Rating: Summary: "My God,it's full of stars" Review: ... This book explains the psychology of seduction. With examples throughout history it shows what works, and what doesn't. It doesn't start from the humanistic premise that all people are generally good, but from the biblical idea that "all men are evil" and will do evil. This makes the book downright devilish, and extremely practical and useful. Approach indirectly, play the coquette, mix pleasure with pain, insinuate, "Use the demonic power of words to sow confusion", be hard to figure out. These are just some examples and this stuff works. This is a handbook on manipulation. Although it can also be used to avoid being manipulated (very usefull, indeed). Do yourself a favor, learn from the past, not only your past but the past of peoples from the dawn of time. This book was worth every cent.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Review: I was tempted to write a horrible review on this book because I really dont think everyone should have access to some of the ideas contained in the book. This book needs to be absorbed, not read. It certainly brings home that life works though an indirect approach. I wish I understood the principles and knowledge in this book 20 years ago. I certainly think my love life would have been much more exciting and I really believe I would have been successful at a much younger age. I would have avoided some serious mistakes in my life....The certainly gives one an edge in life, that most people dont enjoy or have a clue exists.
Rating: Summary: I was offended at first ... Review: When I first read from here I was offended, then I realized all the people out there playing games. The details are great but be prepared, some peoples sensibilites could be offended by this book. (I plan to try to put some of these into practice myself, as being a nice guy just does not seem to work!)
Rating: Summary: Recently Purchased This Book. Review: An interesting book. Small print and quite a few pages have the margins filled with small print also. I am enjoying reading this. Interesting psychological points. Though I personally don't believe that people can be seduced unless they are naive or stupid. People know when you are pulling psychology on them and then they will either get even in some way or avoid you. If someone likes you, you don't need to seduce them, and you can actually drive away someone you could have succeeded with by playing mind games with them.
Rating: Summary: Fascinating Art Review: The tactics in this book are quite alluring. When I put it into use and seduce a married, I feel myself like a spider. However,it being a manupulative manual, I find it too artistic and need too much imagination and some chapters are redundant indeed. In sum, read it, pratice it and expect some failure and you will get what you want.
Rating: Summary: Not seductive. Review: This is a clever package, appearing to be both "how-to" and a lofty piece of research. But its either irrelevant or the worst kind of self-help book (like Learn To Speak Fluent Chinese In 10 Minutes Or Less). As with this guy's other book, there is a concious attempt to make it seem naughty by using words like "target" and "victim" but I found that just makes it more unpleasant. The only thing immoral or amoral about this is that they try to pass it off as something important. And that IS naughty.
Rating: Summary: Good stuff Review: This book has all the secrets for successful seduction. In our age of rushing and impatience, the actions required for successful seduction are difficult. But let's be honest, seduction is the ultimate thrill if you have patience and control of your emotions. And I can honestly tell you - this book has given me techniques that really work.
Rating: Summary: magical Review: I finished this book in 1 weekend. If you have appreciation for classic literature, story-telling, insight into human psychology, and the dynamtics of men v.s.women, love v.s. lust, you are in for a wild ride. This book covers certain concepts and ideas that you have probably been exposed to throughout your life, however the eloquent and exotic stories the author had woven into each chapters make his arguements potent and intoxicating. Even if you do not agree with the methods/tricks this book offers, you will still enjoy reading about it.
Rating: Summary: Recommended! Review: An excellent book for those of us who have felt powerless with the opposite sex. A must buy! Another excellent book, The Evolution of a Warrior (Regan), based on a true story, is a great novel about a divorced young man mentored by a therapist in many of the same techniques found in this book.
Rating: Summary: Perfect companion to "the 48 laws of power" Review: An extremely well-written compliment to "the 48 laws of power." Greene uses his superb education in the classics to elequently show time-tested principles in "the art of seduction." If you are looking for a step-by-step instruction manual on how to pick up Newport smoking house frowls at your local watering hole, look somewhere else. Greene doesn't write that way. But if you'd like a well-written account of age old principles that cites classical examples, buy this book.
