Summary: I've Lost So Much Weight
Review: I first bought this book this past January in hardback. Since then, I have lost 53 pounds and am a size 10. Granted, I still have another 25 to go (that would be to what I have always thought was my ideal weight), but I have never been on a plan that works the way this one does.

The eating plan is so easy. So are the exercises. I hate to exercise, so that is saying a lot for me. But I saw results in the first 2 weeks. I could actually feel some muscle.

I encourage everyone to give this plan a try. It's not a gimmick. It's based on tons of research. Now that it's out in paperback, I bought another copy as I travel with it all the time.

I would love for everyone to lose weight the way I did.

Summary: This Is the Best All Around Weight Training/Weight Loss Book
Review: I found Jim Karas' book to be the best all around weight loss program I have tried. I love his writing style - I felt like he understands the struggles of loosing weight and trying to tone up and look good. I highly recommend this book to anyone trying to find a program to fit into their busy lives and want to see results! I also ordered his new videos and exercise equipment. I think we may have found the most credible and intelligent weightloss guru of this millenium!

Summary: This Program Works!
Review: I have been following this book for just three weeks. I did the Flip The Switch Jump Start Eating Plan for the first two weeks and lost 11 pounds. In week three, I lost another 3 for a grand total of 14.

This book is so easy to understand. I get to eat all sorts of different foods and lose weight. I don't feel deprived. I hate exercise, but I only have to do it for 15-20 minutes, three times a week. That I can do.

Check this book out. I just bought another copy for my mom and she is amazed by my results.

Summary: The Best Weight Loss Book Around
Review: I have been overweight for over 22 years. I have tried everything from Atkins to The Zone, you name it.

About 8 months ago my best friend gave me his book. He had lost 45 pounds with this book and told me I had to read it. Well, by Chapter 2, I was hooked. Now I know why I have spent so many years overweight. I was simply eating too many calories and only doing cardiovascular exercise.

Now that I am strength training, my body looks the best it ever has. I have a 32 inch waist and have also lost just over 40 pounds.

If anyone is reading this, please order this book for yourself and one for a friend or loved one. I've bought 6 and every person has thanked me and has also started losing weight.

Summary: I Just Finished The BEST Book
Review: I have been overweight my entire life. Right now, I hate to say it, but I am over 60 pounds overweight. I have tried everything and nothing has worked.

I saw Jim Karas, the author of Flip The Switch, on Paula Zahn last week so I went out and bought his book. I honestly believe that it is the best weight loss book I have ever read, and trust me, I've read them all. The information is so clear and this guy does his research.

Plus, look at his success. Diane Sawyer lost 25 pounds. Gayle King, Oprah's best pal, lost over 25 pounds and totally changed her shape. The program is going to work for me. I'm completely inspired and you will be as well.

Buy and read this book today if you are serious about losing weight.

Summary: The Best Weight Loss Book Available
Review: I have read and tried almost every weight loss book for the past 20 years. Never have I had the success I have achieved with Flip The Switch. I bought it after hearing about Diane Saywer's weight loss. I've lost over 80 pounds in the past 10 months. Counting calories, which Jim Karas (the author) advocates is easy. I can eat whatever I want. I simply need to know the calorie count.

Plus, the tapes that are available at jimkaras.com (and the programs in the book) are so easy and effective. I exercise only 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes and look at the results. Before, I just did cardio and it did nothing for me.

So, anyone reading, please buy this book and start losing weight. I have another 20 to go and can't wait to hit my goal.

Thanks Jim!

Summary: Real Advice
Review: I have struggled through a number of plans, but this is a fresh different plan with no gimmicks or "magic" food. Jim relates to real people and what resources are available for real people to allow them to accomplish their goals.

I recommend both of Mr. Karas's books to anyone that wants to cut through all weight loss B.S.

Summary: This Book Did It For Me!!
Review: I have tried every weight loss thing out there...Slim Fast, Atkins, Weight Watchers...you name it. This book was the only one that was so clear cut and inspiring that for the *first* time in my life, I knew I could do it! I have purchased a weight set and already am seeing results. If you are looking for a book that will speak to you as a person, an author that understands the troubles/stresses of everyday life...this book is it for you.

What I especially like about this book and about his articles in Good Housekeeping as well are that he understands that people will eat at McDonald's on occasion, will want a cookie or some other desert and he is not like other diet gurus out there that expect a person to instantly morph into something they aren't..ie-eating carrots and celery every day for the rest of your life.

Jim is very inspiring and motivating because he has been there and is so heartbreakingly honest in his self analysis of when he was over weight that you can totally relate. This book is fantastic and I recommend it to everyone. He completely cuts through every excuse, fad diet and myth out there and you walk away feeling very inspired and knowledgeable!! Good luck to everyone on this weight loss journey!

Summary: Finally, a weight loss book that makes sense
Review: I loved Jim's first book, Business Plan for the Body, but this one is even better. It makes sense. I certainly saw myself in some of his excuses - "What's Kept You from Flipping". I have tried to "flip" many times but I believe this book will give me more tools to really make the commitment.

I love the eating plan and the shopping list is so helpful. I am taking it with me to the grocery store. The exercise photos and descriptions are clear and easy to follow, too. I can't wait to get started on my new plan to "Flip".

Summary: Works For All Ages
Review: I purchased Flip the Switch last month and like most of my weight loss intentions, didn't read it. Over this past weekend, I decided to make an attempt. Well, I couldn't put this book down. I read it all weekend. I've purchased other weight loss books in the past, none of which have helped me. Most of them were either patronizing, or basically silly. This is not the case with Flip the Switch. Jim Karas provides the mental foundation one needs to actually begin a weight loss program. After reading the first two chapters, I was positive that I could motivate myself to actually succeed.

I just turned 60 this past month and am shocked at how much weight I have gained. Until I read Flip the Switch, I felt that it was too late for me. Fortunately, that's not the case. Jim makes it very clear that weight loss is possible no matter what one's age.

Additionally, he debunks all the excuses I, and probably every one else, has used to either put off or explain why I (we) aren't successful at weight loss.

I was very suprised at how well written this book is. I especially liked all the included worksheets. They helped me focus and enabled me to chart my progress.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who has tried and failed at weight loss. Jim Karas is a great writer and motivator, I can see why he is the weight loss contributor to Good Morning America
