Rating:  Summary: Divine Inspiration Review: Three children and 110 pounds after 17 years of marrage I quit trying to diet on my own and began seeking God's help in losing weight. Sorry Amazon, but I found this book at a supermarket. It was the only one and it was like a "sign from God" that this was the answer. It is! Only 6 weeks into the program I have lost 18.5 lbs and I am steadily loosing 2lbs per week. This book is very easy to read and the diet plan is simple to follow. I can live with this the rest of my life. Blessings on the writers of this diet and Glory to God for directing me to this plan. PS: Constant prayer and help from the Lord our Father is priority in the success of the diet.

Review: I tried Dr.Atkins diet and I lost some weight but I found it too restrictive.On this plan I never feel hungry or deprived because you can eat almost anything you want for dinner.I can have pasta,bread,rice ect.,these are all foods I love and on this plan you don't have to give them up.I never knew why after a big meal I would still be hungry.I would have dessert and had trouble stopping at one or two cookies.This diet has taken away my cravings.I have lost almost 20 pounds in 6 weeks.For me it works,I was a carbohydrate addict.Give this diet a try to find out if you are too. You will be amazed at how easy this plan is to follow.
Rating:  Summary: Nice idea, but DOESN'T WORK Review: I agree with the person who tried this diet for 7 weeks, lost 5 lbs. the first week, then nothing else happened. That's exactly what happened to me! I started on January 18th (nine weeks ago) and I finally quit in disgust a few days ago. What WAS true is that you lose your food cravings during the day (I stuck to protein and vegetables/salad during breakfast and lunch.) What is NOT TRUE is that your daily reward meal (usually at dinner) will enable you to lose weight. In other words, my food craving stopped, but I didn't lose weight! As a matter of fact, I started gaining weight in weeks two, three and four before again reversing. I agree in principle with everything said in this book (including the need to regulate insulin/blood sugar.) And if your goal is WEIGHT MAINTENANCE while eating anything you want (including pizza, chocolate, ice cream, and pasta) on a daily basis, then this book is for you. But you will NEVER NEVER NEVER lose weight with this.
Rating:  Summary: Wish I'd Known About it Sooner Review: For more than a year I've been depressed about my weight, and had given up even trying to control it. I just didn't care anymore. But January 1st I told myself I was going to change that. My daughter is six and I don't want her to become embarassed by her obese mother, and I'd really like to start riding horses again. Before Christmas I picked up this book, but I didn't read it until this past weekend. It was wonderful. We were on a weekend trip and I started the diet that very Sunday while we were still gone. The cravings are gone, I'm more alert in the afternoon, and I have more energy. When I think about all the times I came so close to doing dieting this way, I want to cry. I could have dropped the twenty pounds in high school and been done with the battle, now I've got sixty to lose. Better late than never. I'm so confident that this is it for me, that I even sent back the new order of fat burning pills I'd recently received (unopened). 3/23/00

I have always had a problem craving sweets right after finishing a large meal and I never understood why, until now. I have been on the plan for 1 week and already have lost 5 lbs. This eating plan is fairly simple and it works. The cravings are gone and I look forward to my reward meal every night. If you have a hard time dieting, this is the book for you!
Rating:  Summary: Not for me! Review: I got on this diet seven weeks ago and as of today, I've had it. I lost five lbs in the first week and for the next six weeks not a pound! I got depressed when there was no change in my weight for weeks, but always went back to the pages where they tell you to be patient, the weight will start going down if you just stick to the plan. And that is what I did, but nothing happened. I followed the plan strictly, even went to the plan D where you skip one of your complimentary meals. I was constantly hungry, but stuck with the plan D for three weeks since I thought my weight would actually start going down. But as I said, I've had it. I'll just get on a low fat diet that makes more sense to me than this one. I'm happy for everybody who had results with this diet, but like they said in the book"This doesn't work for everybody". Whether you're an addict or not,I may add.
Rating:  Summary: May work for some, but I couldn't stick w/ it and gained Review: I would like to say that I did lose weight at first. I took off 18 pounds in three months...BUT...I then could not lose more and got right back to eating like I was...gained the 18 pounds and another 20! Now I am 50# overweight. I felt hungery on the diet and deprived. So I really "made up" for what I didn't eat. Also... I can only eat so many bacon and egg breakfasts. The book was well written and easy to follow. It could work for those folks who can stick with it!
Rating:  Summary: The easiest diet in the world! Review: I don't have time to cook or fuss. I barely have time to breathe. When I found this book I had 80 pounds to lose and now I deciding whether I want to continue losing or stay at size 10! The easiest diet in the world. No need to cook - you can eat out at any restaurant including fast food restaurants and you never have to measure. The cravings were gone in days just like they said. I will always be grateful to my friend Amy for being brave and giving me this book. Thanks Amy - I don't know what I would have done without it. And you'll like to reward meal every day so you have no need to cheat. I thought I had given up and now I'm so glad I tried this and found the answer for the rest of my life.
Rating:  Summary: INCREDIBLE CHANGE IN THE WAY I LOOK AT EATING Review: Boy, I have been eating this way for approximately 5 weeks and have lost 10 pounds. It is incredible...not so much in the weight loss, but in the way I feel. Now I live for my kids, not eating and sleeping. Doctors, thank you so much.
Rating:  Summary: I never feel deprived and I lost 65 pounds Review: I can hardly believe it. I've lost 65 pounds (20 more to go) and I'm never deprived. I eat bread and chocolate cake at my Reward meals and I don't feel like I'm struggling any more. I would definiitely recommend this to anybody who thinks they have tried everything. It really works. I saw them to Oprah and thought it was just my answer, and I was right. My husband is in shock. I never have cravings anymore. I am very grateful.
