Summary: "Left me feeling positive and revitalized. A great book."
Review: Unlike a few of the readers that had read his previous books, this was my first Wayne Dyer book. I have seen videos and listened to cassettes by him, but haven't been impressed by them. I feel he makes a better author than speaker. I do believe that we can each manifest our own destinies in life, and the steps he outlines- if followed, will bring a great measure of success into our lives. If his other books are equal to- or better than this one, I must read them. This book simply had a flow- which made it easy to read, and difficult to put down. Reading this book meant time well spent.

Summary: Dyer is a very wise, spiritual and generous man
Review: I am not a fan of self help books. Like many people, I approach them with skepticism, maybe even think I am too smart for them, or go in with the attitude that the author's only intent is to try to make a quick buck.
All that, as a preface to say how wonderful this book is.
Dyer's suggestions not only work, but they are all rooted in the most high-minded concepts of love and faith. He has made the teachings of the New Testament come alive to me in a way I never learned in church -- though I do get more out of church having read his book.
This book is a masterpiece. My copy is dog-eared, and yet every time I open it, I am struck by his wisdom.
Manifest Your Destiny may sound like a new agey approach to taking, taking, taking from this world. Rather, it shows how living in love and faith attract all good things to you. I would have thought myself that this was too simplistic, but that is the talent and the wisdom of Dyer. Sometimes when I read this book, it feels almost like a holy text.
I might also note that while I realize Dyer is a very wealthy and famous author now, to read his works, I really believe he is a man who is interested most in helping people and bringing peace to the world.
If you want to buy one book about improving your life and living more in harmony and happiness, this is it!

Summary: The Guidebook to Success Based on Spiritual Principles
Review: This is a "peak experience" book by this author. It shows how he has "arrived", succeeded in manifesting his destiny ... It is the culmination of all previous books written by Dr. Wayne Dwyer. He identifies the foundation of success by outlining and fusing basic principles from the Judeo-Christian perspective as well as Eastern religions and philosophies. The basics are 1) "becoming aware of your higher self". By recognizing one's connection between this world and the unseen world a person can transcend the limitations of the physical world and achieve personal goals, here and now. 2) "Trusting yourself is trusting in the wisdom that created you". In essence, to succeed and achieve anything starts with a belief and trust that it can be done. The corollaries to this are, admitting one's confusion and doubt, accepting that there is love and support because we are not alone but part of a higher divinity. Another principle is 3) recognizing the holographic nature of the universe, which means everyone is connected through the principle of consciousness and thought. Keeping one's desired manifestation secret allows less dispersal of one's personal energy to those who react and thereby direct one's energy elsewhere. Recognizing G-d's unconditional love frees a person up from becoming judgemental. You essentially become a compassionate witness to everyone and everything that is happening in your life. The source of creation is a loving peaceful energy, there is no need to force or apply pressure to this achievement. The practice of meditation is recommended to achieve harmony with the Spirit and Source of all things. He advocates the sounding of "om" in the evening and "ah" in the morning as standard rituals - highlighting that sound is the one energy in which we can participate. Dwyer states, "Sounds literally mold the abstract world of thought and spirit into shape." [p. 113, Harper Perennial, c. 1997]. He adds, "Keep in mind that sound is the vibrational frequency between the world of solid matter or form as we know it and the higher vibrational frequencies of the formless world of universal spirit." [p.114] Mental imagery of your desire is recommended to formulate that it is possible and already exists as real. One of the last principles is expressing gratitude and generosity after one has manifested one's desire. This last principle expands to a life of service on some level to share one's understanding, awareness, or achievement with humanity. This closes the circle of energy and love that we receive from Spirit and lets more of it manifest in the world.
This book is highly recommended. Erika Borsos (erikab93)

Summary: Nice Title, But Wayne Can Write Much Greater Books!
Review: Wayne W. Dyer is the first motivational Author whose book I read years ago. I visited a small second hand bookstore in San Francisco and his book "Real Magic" fell down from the shelf, I bought it, and it literally transformed my entire life into a new adventure.

With his help, a high school student became a successful young man with a promising future. Ever since I have met miracles and real magic in my life day by day... and with his help I have been able to achieve wonderful results.

However, I am deeply disappointed at Wayne's book "9 spiritual principles". This book is the worst title by author who could write ten times better books.

This book is first of all written by confusing concept. Second, it does not really give you anything new if you have read his book Real Magic.

Third, this book rumbles over number of subjects, and it sounds rather unstable concept -- eventhough I know these principles do work.

After all, I lost all my excitement to read this book when I was in page 30, I laid down the book...and didn't read it for months.. Then I found it again, read it through twice, but still didn't like it too much.

You will do yourself a favor if you leave this title to those who are not familiar with spiritual laws.

