Rating: Summary: Brilliant force of Reiki Review: I just love this book :), I have been trained from Reiki I to Reiki Master-Teacher based on the teachings of this book and Essential Reiki by Diane Stein. I however, prefer this book. William Rand who I have not met yet has taken Reiki from Dr Usui's beginnings in Japan to present day Reiki all over the world and into in the vast Universe. It includes the basic hand positions, Japanese based positions such the Raku and everything in between including jump starting your own business in Reiki. I would highly recommend it:)
Rating: Summary: The worlds greates book about reiki healing Review: I live in Norway, Europe, and buy and read any book I can come across about Reiki healing. William L. Rands book Reiki the Healing Touch is the best book ever written about Reiki. Mr. Rand manages in a few words to capture the magic of reiki - the ancient healing method the world had forgotten. This guideline is a must for anyone who wants work with the Reiki energy. I sell this book to my Reiki students - and it is THE only reiki book I can support 100 percent. It is an easy read book, it is well written and makes Reiki available and easy to learn. Reading the book is like getting to know both Reiki and mr. Rand. Thanks to William Rand for this lovely book.
Rating: Summary: At last the latest information on Reiki Review: I love this book as it contains an up to date history of Reiki including the latest information from Japan, the Japanese Reiki Techniques including how to do them and the Hayashi Healing Guide. Along with this is a clear and meaningful explaination of Reiki including an indepth understanding of the Reiki symbols and all the western hand positions for treating oneself and treating others. This is by far the best Reiki book on the market and is a great manual to give to your students. I highly recommend it to all Reiki people.
Rating: Summary: Well researched, filled with useful information, illustrated Review: I wrote this book first as a workbook for my Reiki classes back in 1990, then expanded it to be sold in bookstores. I have constantly updated it
using information collected in my travels teaching Reiki all over the world. It has excellent illustrations and is written with clarity and vitality with an attempt to capture the true essence of Reiki. It now contains
valuable information on the true history of Reiki.
This book is used by many Reiki masters as their class workbook.
Rating: Summary: Reiki the Healing Touch is a must for all Reiki Teachers Review: I've been teaching Usui Reiki since 1993 and use this book in all my Reiki I & II classes. It is a step by step manual to Reiki written with clarity and sincerity. William's thorough research into the history of Reiki and his description of how Reiki works with the mental, emotional and physical bodies is very concise and descriptive. He inspires us all to teach from the heart and be filled with gratitude for the miracle of Usui Reiki.
Rating: Summary: This was outstanding book. Review: The book was a clear review, With well thought out chapters. I would REC. it to anyone just starting reiki or one who is well versed.
Rating: Summary: Great Manual Review: The training manual I used as a student and the manual I now use to teach from.
Rating: Summary: A library worth having for every healer Review: There are books which pretend to be a reference point, and there are those which not only are, but also exceed readers' expectations. These are some of those! Read them twice and heal the universe. A library worth having for every healer.
(1). Reiki The Ultimate Guide Learn Sacred Symbols & Attunements by Steve Murray
(2). The Power of Divine: A Healer's Guide - Tapping into the Miracle by Tiffany Snow
(3). The Reiki Sourcebook by Bronwen & Frans Stiene
(4). Reiki: The Healing Touch by William Lee Rand
(5). The Healing Energy of Your Hands by Michael Bradford
Rating: Summary: A Wealth of Information about Reiki Review: This book contains a very clear explanation of the hand positions and includes many useful and powerful Reiki techniques, including some of Usui's original techniques which were not passed down by Mrs. Hawayo Takata, who brought Reiki to this country. The inclusion of recent research on the real history of Reiki, as opposed to the mythology which apparently has been taught in American Reiki circles, helps to set the record straight and adds to the credibility of Reiki and the book. Unfortunately, the book does not contain pictures of the Reiki symbols, which however can be seen in Diane Stein's Reiki book and in Diane Shewmaker's book on Seichim. While the book becomes too aggressively commercial at times in the promotion of William Rand's Reiki center, the author has a real connection to the loving, powerful energy of Reiki, and the book is well worth buying.
Rating: Summary: Decent book, but needs work Review: This book is a good start for beginners and for teaching Reiki 1 and 2 classes. However, besides the history and background of Reiki, you also get the autobiography and self-promotion of William Rand. Some may find this a welcome addition to the book, but it may be a distraction for others. The book is not well edited and in some parts it's like reading the work of a high school kid still learing how to write. If you look past these problems, there is some useful content in the book about Reiki.
