Summary: Best Book on Seduction/Persuaion to come in a long time
Review: the book is well organized and gives a person a good look into wht is seduction, then goes on the explain the eight kinds of seducers and finally explain the process

The 8 kind sof seducers allows one tofigure out what is the kind that is best suited for oneself. He cleverly mixes the attitudes of each with the magic of metaphors fromhistory

After explainign the kinds of seducers he gets down to the process of seduction. He lays out the 24 laws (proccesses) of having a complete seduction. This is the real meat of the whole persuasion game.

this is a must read for anyone involved in the feilds of NLP, DHE or SS. Some poeple may find it to be immoral or downright offesnive to have such a manual in the market....but like fire you ould use this manual either to cook good meal or get yourself burnt

Summary: Another Winner!
Review: Greene has done it again. The author of "The 48 Laws of Power" has cooked up another feast of practical psychology. "Seduction" is written in the same format as "48 Laws" with the help of Joost Elffers. The print is a bit on the small side - I would have enjoyed the same book "size" as "48 Laws" - but why quibble? There may actually be more words in "Seduction." It is written in the same great style as "48 Laws." And I would reccomend approaching Greene's second book with the same spirit of adventure and fun I reccomended in the first. Expect to be educated and entertained. Seduce or be seduced! It's your choice! :)

Summary: Perceptive and challenging
Review: 'The Art of Seduction' is about willfully exploiting other people's weaknesses in order to seduce them.

The book deals not only with romantic seduction, but also the type of charismatic seduction that allows certain political leaders for example to wield enormous power over the public.

The type of seduction talked about here is more than the everyday level of admiration, it's about how to really get under people skins, how to make them obsessed with you. Not surprisingly the author makes it clear that not everyone can be seduced in this way, that you need to find someone who has some large hole in their character ready to be exploited.

The book is divided into two sections. The first outlines different types of powerfully seductive characters - whose traits you might nurture in yourself. For example, the 'Natural' who embodies childhood, playfulness, spontineity and unpretentiousness. The second half of the book outlines a number of strategies and maneuvers to be employed in the seduction process. One example is to 'Stir up the transgressive and taboo'. Another small section explains a number of 'victim' types, their character weaknesses and how to exploit them. For example you may seduce a 'Professor' type - the intellectual who cannot leave their head, by providing an escape to physicality.

Many points are illustrated using examples from historical and literary figures, including relative recent examples such as JFK.

Although i doubt i will ever consciously use any of the techniques outlined, still I found the book quite perceptive and fascinating. One thing I repeated wondered is why you would want to seduce someone you have such a cynical understanding of the weaknesses of. Still I have no doubt that highly seductive people instinctively employ many of the techniques mentioned. I'm no psychologist, but many of the book's remarks on human nature rang true to me.

I doubt the book's usefulness as a Manual for Seduction (those who need self-help book are no doubt seduced by the idea of this!), but I'd recommend it to anyone with a deep interest in how the world works.

Summary: Best book on winning over the opposite sex!!!
Review: The topic of seduction has interested me for a long time and this book is absolutely superb!!! What stands out most is its "completeness" - all different types of personalities for seducers and targets of seduction are discussed, various stages of the seduction process are carefully laid out and their components discussed at great length and thoroughly analyzed. I especially liked the numerous examples of actual people from real life that the author provides making it very clear what the seduction involve.

I would call this book the "textbook" on seduction. It is fairly long and very thorough guide manual on how to become an irresistible seducer. If you're looking for something quick and easy to flip through, this is not the book for you. If you want to seriously study the art and practice of seduction - this is probably the best book, at least to start with. The book deals with the topic of seduction for both men and women.

You should also know that the seduction this book deals with is not of the cheap ordinary kind, where you just want to take the person to bed with you. This book is about learning to make another person fall passionately in love with you - about winning their mind first, before conquering their body. It's the kind of seduction that often requires patience, time and lots of careful scheming. If you just want a few tips on picking up a girl (or a guy), you should look elsewhere.

