Rating: Summary: Bonds That Make Us Free Review: After completing my second reading of C. Terry Warner's, "Bonds That Make Us Free", I am taking the liberty of amending and upgrading my earlier review. With the possible exception of Marley telling Scrooge about the chains wrapped about him as the "chains he forged in life", I don't believe I have ever read more profound words on relationships than in this book. Everyone who has a relationship with another person---particular husband/wife---is doing themselves and their partners a huge disfavor if they don't buy, read, study, savor, ponder and apply the words of this book.

Rating: Summary: If you're in this position, it's all your fault - YEAH RIGHT Review: And it doesn't matter how many times you've been kicked in the head, unless you're willing to forgive and forget you'll still have a fractured skull. Meanwhile those who are doing the kicking are not at fault if they don't recognize they're hurting you, after all you're only hurting yourself. LIKE HELL.

Rating: Summary: Bonds That Make Us Free Review: As a student of philosophy I have become aware of the various implications and often unstated underpinnings of self-help theories. I have never come across a philosophy that so clearly and thoroughly outlines the steps to completely healthy relationships as is contained in Dr. Warner's book. The depth and truth contained in this work is amazing and, in my opinion, it sits among the great works that humanity has produced. I recommend this book to everyone as a must read. You may never again encounter such depth in a book that is so easy to read and understand. It is nothing short of life-changing.
Rating: Summary: Best book I ever read! Review: Best book I ever read! Got it after I saw a complete change of heart in a relative who'd read it. Get this book, really follow it & I believe you can have a happy life no matter what.
Rating: Summary: Still Gaga Over This Review: I actually did encounter this stuff years ago, as a troubled undergraduate student of Terry's in the late 80's. It changed my life in a profound and far-reaching way back then, and it still does now. Get this book - I can't recommend it highly enough. The change of heart it has brought forth in my life is worth more to me than words can express.
Rating: Summary: Can't say enough Review: I feel inadequate to review this book but I can't help myself. Warner's insight on mankind could not be more right on. It shed light on my own life and the lives of those I love. Who would have thought a book could do that.
Rating: Summary: Bonds That Make Us Free Review: I have been a serious student of human relations for the past 10 or so years, ever since the death of our 16 year old son awakened in me the opportunity for personal growth in all my relationships. Many have contributed to my journey, and I have read much. This book is the most profound by far in exploring the way productive, loving relationships actually work. I have read it multiple times and will do so again. Greg Merten, VP & GM of Supplies Operations, Hewlett-Packard Co.
Rating: Summary: Psych Instructor heartily endorses this book. Review: I have required T. Warner's book as reading material for my Psych classes. Without exception, my students report of the incredible life changing insights they have gained from reading "Bonds... " and how it has greatly enhanced their understanding of psychology as well as their relationships. I find my greatest joy in teaching is to observe the changes that occur over the semester as my students apply the principles they learn from Warner. They find a new view of themselves as well as a deeper meaning to life. What is incredible is they do this while comparing Warner's principles to the Psych theories related to the course material. As an instructor I too find myself continually learning each semester as I renew my understanding of Psychology and Warner's concepts. Try it, it is incredible.
