Summary: Friend - like Narrative Voice of Author + Simple Process
Review: Rick Carson writes this simple to follow, wisdom filled and practical book as if he was talking to you one on one over a cup of coffee. One sentence he wrote about you using his process said, "Either way, I'm here for you for the long haul" just cracked me up!

Simply stated in Carson's word, "Your Gremlin is the narrator in your head that diverts you from finding simple pleasures inside." He also reminded me how my own Gremlin hypnotizes me to what is really true.

The process is presented at its simplest and includes excercises to deepen the readers experience.

All of this is very valuable AND I would recommend this book AND I think there is something missing because I hardly see my life as having ONE Gremlin... perhaps it is a HEAD Gremlin... to me the Narrator Gremlin wears different costumes.

Nonetheless, overall both the book and the process will have incredible value for you, especially if you take action and integrate what you learn AND take it even deeper as it works in your life.

Summary: Choose your best option
Review: Taming your Gremlin is a great book because it helps us to confront our own demons and overcome them. This book will help people who have self-destructive patterns of behavior. I suggest you read another book, Optimal Thinking: How to Be your Best Self which shows you how to make the best choices in every situation. There is also a chapter that shows you how to identify the core beliefs that stop you from being your best and realistic simple strategies to overcome them. I absolutely recommend each of these books.

Summary: brilliant (works too!)
Review: There are only a few books that have the capacity to change one's life forever. The Road Less Travelled, M. Scott Peck; Be Here Now, Ram Dass; Think On These Things, J. Krishnamurti; and now Taming Your Gremlin. The techniques are so simple and obvious that they often seem counterintuitive; we expect the solutions to require much more strife than they actually do. In a style akin to a contemporary Lao-Tse, Carson lucidly communicates his message with humor and accesibility. Did I mention that it works?

Summary: Reclaim your freedom and joy!
Review: This is a book I regularly use in my coaching practice. It's a fun, easy read that has helped my clients (and myself) move past self-limiting thoughts and behaviors. Carson's light-hearted approach and the great illustrations keep the process fun and simple for the everyday reader. Enjoying yourself is key to having a prosperous, abundant life - emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Everybody should have this in their personal library, and it is absolutely a must-read for coaches. Enjoy!

Summary: the tricky devils of the human mind unveiled!
Review: This is the best book on the behaviour of the human mind I have ever read. Witty, clever and decidedly wise, it has more relevance for the everyday life of the person on the street than any other modern guide to awakening or personal psychotherapy I have come across. Richard Carson marries the serious with the witty in unprecedentedly simple style, and manages to convey that enjoying yourself as you are now is the real key to positive change. This is just the "medicine" that the overly causeandeffect dualistic mind of the west really needs. Jung called logic the greatest thorn in the side of western thought, and Carson's book is a prime example of this way of thinking.

If you want to enjoy your life ever more each day, and let your own light shine to set others free too, read this book and laugh your way back home.

Summary: Wonderful discovery - It's not you!
Review: This is the greatest little self-help book! In it you find all those people in your head and realize once and for all that IT ISN"T YOU! It is that noisy little committee in your head, causing self doubt. This book gives these committee members unique identities, personalities and a method for silencing them. A wonderful find!
