Rating: Summary: A book every woman should read, regardless of age Review: I can not put into words how much information there is in this book. I learned so much about a woman's body. I learned things that we should have been taught years and years ago. Why don't more women know how estrogen dominance is ruling their lives? I encourage all woman to read this book. I am about to go into the health care field and I plan on telling my patients about this book and how it can help them. There is so much information in this book and if it isn't in there, the book can point you in the right direction to find out more. This is a must read book.
Rating: Summary: A must-read, but even better to read both books Review: I first read Dr. Lee's "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause," and then this book. I found the premenopause book to be a much easier read, but recommend reading both books (and I'm a slow reader.)The information made so much sense of bodily changes I've experienced 10 years earlier than most women. I'm relieved to find out I'm not losing my emotional or physical balance. After reading the book and also having a benign cyst removed, I've dropped birth control pills, started using progesterone cream and supplemented my daily vitamins. I feel better, my migraines and arthritis have abated, have no more night sweats and won't miss having a period. I am also shopping for a new (enlightened) ob/gyn.

Rating: Summary: Please use with caution, it made me feel much worse... Review: I had ALL the symptoms that were in the book. Decided better to be safe and have tests first. Did the saliva check, which came back with low estrogen and high progesterone (good think I didnt take the cream yet). I then went to the doctor and got the same results with blood tests.Be very careful before you medicate yourself! This has happened to other women posting comments on this book.

Rating: Summary: What your doctor NEVER tells you!! Review: I have been using Natural Progesterone for 3 months since reading this book. I cannot believe the difference!! This is mandatory reading for every woman!! I am telling everyone I know about this book!
Rating: Summary: Great information for women over 30. Review: I have found this book to be helpful and solution oriented. I am a migraine sufferer and a woman who has dealt with major PMS. This book stays focused and goes into the vast array of symptoms that hormones can create in women. I suggest women interested in balancing their life and using alternative methods to do so should check out this book.
Rating: Summary: A Good Resource for Perimenopause Review: I have now read every perimenopause book out there. Dr. Lee's book is a good resource for perimenopause but hands down the best book I have read (and my baby boomer friends agree) is Ann Louise Gittleman's Before the Change.
Rating: Summary: Bought for both my daughters Review: I have read this book and reread sections of it that I felt applied to my current health issues. In the process, I saw that both of my daughters....late 20's....could benefit from reading Dr. Lee's book. I wish this book had been out before my hysterectomy in 1990---due to problems from an over production of estrogen in my body. I am now experiencing pelvic pain from ovarian cysts and have begun using the recommended progesterone cream---(this is the first time in 5 years that I have slept uninterrupted for 6+ hours---my normal has been 2.5 to 3 hours). I suspect that the cysts will shrink as well. Thank you Drs. Lee and Hanley!
Rating: Summary: Essential reading for all women pre or post menopause Review: I have read this fine book as well as the earlier volume by Dr. Lee "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause". I feel that both of these books contain information that every woman and really every person needs to know. We live in a dangerous world. A world full of invisible or unnoticed chemicals that impact the reproductive and general health of all of us, especially those of us in the industrialized world. It is essential to know what is happening and how chemicals are changing our health. Forewarned is forearmed. Many problems that we are calling "normal" in today's world are not normal at all and speak to the need for balance of our hormones. Men and women will benefit from this information. Young women are not immune from the dangers in the environmentthat cause hormonal changes. Please read this. Don't have invasive surgery without first reading this book, it could change your life.