IF YOU really want to read a good book, buy Real Magic by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. In my opinion, Real Magic is Wayne's greatest book and this is the worst.

Wayne -- I really love your books...but this time I have to admit that I am not very happy with these 9 spiritual laws. This book might be a wonderful one if it would have 50 pages less, and it would be more like Deepak Chopra's 7 spiritual success laws or something.

After my second reading I was pretty sure that this book is nothing new. It is like 3 or 4 of his older books combined in one with not so good result.

If you still want to buy this book...go ahead, maybe it will please you more and resonate with you more than it did with me.

Summary: A Must-Have Manifesting Book
Review: I have read a large number of books on this topic (much of which I have put into practice and yielded results) but this manual is surely the foundation and bedrock of them all. Rather than implicitly requiring the reader "to have faith", Dr. Dyer explains the underlying principles of manifesting, then proceeds in a no-nonsense manner to outline the "how-to" of it all. It's simple and easy to follow, and above all, uplifting. Unlike other publications such as "Your Heart's Desire" by Sonia Choquette, which writes around the subject, Dr. Dyer encompasses both practical how-to together with a more spiritual aspect. There is no paradox between spirituality and wanting material things; both worlds go hand in hand together. A must-have book. (Other excellent accompaniments are "Creative Visualization" by Shakti Gawain, and "Living Magically" and "Stepping Into the Magic" by Gill Edwards.)

Summary: Finished Reading but Still dont know how to Manifest......
Review: I bought the book because title attracted me & author was Wayne Dyer.I think this was dyers failed attempt. He is running short of ideas & still wanna write a book.

No new ideas.Same old Stuff.9 principles,Deatailed explaination But no exact idea of how to apply them together like a plan.

If we want something then how can we detach ourself from it.Its very difficult I think. If you are detached that means you relly dont want them.

God!I dont know what else to say.I gave three stars because there is something to read even if it is very little.

Better read Joe Vitale's Spiritual Marketing than this.

Summary: Had a hard time with this one
Review: Interesting part in the book was the part about how to meditate.
It may be a good way to work away stress in this very stressful society.

I still need more science. It seems Dyer is working too much from a strategic formula in his books rather than speaking from his heart. He would be better off speaking from his heart and talking about those who disagree with him. I wish he would express more emotion in his book..he always seems so "Spock-like"...and with Ben Stein type enthusiasm, I can only give Dr. Dyer two stars on this one. Hope your next books are more
ambitious, not just preaching to the new age crowd.

Summary: Where did you set your thermostat?
Review: Anthony Robbins the famous motivational speaker states that people have a thermostat setting in their minds which is set at a specific success level. Anything lower and they scramble to get back to their setting, anything higher, and they tend to sabotage it.
Dr Dyer in this book takes a different approach. He mentions that people choose a path to enlightenment that is either suffering, goal setting, and the highest order, living on purpose. We overcome obstacles through our general approach to life through one of these approaches. Some through suffering realize enlightenment. Others approach life with goal setting. Hard work, climbing the tower, and they finally arrive. Finally the people who realize that their is a greater purpose for our lives, and get in touch with that reality. By living on purpose all things are added unto you. It is the ideal solution to our lives.
I remember seeing a bumble bee one summer, trying to escape to the outside world. Repeatedly hitting his head against the glass window. Flying toward the glass, hitting his head, staggering, recomposing, and heading toward the glass once again. Again and again, banging his head into the glass. I sat back from across the room and wished I could speak to the bee and share with him the information that only a few feet from the window was a wide open door. Through continual trying the bee could possibly exhaust himself to the floor, and maybe then see the opening to the door. Others may call upon their greater sense, or rely on their intuitive sense, or greater guidance, and find the simple solution without the suffering or goal achieving.
Are we living on purpose? Achieving our destiny? It may be time to stop and ask ourselves that question, and that is what this book is about.
I find Dr Dyer to an enlightened person. He draws upon the teachings of many spiritual masters. Transcending the standards that are often dictated to us by others. I have learned more lifetime truths from him, than from most any other author. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is steering their way through life. (Which is all of us.) I have never read a book by Dr. Dyer that was not an enlightening experience.
Highly recommended.

Summary: More oustanding work from Wayne Dyer
Review: This was my introduction to Wayne Dyer. He has a gift for relaying information in simple, easy to understand terms that clearly get the information driven home. This was a wake up call for me and it did in fact help transform my life. Many claim to transform and enlighten but Wayne Dyer delivered. I strongly suggest that if you want to be inspired and effect change in you're life, listen to this program. This will assist you in understanding our true spiritual nature and the power that is inside of each and every one of us. It helps us access the power and effect the changes we desire in our lives.
