anecdotes to emphasis some of his points, and some of his points boil down to basic common sense. Other times, however, he is able to verbalize what I considered to be very real, very helpful strategies for actually increasing personal power. The book is well worth reading (just read it quickly) and will likely continue to help people take control of their lives.
