Summary: This is the Bible for Weight Loss
Review: After ten years of struggling with weight loss I felt that my body and mind went through enough torment. I have used all of the approaches including - Atkins , Weight Watchers, The Zone Diet, LA Weight Loss, Jenny Craig, Trim Spa, and many of the so called "fad diets". Each and every time I was not only disapointed, but I was left extremely hungry. What does a starving person do? They eat and eat and eat. I was told to check out Fire Up Your Metabolism from a friend, and I decided to try to learn its disciplines.

Let me say that I am extremelly impressed by the Latakos twins thorough relation of increasing my metabolism to shed the weight that has been so hard to lose. This book is incredible and I feel that it has set me up to finally succeed. It explains the way the body works to fully capitalize on increasing the amount of calories I burn throughout the day.

I totally recommend this book to only people that are serious not only about losing weight, but to educate themselves so they can participate in a healthy lifestyle forever. This is the best twelve dollars I have spent in 2004. My appreciation and thanks go out to the authors.

Summary: Finally an end to my frustration!
Review: Finally, an end to my diet confusion and frustration. The tips and the myth boxes are great! I love the sample menus. The lists of foods that are good to choose are really helpful. This is a plan that I know I can follow for the rest of my life. I've tried every diet book, and finally, this is one I can follow.

Summary: Great Book- So Easy to Read!
Review: I bought this book 2 weeks ago and I love it.It was very easy to understand.I am an identical twin too so I thought it was cool. Both my twin and I are trying to lose some weight so this book will help us. I wont make her a "guinea pig" though. Smiles! Great book!

Summary: This is a depressing work written by two diet policewomen.
Review: I don't doubt that the nutritional advice is sound. Almost anyone will be able to lose weight following their guidelines. But "rev up your metabolism"?... you will be too depressed to be active. The Lakatos sisters take such a righteous, puritanical approach to what should and should not be eaten in what portions and when, that I found their advice a big turn off. I am a dieter and have lost 43 pounds in the last four and a half months, simply by counting my daily calories and eating balanced meals. If I had followed their plan, I would have given up after a few weeks.

Summary: It only makes sense....
Review: I have lost a pound a day doing what they tell you in the book. I realize that most of that is water weight, but I will take what I can get!!! I also know that it won't be hard to keep it off. I tried Atkins and did lose, but I gained it back and more! Now I just notice what I eat and I feel 100% better. I am almost 55 years young and will do this for the rest of my life. I have more energy now than when I was 30!!!!
