Summary: A healthy new me
Review: While I understood the science of Dr. Barry Sears in the Zone, I found the program way too complicated to figure out how to eat and live on a regular basis. The Formula is kind of like The Zone for dummies. I was able to start an eating program right away and felt wonderful within days. While my scale did not plummet, as was explained in the book, my clothing started to feel looser and I consistently lost two pounds a week, even when I had "cheated". I lost 30 lbs. on this program and felt like I was eating all the time. It does really work and I didn't do anything I thought was dangerous or didn't make sense. I love the idea that anything can be done in balance. It is real life. Not all of one thing and none of another. The book is easy to understand and the program is easy to follow. Kudos!

Summary: This program really works!
Review: I bought "The Formula" three months ago and started the 21-days fat flush plan. Within one week, I could feel a difference in my energy level and I lost 8 pounds. So far, I've lost 35 pounds! I recommend this book to everyone whether you want to lose weight, control your blood sugar level or improve your health in general. This is the first time a nutritional program really works for me. My family and I will keep eating a balanced diet for the rest of our lives...

Summary: The Formula, A simple way of life
Review: I found the Formula very easy to understand. The recipes were outstanding. Not only did they taste great for my husband and I but the meals are something my two and four year old love. This plan can easily be a way of life forever with eating Chicken tacos, macaroni and cheese and Spaghetti and Meatballs!! My all time favorite is the Almond Roca Frozen Latte. What a treat!! None of these foods taste like diet food. Thank you for creating a plan that can be enjoyed by everyone with simple gourmet tasting meals. And best of all you know you are eating healthy.

Summary: How I Lost Twenty Pounds In Four Months
Review: I have been on all the popular diets. The Formula is the best. I bought the book the first part of April this year and have followed it precisely. It is the only diet program that I have ever been on where I did not get a headache at first, nor did I suffer at all from hunger. Never have I felt so good or had such good results. My husband and I are still on the Formula as a life-style of eating right. He has lost 23 pounds.
Also, I have a history of diverticulosis and all symptoms are gone. I have bought a lot of new clothes, size 8. Love it!

Summary: Fat is not the enemy; processed carbs are!
Review: In my opinion, this is the best book written on how to eat to control your weight or more specifically to control your insulin levels. The Formula does a great job of explaining why other nutrition plans don't work. The main plan of the Formula is to have you control your portion sizes and replace processed carbs with fruits and vegetables. The book provides the necessary information on how to get started with many very doable menus (for a non-cook like myself) as well as many more "complex" menus (those with more than 6 or 7 ingredients).

This plan works. I have been following it for 6 months. I'm eating less, I've lost 40 pounds, and I never feel food-deprived or hungry. Can you say that about your nutition plan?

Summary: Yet Another Diet Doomed For Failure
Review: While I like the authors of this book and think they are honest believers in thier program, this is still another hyped diet doomed for failure. I suggest everyone out there fat or not start eating to live and stop living to eat. Get involved in life, find a cause, respect your body enough to give it the proper fuel of whole fresh foods, exercise, sleep enough, get some sunshine, and give up dieting for ever. You have a 95% chance of failing a diet and gaining the weight back. However if you respect yourself enough to care for your one and only body and you can fall out of love with food you will lose weight.
By having to measure, calculate, multiply ect. everything you eat like on this plan I guarantee you will become so obsessed with food you'll think about it all day. Take it from a 28 year old who has tried everything and read the book"DIETS DON'T WORK"
it will change your life and perception towards food. I gave up dieting 2 months ago and have lost 4 pounds no effort, at 5'8'' I have about 20 more to go, but hey it will happen.

Summary: The HIGH ENERGY way to live!
Review: I was so happy when I found this program. I am a registered dietitian and a doctoral student in nutritional science and I recommend this book to anyone who wants a healthy eating plan that really works for weight loss, increased energy, & improved muscle tone. It has helped me control my weight and my daily energy swings like no other eating plan. It is especially helpful for anyone with blood sugar problems or energy slumps. Many of the recipes are very good. The peanut butter cheesecake recipe is delicious! I would eat it often for breakfast or snacks and still lose weight - can't beat that!

Summary: Finally I get it!
Review: Wow and I mean WOW. I have never been so happy being on a program and I have done them ALL. This is one that your whole family can benefit from. Just the increased energy and healthy habits are worth it.

Unlike other diets who shall remain nameless (atkins) this one really stresses healthy portions, balance and ratios. I am never hungry on this plan. LOL the only problem I find is that sometimes the portions are too big! So what kind of a problem is that. I hope they come out with just a receipe book. BTW their tortilla pizzas and lasagne are really good and their pumpkin cheesecake is great too. The Balance Gold bars are great on the run and satisfy you if if you miss chocolate.

I have only been on this a short time and have a ways to go but I know this will be my plan for life.
Thank you for such a great book. The last weight loss book I will EVER have to buy!

Summary: Easy and convenient!
Review: This is the best book for someone who is overwhelmed with the technical terms used in a lot of diet book. The menu samples are extremely easy and convenient. I loved it! I lost over 40 lbs. using it. You won't regret trying it.

Summary: Hormonal Help!
Review: This book really helps if you are overweight and have a history
of hormone problems. Having tried the high protein diets without
much success this lifestyle book was very encouraging. I am also
on crutches currently and cannot exercise and have still lost 19
pounds since Jan. 15 (today is April 8). The authors make the
instructions much easier than the zone but after reading their
book I found I was able to utilize Barry Sears books as an additional resource.I wish they would create a webb site and a place for followers to have e-mail conversation. I would get this book rather than their lastest one.
