Rating: Summary: POWERFULLY HEALING YET SIMPLE Review: I have been doing the Five Rites for a little over 3 years. I can't begin to say how healing and energizing they are. They are an important part of my daily routine. I am 51 this year and since I have been doing the Five Rites my energy level feels like I am in my 30's. Some physical problems with sholder, back, elbow and knee have left me some time ago. Interesting enough, they left in the reverse order of becoming afflicted with them. If you find that you don't have the time to go to the gym or get the bike out or go for a walk, TRY THESE.. You will find your energy level begin to increase and before you know it you just might make the time to go for that walk!!!!
Rating: Summary: Essential to the understanding of the 5 Tibetans Review: I have been doing the Five Rites since 1996 ( It is now July of 2003). Can't begin to say enough good about them. Bad back, tennis elbow, arthritis in shoulder, all gone. Each left in the reverse order of onset after approximately 4 to 6 months of doing the rites. My energy level increased, I was able to begin riding a bicycle again and now am an avid bicyclist doing abut 15 to 20 miles each night after work and about 50 on a weekend. Just completed a 100 mile ride in under 7 hours. (Not bad at 53 years old). At the onset of the Five rites I began to loose weight and keep it off as well as drop from a 38 to 34 waist. My energy and strength make me feel like I am in my early 30's. I think the key is dedication to the Rites. I recommend this book to everyone.

Rating: Summary: Complements Energy Work used for Healing Review: I practice these simple excercises daily as instructed. I have found very interesting results in only two weeks. A cronic back problem I have to be careful of has all but left. I have also realized that the excercises complement the Healing work I do as a Reiki Master /Teacher. I can actual feel the energy flow as I do them. I am very excited to have found this system of excercises. About 20 minutes a day is all it takes.
Rating: Summary: Great yoga routine for beginners and advanced alike Review: I was delighted by the easy to understand instructions for the 5 poses, as well as the pictures that accompany each pose. This is a book which offers a program that is great for your health, your time (when you are pressed for it), and your mind. It's hard to believe that a series of poses that take very little time can be so benefitual. The additional chapters on meditation are an added bonus.
Rating: Summary: The Five Tibetans Review: I will be 51 in June 2001. I have been doing the Five Tibetans for two and one half years. I must say that all that is said about the Five Tibetans is true. I have had several problems that have been healed by the excercises. My energy level feels now like it did when i was in my 30's. I am a Reiki Master and teach energy work and I recommend this book to many of my students as a way to assist in ones well being.
Rating: Summary: Not for beginners Review: I'm a huge fan of the Five Tibetans, and this is a great little book for people who are already fit and experienced in yoga-type exercises. For anyone else, however, I strongly recommend Peter Kelder's "Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth", Book 1 or 2, instead (one of Kelder's books introduced this author to the exercises). Kelder tells you how to start gradually and build up repetitions. He gives you tips for doing the exercises safely, and alternate ways to do them effectively when you are starting out and not yet strong, flexible, or confident enough to do them fully. Kelder's Book 2 has more detail, but I started with Book 1 and it was more than adequate. Kilham's book contains none of this basic information, which makes it suitable for practitioners of other Eastern physical movement like yoga or Qi-Gong but difficult for people without that experience. I do very much agree with him that breathing enhances the exercises. Beginners may want to get comfortable with the exercises first, and then add the breathing. If you want some simple exercises you can do in less than 10 minutes, anywhere, with no equipment, where you'll really get results - the Five Tibetans are awesome!
Rating: Summary: hopeful Review: I've been doing the rites for 2 weeks now. I haven't felt any difference yet but hoping it'll take an effect soon. I get really dizzy on the first rite so, instead of spinning, I do the helicopters as my instructor recommended. After the excersice, I do feel rejuvinated but that feeling only lasts for about 15 minutes and after that I feel tired again... Hopefully, I will feel the whole effect soon. As far as the book goes, it's simple to read and understand.