Yes, this book does not consider morality, but it is only the better for that. The most successful seducers often don't concern themselves with issues of morality. The book lays out the techniques of seduction in a brutal, but very truthful and realistic (maybe even cruel) way. Good seducers are not always compassionate or acting out of good will - that's just how the world actually is. When it comes time for you to applying these techniques, it will be up to you to decide how moral or amoral you choose to be.

GREAT BOOK! Highly recommended for all would-be seducers!!!

Summary: A diva/seductress is humbled...
Review: This book will change your life--if you're ready for it. I actually bought this book 4 months ago, but never read it. It was just a conversation piece I'd have in my bookshelf. I flipped through the pages and think, "This is really intense." Then I'd put it back on the shelf and read something else. It wasn't until I received it as a gift from my best friend that I actually had the courage to sit down and absorb what lay inside.

This book is perfect for those who are overly romantic, hypersensitive, and think that love is an "all or nothing" quantity. I am all three. :) Or at least I was. The author of this book is brilliant (and did a LOT of homework judging by the material both in the body of the text as well as in the margins). I was impressed (and intimidated) by the density of the book--which is probably why I didn't want to read it at first. It took me about an hour to read 10 pages (not "skim," but "READ"). But I couldn't put it down because I felt that whatever I didn't get to read was making my present-day actions incomplete. (Yup. It's that powerful.)

I devoted a solid week of my time to reading this book (and yes, I do have a job--and a life). It was just that good. I'm actually reading it a second time to make sure what I gleaned remains in my mind. It helps if you're somewhat of an educated individual, though. Some mythological references stirred up things I had learned in middle and high school, so I had to constantly refresh my memory and think, "Oh yeah! I remember that story!"

If you open this book and find it daunting, then you're not ready for it. Simple. But when you are ready for it (or when a third party who loves you and knows you well believes you're ready), you won't want to put it down. It's an amazing text which completely altered how I view both myself and the world around me. If you're open to change, this is the book for you. If not, then you'll probably be a seducer's willing victim somewhere down the road. :)

Summary: A must have book on picking up women
Review: I just bought this book and I love it. A good book on "how to" books to pick up women. It's simple, honest and the author did his research. This book is one of the best books I've read on the subject. There's a lot us guys can learn in this book. The title is accurate. This book is a must have. A great investment.
Here are othe books I recomment:
1)"How to 'Pick Up' Beautiful Women" by John Eagan - By Far The Best Of All The Dating Books!
2)"U.S.S." by Leil Lowndes.
3)"How to Meet the Right woman" By Roger Ratcliff
4)"Understanding Women" By Romy Miller
You can find more books under the subjects of "how to pick up women", "how to pick up girls" and "dating" on this site.

Summary: I liked the book, hated the audio version.
Review: The guy reading on the audio version seems to have a complete disregard to 'periods' at the end of sentences. He combines sentences and speaks without pausing. The final outcome is that it spoils the listening experience. It sounds weird.

Content-wise the book is a fun read. I have definately not become manipulative, scheming, cunning etc.. I have learnt a little bit more about how people thought/think. It is definately an interesting read.

Summary: The motive matters
Review: I've noticed in reviews and conversations I've had with some acquaintances about this book that a number of people think the author is promoting "slimy" behavior. While it's true that a person could use the basic principles of seduction in amoral and unethical ways seduction at its heart is no more evil than a middle school girl's guide to being charming. The idea is to pay attention to the desires of the people around you in order to make them happy and make them want to make you happy in return. That's not so bad, is it?

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Interesting, relatively insightful
Review: This book contains historical and fictional examples of seduction - and gives some insight into how human beings dominate the minds of others, from a personal to a political scale. It is worth reading for the examples which prove interesting, but don't listen to any crap reviews which are people trying to flog you the book - there is nothing revelationary here, but still very interesting you will understand how to manipulate people maybe a little better here and there.
