Rating: Summary: should be called 'you can CHANGE your life' Review: This book completely changes the way you think without your even being aware of it. When going through a crisis, or even if your'e not, this book makes you feel happy & peaceful & REALLY puts life into perspective. I have read it time & time again, & have a 2nd copy as the first one is getting a little worn & the appearance of this book is exquisite. With beautiful illustrations, this book is very empathetic to whatever problem you have. You'll close the book feeling very uplifted indeed.
Rating: Summary: I'd give this life-changing book a hundred stars if I could! Review: Feeling angry? Dwelling on the past? Feeling sick? Confused? Blah? This book helps you to hear what goes through your own mind ...... Once empowered, you can snare seemingly innocuous thought patterns which are actually highly counterproductive and harmful and banish them with relative ease. This book changed my life in 1995. After seven years, I still apply YCHYL's principles to nearly all my waking hours. And yes, as YCHYL says, you will at some points want to set the book afire or hurl it violently against a wall because of the flat truth it reveals, BUT DON'T ... it's a wonderful and benevolent eye-opener.
Rating: Summary: A true work of genius - life-changing Review: As a recovering "rational/analytic" type, I resisted Louise Hay's ideas for over a year and even laughed at the simplicity of them. I now listen to the taped version everyday in my car. The ideas are simple because they're true. The ideas are already changing my life for the better. Louise has given us all a gift of learning how to change our lives with compassion, love and kindness. Thank you, Louise!
Buy this book and read it with an open heart. It will change your life.

Rating: Summary: Open your own mind for improvement! Review: This is truly a magnificent book. The author gets straight to the point and explains how to deal with your problem (whatever it may be) by using positive confirmation. You will actually feel the beauty within yourself as you read this book. As I worked my way through these exercise and practiced the affirmations as instructed I truly began to heal my life. It was nothing short of a miracle and pure magic. I continue to use the exercises and continue to work to change my own thought pattern. Everything that I need in this life seems to head my way. I am very happy and I am making my dreams come true. This was the most wonderful book!!!
Rating: Summary: DISCOVER THE REAL YOU! Review: "You Can Heal Your Life" is a beautifully written and illustrated book dealing with self-discovery. It is a stepping stone in finding the real person you are and exploring ways that will lead to a more peaceful and happy life. Often, we are our own worst enemies with imaginary fears of what the future will bring, or we are dwellers of our past mistakes, regrets and misgivings. The importance of discovering and accepting our true self for who we really are, and the search for a more fulfilling life, are explored among the pages of this book. Some of the words here are very much similar to Buddhist Philosophies. It is a known fact that before we can start anew, we must first rid ourself of all negative emotions and habits, more commonly known in this day and age as, "getting rid of the excess baggage." This is a wonderful self-help book that will lead you on a path of positive thinking and leave the reader with the understanding no one is perfect, we all have faults, but we can still feel good about ourselves. If you are interested in exploring more fully the world of peace, contentment and happiness, I also recommend reading , "Awakening the Buddha Within" by Lama Surya Das and "Healing Society" by Dr. Seung-Heun Lee. Both are excellent books and a realistic learning adventure in self-discovery.
Rating: Summary: The book you have to choose if you want to start a new life. Review: This is the book you really need to read if it's the first time you are going to read how to heal your life. It's a beautiful experience; reading it is like a discovery, the discovery of a light that will show you how you can do to improve your life. It is beautifully written and it is the one I can strongly recommend to read in the first place. After reading it, you'll become a fan of Hay. At least, that's what happened to me. Now I have all her books and I've turned into a more relaxed and happy person. It doesn't tell you how you have to live, it tells you that to be happy or to have positive thoughts is your decision. You can choose between being a happy person or being a person who just thinks about all the past events which weren't good or happy for you. Trust me: the best book ever.
