This book helps to break it down in to easy to manage steps. 15 minutes a day! I can even manage that working full time and being a mother to a 7 month old!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: That's because it IS based on Pam and Peggy's system! Review: To the reviewer who "felt" much of the information presented was taken from Pam and Peggy's SHE system, that's because it is, and this is not a revelation to anyone who has visited the flylady web site. I think the book is fun, inspiring and touching. Marla Cilley is not an author primarily, so I wasn't surprised or disappointed when her style was not Pulitzer prize winning material. Still, it was excellent! Some readers may simply prefer having her system in book form.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The one that did it Review: I have over two dozen "get organized' books, from the inner issues to the outer ones. I found this book by accident. It has absolutely changed my life. Even my family has begun to use the phrasing and techniques from this book. The changes have lasted four months so far. The rest of the books are now gone! The author simply and persuasively leads us step by step to a happier home, and each step builds upon the previous. And there is no guilt about not accomplishing tasks -"Even work done imperfectly blesses my family". I have recommended this book passionately to friends and family, as well as the Flylady.net website. The book is a better starting point than the website, because it is better arranged and more logical. Gotta go shine my sink now!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I am ready to FLY! Review: Marla Cilley is the Dr. Phil of organizing- in her own sweet way. She tells you straight from the heart how things are... we SHE's (Sidetracked Home Executives) need to be told and reminded. She understands what it's like to live in CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome) and tells you how to dig yourself out. If there was one book that could be titled "Instructions For Living Happily" this would be it! I used to be a packrat and a procrastinator, but Marla has helped me see the light- and not whine about cleaning it! This book will teach you how to stop obsessing, start decluttering and Finally Love Yourself! I can't say enough about the wisdom of this system! It is so simple and can be adapted for ANY lifestyle. Whether you are a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) or a Payroll SHE you'll benefit from Marla's wisdom and love. Join the website and you'll learn so much more from the Flycrew. There's recipes, daily missions and Q&A to keep you motivated and stop you from marathon cleaning for the rest of your life! If you find yourself yelling at your children, being late for or forgetting about appointments or buried under piles of clutter, YOU NEED THIS BOOK!
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: You DON'T need this book to FLY! Review: If you like FlyLady.net, DON'T get this book. The website says it all and this book in redundant. If you must, check it out from the library or borrow it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fly Lady is totally right on target Review: Sink reflections is a must have for all households any where and in any place. It's wonderful to find a book that can remind me that stuff is just things that need a home so you can make your house a place to love. With kids and animals, I just about lose my mind when trying to balance and organize anything at home. I find getting "things" in focus and knowing when to let go - as in throwing out - is imperative when finding the right system in getting organized. Let's face it, getting and keeping things in place are two different things, at least for me. My personal crisis is not only skin deep in reflection but also in daily living with ties that bind (as in family members). I'm not motivated to do everything needed to live a nonstressful life and to follow through everyday to make in easier - at least not until I read a few books. For an all around junk free life, including stuff, kids and personal spirit, I recommend three books: Sink Reflections - to help with home and mind clutter, Sign Me Up, by Stacy DeBroff, for crazy schedules with kids and to get things organized before signing them up for activities, and Mommy-CEO, by parenting/family columnist, Jodie Lynn, for pure and simple words of wisdom on parenting and running a "home" like the big CEOs but with everyone pitching in to help mom AND LOVING IT! I'm so excited books are making a come back and as long as these kinds of authors keep writing, we will be saved from ourselves. I don't know about anyone else, but I love books that really make a difference in real life after reading them EXACTLY like these three do. BRAVO LADIES!!
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Not impressed... Review: I was not impressed with Sink Reflections. I found it dull, not well written, and not at all useful. I felt much of the information presented in the book was taken from Pam Young and Peggy Jones SHE system. Let the backlash begin!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Another FlyLady fan Review: I heard about FlyLady online a year or so ago. I had recently bought a house with my fiance, and I was having trouble keeping it tidy. Even though we have no children, we DO have four pets and both work full time, so things were sort of going to pot. I signed up for her online reminders, read the Web site and then bought the book. (I like reading books better than I do Web pages!) I think this system is amazing. FlyLady is very encouraging (though some might find her a bit saccharin) and keeps you from feeling overwhelmed with her reminders to "take babysteps." She concentrates on developing morning, afternoon and evening routines that help you keep you on track. (For example, my evening routine consists of running the dishwasher, feeding the pets, laying out an outfit for the next day, She also divides your house up into "zones" -- groups of one to three rooms. Every day, you clean in your zone for 15 minutes and do one zone mission that she sends out via e-mail or posts on her Web site. These are usually something very easy, like "sweep your front porch." There is one "home blessing hour" a week, where you dust and vacuum your house. (As she says, "It doesn't have to be perfect!") My husband has allergies, so I need to do a little more in-depth cleaning; I clean one room a day instead of all the rooms at once. The beauty of this system is that it is flexible. FlyLady has many testimonials on her Web site that include advice for FlyBabies who work outside the home, who have large families, who are pregnant, who homeschool, etc. As for the reviewer who said FlyLady sends scathing e-mails to those who disagree with her, I have never heard of such a thing. I've been on her list for quite some time and have never seen a rude or unkind e-mail.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: FlyLady saved my life Review: I was drowning in clutter. No, it's true. My house was a disgrace. We would do a classic "stash and dash" whenever someone came over. Then, I came across the FlyLady website. The very next day, I went out and bought this book. I read her book in one afternoon. I did exactly what she suggested. To make a long story short, I have thrown out over 1,000 pounds of clutter and am proud to have people over. And it only takes 15 minutes a day!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: You can't go wrong with this! Review: Sink reflections is FlyLady's (Marla Cilley) own version of the system in the book Side Tracked Executives ... she mentions this and gives them credit. She also has their support in her version of their system and it WORKS! Marla is awesome and has changed so many lives! She also explains that you can adapt this system to YOUR LIFE, wether you work from Home, Out of the home, are a stay at home mom , a grandma or not a Mom at all. It works well for Men too. The key is adapting her advice and routines to YOUR LIFE and what will work best for you. This is awsome advice that you can do here and there and work up to higher goals that you set for yourself and your home and or family! I personally think Marla is a super sweet person who has given so many of us what we need! Get the book and checkout her website! Yes you get about 15 emails a day, BUT she also explains how to use them and not to use them if you are not ready! It is very simple to delete them or glace at the title and know what it says inside, the reminders are self explanatory once you understand the "system". You simply use the reminder or you skip it! Marla is very loving and she is like a breath of fresh air in a world that is constantly urging us to BUY more and BE more and Do more. While you are working on your life and decluttering your house you also learn to love yourself. Fly Lady Sappy?? No , Fly Lady is a loving woman offering you a more peaceful, organized home in a simple easy way. This book is a GEM!
