Review: Once again, Kevyn Aucoin astonishes us with his cosmetic artistry. I bought Making Faces last year and it has been a staple of my beauty routine since. Face Forward reads easy and is filled to the brim with beautiful photography of some of the most influential women of our time including Madonna, Winona Ryder, Cher and Gwyneth Paltrow. He also transforms their already gorgeous faces to reflect the personal style and image of some of the greatest screen legends of all time like Audrey Hepburn, Faye Dunaway and Liz Taylor. If for nothing else, view this book for the beautiful artistry and photography...you'll love it!

Review: Just from the experts I have read, I can tell you this is an increadable book!! From the pictures, you couldn't tell me winnoa ryder was not liz taylor, or martha sterwert (side note- Proof he is an true artist) is Veronica Lake. BRAVO!!

Review: Kevyn Aucoin has outdone himself again. This is an awesome step by step account of how to transform yourself. I have his other books and I can definitely say that this is my favorite. He takes everyday people and morphs them into a more glamourous version of themselves. This man is a "Master Beauty Magician"!

Review: This is an amazing, BEAUTIFUL, almost magical book of transformations. Anyone who can turn the domestic Martha Stewart into a truly sultry goddess has my vote. The makeup to create the different looks is a very interesting study and can even help you modify your own style to emulate someone you perhaps idolize. It's also interesting to note just how much eye makeup the old Hollywood stars must have had on! Kevin has done it again. I recommend this for anyone who loves to have FUN with makeup!

Review: Kevyn Aucoin is one of the best make up artist of the present. His books belongs to the greatest guides you can have. The latest one called Face Forward is not different. Kevyn has co-operated with the best photographers including Patrick Demarchelier,Herb Ritts, Stephen Meisel and more. Face Forward is the real must-have for every women and make-up fans and stylist. I'd recommend it to all of you.

Review: Well, he did it again! As a fan of Making Faces, I have been looking forward to this book for a while. Not only are his tips excellent and useful, but the pictures are absolutley beautiful. Kevyn is a make-up guru...who else could have transformed Martha Stuart into Veronica Lake?? Kudos Kevyn!

Summary: Good, but not an improvement from Making Faces.
Review: Based on the same principles as Making Faces, Kevyn Aucoin created a reasonable sequel of his first book. However, making faces definitely had something in it that Face Forward is missing. If you liked Making Faces, I would recommend getting this book, too, but if you want to get one or the other, I would recommend Making Faces.

Summary: Practical and fanciful makeup all in one book
Review: Kevyn Aucoin does a good job of showing women how to do everyday makeup, including highlighting and lowlighting areas to emphasize the positive and unique features of each person. The beauty of this book though is in illustrating how makeup can be used to transform one's face for stunning and whimsical looks. I would recommend this to someone who is familiar with makeup but would like to learn how powerful a tool it can be.

Review: This is the second time I have purchased a book by Kevyn Aucoin. I also purchased (and reviewed "Making Faces" which I loved) and I absolutely LOVE him. He is without a doubt the most talented make-up artist in the world. He is amazingly talented and takes make-up to a higher level. It is true art that this man creates. I am astonished and awed every time I see his work. There is so many wonderful and creative ideas that are certainly within the reach of the average woman. BUT, there is also that wonderful element of Fantasy that "Face Forward" brings to the table. He is brilliant and I just love his work. It's a wonderful resource and a fabulous coffee-table book. I really think you'll love it.
