Summary: I can't believe this is me!
Review: I bought this book as a "gratitude" purchase, but am finding it valuable to have all the information in book form. Flylady's website and emails have already started to change my life - and my house - even though years of trying other systems had not.

I'm very educated and can pull off grand projects at work, but my house has never been neat for more than one day, and that after mad panic cleaning due to guests being scheduled. No matter how much I resolved to not let it get bad again, I just couldn't seem to keep it together. My shame, and sense of failure, were unspeakable. And I thought, permanent. But I just needed to learn from someone who conquered lifelong chaos. This system works, and it is EASY! I simply cannot believe how much less time and stress this system takes, and how much better life is becoming. Oh, Thank God!

Now that flylady's book is in print, more people will be able to start living in peace rather than chaos. What a relief! Thank you Flylady, from the bottom of my heart. And my husband thanks you, too!

Summary: Uplift your spirits with down-to-earth advice
Review: I love this book!! FlyLady uplifts your spirts with her down-to-earth advice about homemaking (as opposed to housekeeping). Her methods are rooted in real life, and they are presented with a positive attitude that is infectious. And there is just enough bossiness thrown in to get you moving! FlyLady simply wants us to start where we are, dump perfectionism, get moving, and work towards establishing routines that will bless our families and ourselves. Her system is fun, and there is a spirit of community that is both motivating and affirming. I am a psychologist, and FlyLady's understanding of human nature and human needs is both deep and wide. She invites us all to Finally Love Yourself - so come FLY with her.

Summary: FlyLady's system may help relieve depression, adult ADD
Review: As a professional masters-level counselor(as well as a subscriber to FlyLady's list), I want to recommend this system to anyone who is struggling with depression or ADD in addition to clutter/dirt/disorder in your surroundings. For those of us who feel like everyone ELSE was born with that handbook on how to manage your homelife, this system can help immensely. (homelife = housekeeping, cooking, paper management, family schedules, laundry, etc.) The small tasks that she suggests at first will set you on a path to Finally Loving Yourself (FLY...) It's no longer a battle between taking care of your own needs versus your family's...gently, gradually, taking care of yourself in FlyLady's easy way will help you manage everything else, and vice versa. I have read many testimonials of people who were skeptical at first: How could cleaning their sink could change their emotional lives, their self-esteem? But then they found their depressive symptoms, self-loathing, family battles, even relationship troubles disappearing. While no one can promise you these results, trust me that it happens to many. Whether you're a working mom or a stay-at-home mom, or not a mom, or if you're a dad...Marla's ideas surpass every organizing method I have ever tried! They allow you to fully appreciate yourself, fully love your family, and to make your house or apartment into a home that serves your needs, reflects your spirit and ideas...but doesn't take forever or a fortune to maintain. All done in "baby steps," not a sudden overhaul. If you think that you may be suffering from depression, consult with a professional for help. But for many, this system can clear away a lot of what makes us feel down, inept, overwhelmed, taken advantage of or flaky...And with humor, humility and love.

Summary: FlyLady's the Best
Review: FlyLady has been such a help and inspiration not just to me but also to several of my friends. Read her book; join her website; and watch your life change. She turns you from a martyred, reluctant house cleaner to someone who loves her home and wants to make it a beautiful place for her family. I've read several other organizational books and tried to put them into practice, and yet things just kep getting messier. FlyLady's system, encouragement, and wisdom made more of a difference for me in one month than anything else I've ever tried.

Summary: Flying Will Change Your Life...for the Better!
Review: All of us who "fly" with Marla owe her so much! If your house and life are covered in clutter and you're exhausted by even trying to figure out how to climb out from under the mess, this book is for you! Flylady will teach you, using easy routines, how to rediscover your home, family, life and self. You may have tried other organization books, but this one is more than just organizing your home, but your self too. As you uncover your home, you will rediscover you, your family, and have time to do things your truely enjoy. Imagine being able to have people over without "crisis cleaning" yourself into exhaustion! Being able to run to the store without making excuses for your appearance! Not dying of embarrassment when someone drops by unexpected! You will get more out of life and spend LESS time cleaning with this system. It has changed my and my family's lives for the better, and I'm a mom of 3 small kiddos!

Summary: Finally get your home organized!
Review: I have been a subscriber of the author's website for about a year now. I am so glad she wrote a book to share with the world. If you live in chaos (can't have anyone over syndrome) and need organization in your home/life, buy this book...you won't be sorry.
I went from a grossly cluttered, disorganized home to a home I now can invite friends over and be proud. My life has completely changed. Throw out all your other "get organized" books and get this one, it truly works. I LOVE FLYLADY!

Summary: This book is AWESOME!
Review: This book had changed my life. Because I have read it, I am happier, my home is squeaky clean and my life is so much simpler and organized. I have never been know to be a neat person and my husband and friends are amazed by my new habits. Flylady taught me that a few daily and simple routines make a huge difference in my family's way of living. This book is worth every penny.. Can you really put a price on having an enriched quality of life? Oh, also it's easy to read and funny!

Summary: Rising Out of Chaos
Review: I live by myself and have never been a good housekeeper nor been organized. Flylady has helped me begin (I'm one of the slower Flybabies) simple routines that are starting to make a dent in all the STUFF I have. I use her book as a backup to the website/emails and it makes me feel like she is always with me, pulling me along and supporting me while I slowly take control of my home. She starts you out at the very beginning with "Baby Steps" as well as her mantra of "You can do anything for 15 minutes!" I am finding that through this process I am also finding strength in other areas. I hadn't realized how the atmosphere in my home has had me down emotionally. It's pretty amazing how it all ties in. She is so supportive and positive. Sounds corny, but it works for those of us who either never really learned this stuff, who just plain forgot it in all the turmoil of life, or who somehow just let our homes get out of control long ago and never got it back. There are no organizational system instructions or reccomendations, just rock solid ground support and fun and effective ways to get out from under and STAY that way!
