How do you repay that? By helping someone else. I would like to see everyone in the world get the chance to lose weight. So, if you're like me, love chocolate and candy and bread & butter foods, give this book your attention. Work with it, trust it, listen to your own body and how calm your cravings will get.

Rating:  Summary: I've read this book and 3 others! This is a way to live! Review: I have read this book in addition to several others that the Heller's have written. The Heller's have founded a way of life that is saving many people from a lifelong struggle with weight and rebounding cravings! I have met them personally at the Carbohydrate Addicts Convention 1999 and they are sincerely concerned for the wellbeing of the followers of this plan. They not only write their books but they are personally involved with a support group and they have helped many individually who struggle to find it easier to follow their plan, no questions asked!I do not feel that they are giving their secrets away from their recent appearance on the Oprah show. Rather they are so eager to help the many that they KNOW this plan will help, that they are willing to oblige us all with the few basic guidelines that we are to follow. This information in no way replaces the reading of any of their books.. there is A LOT more to insulin resistance and learning about how it affects us and the few things that were told us on the Oprah show. The Hellers are going to save many people from feeling that they have failed their entire lives on other diets.. This works!

I have lost 15 lbs., I am not tired after a meal, I have more energy, & my blood pressure has dropped back to a normal range for me. I cannot say enough good things about this WOE!
Rating:  Summary: Read this book after every other diet plan has failed you!!! Review: I was completely miserable one day, having tried every single diet plan in the world. I came upon this book and it was like a godsend. Once you understand the basics of this plan, you will realize that you can eat everything in the world, lose weight, maintain it, and stick with it forever. I am now back into a size 8 (loose sometimes!) and am happier and more energetic than ever. This book teaches you that being addicted to carbs is NOT YOUR FAULT and it teaches you how to break the cycle. Trust me, I'm a complete carb addict and always will be. But the difference is now, after having been on the plan for almost a year, I can walk down the cookie aisle and not be tempted. And if I am tempted, I can eat cookies at my reward meal and be satisfied with a normal serving size. The plan teaches you that you CAN eat like a "normal" person. Never thought I'd be able to do that, ever!!!

He's the first and the best, trust me-- my father and I are living proof. I lost 45 pounds in three months, and now know how to eat for life.
Rating:  Summary: THIS DIET IS LETHAL TO SOMEONE WHO CAN'T STICK TO IT. Review: I tried this book and every other book or program out there (slimfast, WW, this one, Dr Atkins, NASD etc.) and nothing worked for me except the program I am doing now. This book is very bad for someone who can't stick to it. The reward meal of eating all you want is the worst thing for someone who is addicted to carbohydrates. This diet caused me to have intense intestinal problems. I would not recommend this book to anyone because your wasteing your money. If your really serious about losing weight in a healthy fast way then write me. I can help you and your carbohydrate addiction.
Rating:  Summary: It's a great plan Review: I know myself that I am a carb junkie. I could eat a 5lb bag of potatoes in one sitting and I felt so huge. I started this today and I hope I can keep mself under control. And the american food pyramid tells you to have 11 servings a day of carbs. Who were they making it for a human or a cow? And the reward meal is the greatest thing I ever heard of. No need to avoid, just save it for later. Look out Larry North you have a lot of competition, and this plan works so much better. I saw the entire thing on Oprah just last week and in my opinion why buy the book when the hellers are on tv giving the secrets away.
Rating:  Summary: This really works!!! Review: This book has been a miracle for me. I've lost 145 lbs in the past two years, and it's been no trouble keeping it off. This book outlines a way of eating that is very simple, easy to follow while not giving up the rest of my life, and it causes all my cravings to disappear. The key is that I'm no longer hungry all the time, so I don't have to rely on will power to sustain me, I can make rational food choices like a "normal" person. And I have tons of energy for exercise and fitness. Thank goodness for Dr.'s Heller and this new approach to weight loss.
Rating:  Summary: This book produces results! Review: I have been on the Carbo Addicts Diet for two months and have lost between 9-10 pounds of fat and 7+ inches. I must say it is easy to follow and combined with regular exercise (i.e. weights and treadmill) has produced wonderful results for me. The reward meal has proved a life saver, but during the day if you follow the recommended servings, etc. you should not have the cravings for sweets. I eat egg whites and bacon for breakfast, tuna & salad greens for lunch, and basically whatever I want for dinner. I have tested the "whatever you want" theory at a local restaurant and did not gain a pound the next day. It does work...if you are a Carbo addict. Take their test, you won't be sorry!
