Rating: Summary: 28 yr Male Review: I picked up FACERSIZE on a whim. It sat around my house for a while before I decided to actually start doing the excersizes. The results have been FANTASTIC. If the author can read this I would like to buy her dinner someday. I am SO happy. My eyes were "sleepy" kind of droopy. Some people thought it was cute but I didn't like it at all. People constantly asked me if I was tired. I started with the eye excersizes and I didn't notice the difference at first but a lot of other people started asking me what was different about me. They said I looked better and they wanted to know if my skin was clearing up or if I was tanning. Now I notice the results and I have taken it one step further. I have worked on making my jawline more prominent and it has really worked. I do my excersizes every night before I go to sleep and I use the excersizes to wake me up in the morning. I invest about 15 min a day and I truly enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: I'm doing something wrong, maybe Review: I am concentrating on shortening the tip of my nose. I believe this will work , I can feel the muscles working, but immediately after I do the exercises it looks great , then it just goes right back in place. What could I be doing wrong?
Rating: Summary: Miracle Book? Review: I am a 19 yr. old male student. I had been considering surgery for over a year, but in my search had discovered this book. Wow! After just a few days I discarded the idea of surgery. This works wonders, give it a try its fabulous. You will end up saving yourself some serious cash if you were considering surgery. Thank you Mrs. Maggio
Rating: Summary: It really works! Review: I tried this book after my husband saw on TV talkback that women were having better results doing face exercises than with plastic surgery, especially taking into account the risk of complications etc. We took 2 "before" photos, front and side. My complexion looked sallow, with dark rings around the eyes, sagging cheeks and the beginnings of a double chin. I am 40 and having recently lost about 37 pounds was starting to look a bit saggy, although I have few wrinkles. I took 2 similar photos two weeks after doing the exercises every day and the results are incredible. The sagging jowls have all but disappeared, the double chin has smoothed over, the rings under the eyes gone and the complexion is now light and dewy. If I hadn't taken the candid "before" photos, I don't think I would have recognized the dramatic changes that were taking place, as they happen a little day by day. If anything, these changes after 2 weeks were even more dramatic than the photos of clients in Ms. Maggio's book. The exercises are very scientifically formulated to exercise the muscles and not create more wrinkles. I send the photos to my mother, an active woman in her sixties. She said they were amazing and almost unbelievable. Now I am going to send her a copy of the book!
Rating: Summary: Following the exercises did not yield results for me. Review: I have followed the exercises faithfully as described in the book for five weeks and have seen no change. I am suspicious of the promise of results in six days: two of the women in the before and after photos have make-up on in the after photos (not in the before photos) which naturally enhances their looks (e.g. lipstick always makes your lips look fuller). A caller to Dr. Dean Edell, a medical doctor with a radio talk show in Los Angeles, also complained of getting no results and Dr. Edell said that facial exercises do not work. It appears that Facercise works for some but not others. Carole Maggio should have offered this disclaimer in her book. I would appreciate feedback regarding my experience and Dr. Edell's comment.
Rating: Summary: Forty and still get "carded" - what can I say. Review: Loved this book, use the exersises daily and it has truly paid off. It may look funny while you are doing them, but you will not laugh at your youthful new look!
Rating: Summary: Never Too Young To Start Review: I am a 23-year-old graduate music student, and I picked Facercise up at a bookstore, planning to give it to my mother for her birthday. But then I started reading it and trying out the exercises. I am now looking for another copy to give my mother, because I am keeping the one I have for myself! The exercises are wonderful! I haven't been on the regimen very long, but even after the first time I tried them, i felt a difference already. I recommend this book to anyone who cares about looking good in particular and about feeling healthy in general.
Rating: Summary: A NATURAL FACE-LIFT THAT REALLY WORKS Review: As a 50-something year old woman, I have always believed in natural approaches to health and beauty. My face started showing signs of aging in my mid-40's---sagging jawline, bags under my eyes, and an always tired look. I DID NOT WANT COSMETIC SURGERY, YET FELT FRUSTRATED OVER THE LACK OF NATURAL TECHNIQUES TO IMPROVE MY LOOKS. I met a woman at a conference and we talked over the next two days. I made some comment about her age, assuming she was at least 10 years my junior. That's when she smiled and told me she was actually a bit older then me, but had found a facial exercise program that changed her looks and life. Well, I bought the book that day, and also ordered the video tape. Today, I can honestly say Facercise has made a hugh difference in how I look and feel about myself. People think I've had a face lift, and that's O.K., because I know that this natural technique really works.
Rating: Summary: book doesn't live up to its claim Review: I tried the exercises in this book, and they didn't give the results they claimed. I don't believe this book because wrinkles aren't caused by your facial muscles but by the changes in your skin such as the thinning of the skin and loss of elasticity. I wonder about those who gave it high marks and how long they were on the program. Most likely they only had temporary improvements. Buyer beware!
Rating: Summary: Not well written or illustrated Review: I bought this book hoping it would show me how to do the excercises. Most of the book is dialogue explaining how wonderful the benefits are. When I finally got to the "how to" part I was disappointed. The explanations on how to do the excercises were vague and the illustrations were very limited with one or two photos. The first two excercises were nearly identical - I still can't figure out what the difference is. The book refers you to a DVD (which you can purchase) if you need help. This just makes me feel like I've been suckered in. Perhaps I'll look for the DVD at the library. I'm certain that excersising the facial muscles would be beneficial. I just would like an honest book that shows how to go about it. This wasn't it.
