Rating: Summary: Im' not starving and I'm not eating rice cakes Review: I lost 6 lbs in first week, and 12 in three weeks. The eating plan is from the viewpoint of digestion, don't mix proteins, carbohydrates and fruits. Cut out sugars, refined starches and foods that are combinations of protein and carbs. I have been eating more vegatables but also more meat. The book is 60 pages of theory and the rest are recipes.
Rating: Summary: eating good and feeling good Review: i've only been on this program for a week but i feel full of energy. i've also been on every other diet under the sun but this one is giving me new hope. i think my metabolisim is messed up from years of dieting and since this seems sensible and healthy i'm willing to give it all i've got. there are some things puzzling me such as the low-fat food category. for example if i eat low-fat cottage cheese or low-fat grated parmasean cheese what does it count as as protein or carb Also can I have anything like swiss miss cocoa which is fat free and sugar free. i would also like to know from anyone how long it took to see results. I do feel better and feel like i lost inches but no weight has dropped yet. i guess i need some encouragement so anyone want to e-mail me please do so at jr (barex@ix.netcom.com) new york- thank you, jr
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I love this book. I've lost weight and the recipes are to die for. I hope Suzanne continues to develop recipes and comes out with a sequel. The only bone of contention I have is that although she notes that she learned about this method of food combining in France, she doesn't give credit where credit is due i.e., the work of Michel Montignac (check the web, his books have been published in English and can be ordered from the Montignac Boutique in London). Perhaps if she comes out with a revised book or a sequel, she'll list all the references she actually used. In any event, her book is highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Easy way to lose weight without deprivation - great recipes. Review: Saw Suzanne Somers on a TV cooking spot and her recipe for chicken with lemon caper butter sauce caught my eye. I bought the book to lose weight, but would recommend it for the recipes alone. She teaches about food combining and using fresh ingredients and best of all, fresh herbs. Food never tasted better and I get to eat bacon - imagine that!!
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable! I'm hooked for life. Review: When my wife bought this book I frowned and thought, "More wasted money on a fad." WRONG! I read, I tried, I lost 20 lbs. in one month and I'm where I want to be. The best part is that this is more of a lifestyle than a diet which means the weight is staying off. Even when I occasionally indulge I don't gain the weight back. I've never felt better or looked better. In fact, my new look and feel is so noticeable that two people in my office have gone out and bought this book. No more deprivation, no more fat and life is good!

Review: I have not tried the recipes, but I know the information on food combining works---I lost a pound a day for the first five days, and am currently losing about 3 pounds a week without any sense of deprivation whatsoever! Rating: Summary: The ONLY diet I have tried that really works. Review: My husband and I started "Somersizing" in March. He lost the 20 lbs. he wanted to lose, and I have lost 32 lbs. so far. I feel absolutely great and wish I could thank Suzanne in person for writing this book. This way of eating has changed my life; I feel like a new person!!
Rating: Summary: Eat Great Lose Weight... Review: Suzanne Somers way of eating is the best I have heard of so far. I just started and have to train myself to eat this way. I have a couple of questions. Under the fowl list of foods to eat it doesn't mention turkey, did I just miss it. Also I don't completely understand why Tofu is a funky food. If anyone has the answer please let me know. One more question, Are non stick sprays and brown rice sugars o.k. I'm excited about this book. I can't wait for the results to show
Rating: Summary: If you're really ready to lose weight, this book is great! Review: This past Mother's Day, I took my mom to a Mexican food buffet. I ate like I'd never have another enchilada in my life and four hours later I was still full. Later that day, as I sat in a daze on my couch, I saw Suzanne Somers talking about her book on tv.
I have had a weight problem for as long as I can remember. Nothing else was working, so I decided to give this diet a try. I lost 4 lbs the first week and have been losing 1-2 lbs a week. This diet really works! Suzanne introduces each recipe with a personal comment and the food is delicious.
Do yourself a favor, and get started now!
Rating: Summary: This book is fabulous!! The best eating plan ever... Review: I am a veteran of many types of weight loss schemes- I have so many books regarding eating and weight loss. This book is the best!! I have lost 9 lbs in one month but a side benefit is that I feel better and healthier than ever!! The key for me is that when I'm hungry there is always something yummy to eat. I eat only whole grains, fruits, vegetables and meats. My food bill is lower(no processed foods)--traveling and restaurant eating is a breeze!!!
I really would like to thank Suzanne for this plan!
